Descent of The Supreme Being

Before time began, there existed a higher-dimensional entity—the Supreme Being—who created everything in existence, from gods to galaxies. He tasked the gods with shaping the universe, giving rise to planets, stars, and the mortal world of Terra. For eons, the Supreme Being watched over his creation from his divine throne, observing the rise and fall of civilizations and the complex lives of mortals. However, as ages passed, the Supreme Being grew weary of his role as a mere observer. Bored by the predictable patterns of existence, he made a daring decision—to abandon his divine throne and descend into Terra as a mortal. Taking on a human form, he sought to experience life firsthand, to understand the joys, sorrows, and challenges that mortals face. As he journeys through Terra, the Supreme Being, now known as Arthur, discovers the beauty and pain of mortal existence. But his presence in the mortal realm begins to disrupt the natural order, drawing the attention of the gods. Faced with a choice between returning to his divine realm or embracing his newfound humanity, Arthur's decision will determine the fate of both Terra and himself. Chapter 27: A New Dawn

The early morning sun filtered through the wide windows of Arthur's estate, casting a golden hue over the spacious room. He stood by the window, sipping a cup of tea, the calmness of the day sinking into his bones. It was peaceful—a rare moment of solitude where his thoughts weren't occupied by battles or complex schemes.

Today was different. There were no pressing dangers, no looming threats. It was simply another day in the city of Astrea, and Arthur planned to make the most of it.

The sound of footsteps echoed through the halls, and before long, Elara appeared, her usual confident smile brightening the room. "Morning, Arthur," she greeted, walking up to him. "You're up early."

"I could say the same for you," Arthur replied, glancing at her with a grin. "Planning something?"

Elara shrugged, her light blue hair catching the sunlight as she moved. "Maybe. I thought we could do something different today. It's not often we get a day like this."

Arthur raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What do you have in mind?"

She looked thoughtful for a moment before responding. "I was thinking we could head to the training grounds. You know, get some sparring in. I've been working on a new technique, and I could use a partner."

Arthur chuckled, setting down his cup. "So, you're using me as your training dummy?"

"Not just any training dummy," Elara teased, nudging him lightly. "You're the best one I know."

Despite the playful banter, Arthur could see the fire in her eyes—the determination she always carried. Elara had always been driven, and it was one of the things he admired about her. She never backed down from a challenge, always pushing herself to grow stronger.

"Alright," Arthur said with a smirk. "Let's see what you've got."

---

The training grounds were quiet when they arrived. The space was vast, lined with sand and marked by various targets and equipment. A perfect place for honing one's skills.

Elara wasted no time, stepping onto the field and stretching her arms. "Ready?"

Arthur nodded, loosening his muscles as well. "Ready when you are."

With a swift motion, Elara summoned her magic, her hands glowing with a faint icy aura. The temperature around them dropped slightly, and Arthur could feel the energy in the air shift. She had been refining her ice-based attacks, and it was clear she wanted to test her progress.

"Let's go!" Elara called, launching forward.

Her first move was quick, a burst of icy shards that shot toward Arthur. He dodged with ease, his body moving in sync with the flow of energy around him. Elara wasn't just testing her magic—she was testing her speed, her precision.

Arthur responded by summoning his own power, keeping it restrained but enough to keep up with her pace. He darted around her attacks, weaving through the icy blasts as if they were nothing more than a breeze. Elara's expression tightened with focus as she intensified her efforts, her movements becoming more fluid, more strategic.

Their sparring became a dance of power and skill, each movement calculated, each attack designed to push the other. Arthur could tell how much Elara had improved. Her control over her ice magic had sharpened, and her reflexes were faster than before.

But he wasn't one to be easily outdone.

As Elara charged forward again, Arthur shifted his stance, his hand glowing faintly as he redirected her attack, sending a shockwave of energy through the air. Elara slid back, her boots skidding in the sand, but she quickly regained her footing, a smile spreading across her face.

"You've been holding back," she accused playfully.

"Maybe," Arthur replied, a grin tugging at his lips. "But I'm not the only one."

Elara smirked and took a deep breath, gathering her magic for something bigger. The ground around them started to freeze as a ring of ice formed beneath her feet, expanding outward. Arthur could feel the chill in the air intensify as she prepared her next move.

Before she could release it, however, Arthur moved with blinding speed, appearing behind her in an instant. He gently tapped her shoulder, freezing her in place—both literally and figuratively.

"You're quick," Elara admitted, breathing heavily as she allowed the ice around her to melt away.

"And you're stronger than last time," Arthur noted, offering her a hand to help her up.

Elara took his hand, her fingers cold from the magic, but her grip firm. She pulled herself to her feet, looking satisfied with the sparring session. "Thanks for the match. I needed that."

"Anytime," Arthur replied, giving her a nod.

As they walked back to the entrance of the training grounds, Elara's expression softened, and she glanced at him with a more serious look. "You know, Arthur… you've been a big part of why I've been pushing myself so hard."

Arthur looked at her, surprised by her sudden shift in tone. "What do you mean?"

Elara paused for a moment, as if gathering her thoughts. "Back when we first met, I didn't think much about it, but seeing how calm and strong you are, especially in situations where most people would fall apart… it's made me realize I want to be better, too. I don't want to just be strong for myself—I want to be strong enough to stand beside you."

Arthur blinked, caught off guard by her honesty. It wasn't like Elara to speak so openly about her feelings, but he appreciated it nonetheless. He could see the sincerity in her eyes, the genuine desire to grow.

"Elara, you're already strong," he said gently. "You don't have to prove anything to me."

Elara smiled, though there was a hint of something deeper in her expression. "Maybe. But I still want to keep getting stronger. And… I don't want to be a burden to you."

"You're not a burden," Arthur reassured her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You never have been."

Elara's smile widened, a light blush dusting her cheeks. "Thanks, Arthur."

They stood there for a moment, the air between them filled with unspoken words, a silent understanding passing between them. It wasn't just about training or power anymore—it was about the bond they were forming, the connection that was growing deeper with each passing day.

As they made their way back to the estate, Elara's usual confident demeanor returned, though Arthur could sense that something had changed between them. It wasn't just about sparring partners or friends anymore—there was something more there, something neither of them had fully acknowledged yet.

But for now, they were content to leave it unspoken, letting their actions speak for themselves.
