Early Preparations

As they arrived home together , Nodus noticed that the lights were turned off and as soon they took a step out of the elevator , they chuckled quietly. "They are actually still awake.." Lulu whispered to Nodus as she sneakily made her way toward Kathrina's door.

"Then.. I beat him up with my fist and he never disobeyed me again , hehehe , I even made him steal Lati's under... Clothes." The girls laughed together as Kathrina was telling about her childhood stories that involved Lati and Naire.

"But how long is uncle and aunty are going to be gone for?.." " I miss them." Both Ali and Mimi still didn't know where the couple actually went. " Don't worry.. They should be back in 3 months at most!" Seeing that the little girl had a sad expression , Nodus tried to cheer her up as he stroked her head. "We're back."

Hearing the voice that was followed up by a couple of knocks , Kathrina and the girls hurriedly sat up from the bed and went toward the door. "Nodus , Lulu! You are finally back!!" Kathrina dragged those two into her room and slammed the door shut.

"We went to get some missions to do along the way.. I got some few deliveries and a gathering one at Forever Green mountain." Nodus was surprised by the last mission as he heard about the location. 'Maybe it's about times..'

With 3 delivery missions , 1 gathering and 2 exploring prepared for tomorrow , Kathrina was relief that all of them were not dangerous. 'I am here so nothing will happen to them , mhmm.'

After a short 5 hours nap , Nodus , Lulu and Kathrina were already ready while the two young girls were still soundly asleep in bed. "We can let them sleep for one more hour , let's go pick up the parcels now?" With the sun light against the wall at 6 AM , Kathrina was finally introduced about the new transport.

As Nodus got closer to F-1 , he pressed something on his watch and the doors of the vehicle slid upward. While the door silently opened and bended into the roof , Kathrina was amazed by the small but comfortable interior. With 2 seats in the front , 2 in the middle and 3 at the back , other than the rear seats , the rest was separated with a small passageway so that they could actually go around without leaving the vehicle.

"This will be my seat as I will be the driver , otherwise , Lulu and sister Kathrina can seat anywhere." Kathrina decided to sit right behind Nodus while Lulu was across him on the front passenger seats. "Where to?" Lulu took a piece of paper that had a rough road map drawn onto it and showed to the young man.

"Thank you Lulu." Seeing the young girl actually didn't go to sleep right away so that she could make the map for him , Nodus felt touched by how thoughtful she is. "Mhmm.. We should go to this one first big brother." Nodus nodded and pressed a button beside the steering wheel that started the quiet engine. *Zzzzz*

The two girls were surprised that the vehicle was moving by itself as it went through the open gates and down the road. "Amazing Nodus! Your techomancy carriage is so useful! Can you teach me how to drive it later?" Kathrina was praising the comfortable ride as she looked out through the dim window that is meant to protect from the sunlight.

"I can teach you , when you get used to it you can even have it." Kathrina stood up and held him around the neck and she gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Aww Nodus treats me so good." Lulu smiled as she was happy that Nodus is really close with one of her family.

The car's wheel were made out of a tempered smooth metal so it didn't look like it was spinning at all with the pitch black tire around it. "Wow , what is that..?" "It's moving without itself.. A powered carriage?.." "It looks like it.. Only the rich people could afford to burn crystals to get to places.." Even though it was early in the morning , the street was still filled with people who woke up early to set up their stalls and shops.

"Hehehe , everyone is wondering what kind of carriage is this." Kathrina who was feeling like a child again felt really happy that she could tag along and that she could get to drive this car soon in the future.

Arriving at a big restaurant , Lulu caught the owner who just entered the key into the doors. "Owner Hu? I am Lulu , the one who took your mission.." Lulu showed the chubby manager her paper before he nodded and gave her a box that was wrapped in cloth with a beautiful butterfly texture.

"It's a fragile present for my niece , please give it to her directly." The chubby owner had a storage ring too so he knew that it wouldn't move one bit if Lulu stores it in hers so he didn't bother to tell her to handle with care. "Don't worry owner Hu , I will make sure that she personally receives it." The owner happily nodded and watched the young girl opening the door on the weird carriage.

"A carriage? Where is the mounts?" He didn't hear the quiet engine at all so naturally , he didn't see it moving either. *zzzZZ* With the green speed meter bar slowly filling up the front screen , Nodus quickly made his way toward the next stop without any traffic. "Amazing... Will the boss sell that in the future.." The chubby owner could see the Proxi logo on the rear and front rims as it quickly faded away up the street.

"We still have 17 days until the birthday and even more times for the rest of the delivery so we should go gather the herb and flower first." Nodus suggest his plans and the two girls naturally went along with his logical thinking.

With the second and third parcel received , Nodus drove back to the mansion to only find out that the two little girls were standing in front of the gate. "There they are!" The two girls ran toward the vehicle as they waved their hands up the air while Shishi ran after them.

"Boohoo.. Sorry.. We overslept." Mimi and Ali was acting all sad but everyone else could see that they were happy as they feet dangled in front of the seats. "You sneaky girls!" Kathrina stood up and went toward the back seat to hold onto the two girls.

"Where are we going now big brother Nodus?" Ali asked as she stared at the side window. "To... Your village." Nodus just came up with the idea after he saw Ali and decided to reveal the surprise. "What!? Really??? Thank you so much big brother , thank you everyone!" Ali cried with joy as she really looked forward to tell her parents that she became a student in the academy.

Nodus felt that Lulu was looking at him and when he turned his head , he could see that she quietly thanked him by reading her lips."Mhmm , don't jump around too much when we are out of the gates alright." The girls nodded and as they reached the north gates , Nodus slid down his window and threw a dozen gold coin to the guard.

"Ah! Thank you so much young master!" The fees was just a silver for the north gate but Nodus actually gave him enough for all of the guards to provide half a year worth of food for their family. " I will be back." Many rich people paid ahead so that they didn't want to bother stopping again just to re enter the city so the guards were used to it.

"You better remember that weird magic carriage." The captain came down and held onto the shoulders of the two outside guards. "Of course captain.. That carriage had the Proxi brand on it..." The unit box was so popular within the entire city that it was rare to find someone who didn't know of the Proxi shop and especially the hook gun was even more popular with the workers of the city. Climbing the walls for maintenance , going up the buildings to clean the windows , everything has been so easier to reach with the hook gun.

"I will turn on the heating , let me know if it's too much." Nodus rotated a switch on the middle panel while the girls were staring at him with a confused look. "Ah! I feel so warm!" Lulu could instantly feel the heat coming out from the vent in front of her legs as she looked at everyone with a surprised look. "Me too!"

Nodus smiled and pressed on the wheel icon before putting more pressure onto the acceleration pedal. *Woosh..ZZZZ!!* The car slowly levitated as wheels rotated inward and while the metal rims were facing the ground , the car quickly sped through the blizzard without touching the snowy ground. "Nodus! Can it also go on water surfaces?!" Kathrina shouted from the back as she inquired about the car while Shishi made his way into the trunk and stared at the back windshield.

"Yes , it can float on any surface with the anti-materials technology." Although she never heard of those terms , Kathrina simply nodded and laid back down against the seats. 'Mom.. Dad.. I am coming home!' With 600 miles per hours , the group would soon arrive at the village which was a distance away from the Forever Green Mountain
