New Heaven

As the White Jade made it across the ocean, Nodus decided to stop traveling through space, allowing the generals and the princess to see the situation of the planet.

"As we thought.."

The generals surrounded the princess as they tried to comfort her.

Although the lives of everyone who lived on this planet had nothing to do with her, Song Ai still felt like she had to take over her father position even if it was temporarily.

'Father would always be gone most of the times... Is this why?'

While the generals missed their homes, the princess could only think of her father, wishing for him to be safe and sound.

"Here, is the portal."

Lingxi eyes shot out a ray of light as she sat beside Nodus while Bai An stared at the front window with a puzzled look as she stood behind the young man's chair.

Even though Nodus did not need any protection, Song Ai still urged for the two generals to always be around him just in case something happened.

"Is this it? A dimensional tunnel to a whole new heavens?"

Bai An inquired as she could not see anything but an empty grassy hill in the middle of nowhere.

"Bai An, quiet."

Lingxi placed her finger in front of her mouth, indicating to the clueless woman to not make any sound.

"Senior Nodus, what are the terms for.."

"A wormhole, the bridge to another galaxy."

Lingxi eyes sparkled as she wrote down whatever the young man said while demanding more details.

Nodus looked at the little general who was almost as short as him and replied with a smile.

"A galaxy can contain trillions of a planetary system, the sun and all the realms around it counts as one.."

Lingxi undoubtedly knew that Nodus explored the field of space more than anyone else she knew as he had the answers to every of her question.

"And that... Is the basic teaching from grade 3."

"Grade 3? As in school?"

Nodus nodded while Lingxi pictured the group of confused young adults being taught the space dao.

'Hmm...We have to be at least a Light Immortal to comprehend that..'

She remembered her times under the emperor guidance, other than the current generals, everyone else had white hair or long beards.

While Lingxi went through many phases of expression, Nodus started the countdown that appeared on his screen by pressing a red button.

As soon the number hit zero, the entire spacecraft was surrounded by a purple tunnel that flashed past them.

The other generals were enjoying the view while Lingxi and Meng Chang recorded the scene with their own handmade device.

'It can give me a new inspiration in tempering!'

While Lingxi was the chief alchemist of the of the royal palace and acted mostly on knowledge, Meng Chang, on the other hand, was a master in crafts, her ancestor even built one of the giant wooden statues that guarded the temple.

'So it's a scientist and a mechanic.'

Nodus looked at the odd pair of girls and thought of something.

Suddenly, the flashing purple light that bounced off in the room disappeared and was replaced by a bright sunlight in the blue skies.

"Look at that!"

"It's a mountain?!"

The girls plastered their face on the window as the peak of the Forever Summer mountain.

The beautiful lake and the glistering green lush of the vegetation left them in awe.

Nodus drove down and landed right beside the pool of water.

"How far is this... Galaxy?"

Lingxi followed Nodus as they were the last ones to leave the White Jade.

"If you flew in those ray of light, it would take you just 1.2 billion years."

Lingxi and Bai An who was on the side gulped as they heard that since the ray of light he was talking about was their quickest way to travel through space to fend off the invaders that would approach any of their realms.

"This-... This wormhole is amazing! Can it be created... Or how can one access it..?"

The barrage of scientific questions made Nodus felt like he was in a classroom once again.

"I can teach you all of that later, I have books and presentation."

Lingxi sparkling eyes sparkled as she follows behind the young man while humming.

Suddenly, Hou Li dashed in front of the princess as he stared at the tall stone walls on the edge of the mountain.

"Princess, please stay behind me!"

The magical beast slowly came out in together while the black crows flooded out of the manmade holes and caves above the walls.
