Chapter 4 - I'm Sorry

(Jacob’s POV)

“Where are you going? We have no class right now.” Flicke’s really bugging me for already in an hour. He’s not this curious back then he’s really annoying right now. What came in his mind that he likes to bother me? This is even not his business.

“Maybe he’s meeting someone else?” I shifted my gaze to Clay who’s busy playing with his phone. I don’t know how he easily learned to use that thing but we’re thankful too that we don’t look like idiots here in earth. But he’s now addicted with it, poor him.

“Shut up bro. I’m meeting my bride. You, have you seen yours?” I gave him an evil smile to annoy him and yes I’m successful. “By the way where’s Kin?” I asked. I’m already looking for him a couple of minutes and I can’t see him here. I don’t also want to barge in his room. He’s different when he’s mad

“In his room.” Dew uttered that came out of nowhere. His power is really creepy. He’ll just spurt out and the sometimes disappear without any notice. How I wish ganon that was my ability.

As I finished fixing myself, I ran towards Kin’s room. Good thing that I’m free to use my ability here inside.

I’m already at the front of Kin’s room but I’m still thinking if I’ll just open it or I should knock first. He might get mad if I’ll just open it and he might also get annoyed if I knock. He hates noisy.

“What is it Jacob.” Damn it! I forgot that he can read minds

I slowly push the door of his room and I saw him changing his clothes. He’s going out too? “What do you want?” he uttered without looking at me. I’m not intimidated but it makes me shiver when he acts like this. Although he’s always like this but I may float right now without any notice.

“I want to...ask you…I have uhm…”

“I’ll join you.” He looked at me and he’s wearing tuxedo just like mine. “You have your date with Auzia right?” H-he knows? Did I over think about it?

“Kin, how many times do I have to tell you? Don’t read my thoughts.” My mood suddenly changed. I’m not really comfortable when he’s reading my mind without my word. I’m a secretive type of person and he knows that. Tsk!

“I-I’m sorry.” I glanced at him and he’s looking also at me. Did he just apologize!? This is madness. Did I turn the table upside down?

“No don’t be sorry, maybe I just over think about it.” He never said sorry to everyone so this is one of the miracles happened. Maybe Diana did something on him?

“I just want to go with you because Diana is going with her too.” His mood came back to normal. He’s stolid again. Bipolar!

(Diana’s POV)

“So when are they going to come?” It’s already an hour and that Jacob is still not here. Auzia and him has date right now and this girl just dragged me out of nowhere without even asking me if I wanted or not.

“Are you sure that he’ll come here? Maybe it’s just a prank of him?” she gave me a death stare so I’ll just shut up my mouth. She’s really head over heels with Jacob. He’s even conscious with her outfit last night. Her dresses are obviously elegant.

“Hey guys I’m sorry. Handsome men tend to be late sometimes.” Auzia’s face lit up as Jacob spurted here in our front.

“Hey Jacob, do you even know the word punctual? We’re waiting for you for almost an hour, dude.” He just scratches his head then sat in the chair where Auzia faces. But why is that? He looks cute a while ago.

“Don’t just sit there moron, go buy some……” My tongue suddenly froze when I spotted the person that must not be here right now. What the fuck is he doing here!

“Oh, Hi Kin. You’re here too.” Auzia greeted while grinning at me. She really thinks that this is a good idea?

“Well, Diana is here too, we should have some double date. Is it ok for you, Jacob?” The hell? He only asks for Jacob’s approval about it? I am the one who’s uncomfortable about it!

“Of course. Why not.” They took the chairs in front of us and sat like they’re really welcome. Of course, I don’t want to complain because I don’t want to ruin Auzia’s date, duh? I’m just containing myself not to blow up because Kin is sitting in front of me.

Arghhh! Whatever!

They both ordered some foods and as they started digging up, I couldn’t join their conversation since I don’t have any interest in joining. They are trying to ask about someone else’s info’s. Getting to know each other I guess.

“You Diana, what do you want to do after graduating?” and my time has come. Just as I thought that I wouldn’t be bothered here.

“Business.” Three of them looked at me like they heard me cursed. What’s the problem about it?

“Even though you can’t solve math problems? Nice dream.” I shifted my gaze to him. Does he really think that he’s cool with that? I didn’t remember asking for his opinion!

“Yeah it’s nice right Kin Arthkeil Del Conrielle.” Jacob stopped from eating his ice cream and glanced at me nervously, same with Auzia who’s just staring at me waiting for my next words. “It would be nicer if you won’t judge someone’s dream right?” you started this conversation asshole. This is a bullshit date!

“I’m just gonna order some Ice cream, mine is already empty.” Jacob nervously stands and pulls his chair but he also stopped when as I speak again.

“You’re just Jacob’s chaperone here and you’re making some little mess with his date. Isn’t it appropriate? Well frankly speaking, I’m here right now because I want to accompany my bestfriend since it’s her first date. But Auzia, I’m sorry but I need to leave now. I don’t want to ruin your majestic date with Jacob because of some assholes there.” I packed my belongings then went out without hearing their points. He’s really getting into my nerves. Does he like to get into someone’s nerves? Tss! Scumbag.

I was not that far away from the restaurant when someone grabs my hands. I unconsciously pulled my hands and was about to slap the person held it but I didn’t expect to see him kneeling in front of me. Other people are curiously looking at us.

“Hey, what do you think you’re doing? Get up dumbass. Other people are looking at us.” Isn’t he embarrassed about this? Other people would surely think that we broke up or something.

“Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it.” I was just staring at him trying to digest what is happening. He’s pouting like a kid after being scolded. H-he has s-side like this?

“O-okay. Just stand up, it’s embarrassing” He’s really a moody person. I wonder if I am the only one who knows this. Maybe Jacob knew too.

As he stood up, I unconsciously look up at him. I didn’t notice that he’s this tall. I remember, I was using sandals with heels when I go to school so maybe I never noticed it

“Do you want to go somewhere else?” I arched my left eyebrow. What does he want now?

“No. You still owe me something so we’re not going to anywhere.” He stared at me like he was reading my thought or something.

“Then where do you want you go? I mean a date.” I almost choke with my own saliva hearing him asking that. Did he say date?

“And you still have the guts to ask me out after what you did to me at the restaurant, huh?” Actually I’m okay about Auzia knowing that because she knows that I hate math. I’m just embarrassed about Jacob knowing it.

“What’s the matter with him?” What the! What’s the matter with him? Is he serious!

“Hoy, don’t you know the word embarrassed? Hello? Haven’t you experience being embarrass with the people that surrounds you?” or maybe he haven’t. His looks are also far from the possibility that he’ll be embarrass.

“Why bother? Both of you are friends anyway.” He’s just staring at me like a baby kid confessing his fault. He has a point though. Why didn’t I think about it?

“Fine! So where do you want to go?” if this is a cinema fan guy, well it’ll be boring later. I really don’t know the reason why other people waste their money just to watch some film in cinema where in fact you could just watch it online?

(Clay’s POV)

I was wondering where I could see my bride right now. Four of them already know where their bride is. Flicke told me that his bride is the sister of her group mate. Dew also meet his but he refuse to tell who it is. Kin and Jacob have Diana and Auzia which is very easy to approach since they are best friends.

“Clay I’ll be in Mandy’s house. Call me if there are some emergencies.” Flicke said while smiling happily before conjuring a portal that I don’t know where’s the destination. We’re being left again here watching TV. Dew is still in the sofa reading books.

“You still don’t know who’s your bride?” Dew asked suddenly without looking at me. I know that, between five of us, Dew is the most observant one so I’m not surprised that he already knows what’s bothering me these past few days.

“Yeah. I don’t know where I could find her.” He just nod and went back from reading.

I am the one who has enough knowledge about this planet yet I am the one who’s struggling from looking for my bride.

“I need to go.” I glance at Dew and he’s nowhere to find out.

“Invisibility.” I uttered and shook my head. Maybe I also need to go out. I know I could not find my bride if I’ll just sit here forever.

“Sir what’s you order?” I scan the whole list of different flavors of coffee and I’m not quite familiar about it. Coffee has flavors right now? There no such thing in Threa.

“What is the most popular flavor here?” I asked the lady wearing apron and her face suddenly turn red. Did I say it wrong? Why is it that her face is about to explode?

“Dalgona, Sir. Here.” She handed me a cup of coffee with some topping above it. This looks classy. This is my first time seeing this kind of serving a drink.

“How much is this?” I asked. I hope my money won’t is enough for this goddamn coffee. This is Jacob’s doing. He knows that he has date with Auzia but he didn’t look do something that he could earn money. He even just snatches my money without my word.

“No sir. It’s free for you since I think it’s your first time here.” She’s fixing some of her hair and smiling at me weirdly. Is she ok? Maybe she has a stomach-ache or something

“T-thanks.” I immediately went out from the coffee shop because it looks like that lady is about to explode. I’m sure she’s blushing because I know that feeling. I can determine emotions since I have the power of knowledge.

I walked in a hallway going to…I don’t know. I just wanted to walk but somebody bumped on me. I uttered a curse as I felt the coolness of the coffee dripping in my shirt and pants. Damn it!

“Oh my god! I’m so sorry sir. I’m really sorry.” She immediately gets some handkerchief of hers and rushed towards me to wipe the coffee in my shirt. I bit my lower lip as she wipes the handkerchief in me. To think that the coffee was spilled in my pants and it’s really near on my junior and like hell she’s still wiping it like she’s not touching something sensitive.

“I-it’s ok.” She stared at me nervously. She’s……she’s beautiful.

“Sir, are you ok.” I came back from my reverie as I heard her voice. She suddenly stood up and bowed at me.

“I’m really sorry, sir. I didn’t mean to do it.” That’s what happens when you’re not looking at the way.

I was about to leave when I saw my birth tattoo glowing like sun. She’s…..she’s my bride?!

“Wait up.” She suddenly froze and slowly turns her back at me. “Come with me.”

“Sir, don’t report me please? I don’t want to be in prison.”

“No I won’t. Just come with me. I’ll buy some pants.” She walks towards me shyly. She’s beautiful like a goddess.

“By the way, what’s your name?” her gaze shift at me but it’s just a couple of seconds.

“Jiana.”

“Just Jiana?” she scratches her head like thinking if she will answer me or not.

“Jiana Humps Strangestone.” Nice name.

“Nice to meet you.” I gave to her my hand for a handshake and she immediately shook it.

We almost took an hour choosing pants and shirts because Jiana can’t decide which looks nice to me. And here I am, staring at her to choose because I have no idea about earth’s fashion.

“I’m really sorry about what happened, Sir.” She’s still bowing.

“It’s okay. Besides you are the one who chose this and you even accompany me here.” We’re here actually at an Ice cream shop and I only do this to have longer time for her.

“Because you force me to, Sir.” I smiled a little bit. She’s like a pup.

“Don’t call me sir anymore. I’m Clay. Clay Anthon Van Laethan.”

“Woah. Nice name. You’re name is way cooler than mine.” Her tone suddenly changes. A while ago she looks like she attended some funeral, right now she acts like we’re friends for how many years. How quick!

“Uhm…Jiana.” She shifted her gaze to me while eating her ice cream. I need to do this. I won’t waste this time right now. She’s the only one who can help me. “Can I get your number?”

“Ah…phone number?” Jiana

“Yeah.” She grab something in her bag and I think is her phone.

“Give me your phone.” I also gave my phone to her and she began to type her number. “Here, why do you need it by the way?” she asked out of her curiosity.

“Cause I want to know more about you. I-Is it ok?” She stopped from eating her ice cream and stared at me shocked. Please tell m it’s ok.

“Ok. After all I still owe you something.” YES! This isn’t your fault because we are really destined to meet.

(Griego’s POV)

Almost a week since the five prince left this planet yet the fear and concern is still present here, especially right now where Hera is still unconscious. They are the only person who can tell us about the prophecy including the mothers of Prince Jacob, Prince Pathreck, Prince Anthon and Prince Aedric.

“Senior Quetro Ms. El’Pronto is here.” The palace guard informed. I shifted turned my back at the door and I saw Jeanna’s worried face. I’m here at the ward of the palace where Hera is. She’s already unconscious for almost a week and there are just palace guards outside in case of sudden attacks.

“Is Hera ok? What happened to her?” Jeanna’s voice is full of concerns. We all know that Jeanna and Hera were close since young that’s why she is like that. She’s squeezing Hera’s hands gently as she wipes her tears too. It’s already six days and still she’s unconscious.

“By the way, where are Patricia and the others?” Jeanna asked as she sat beside Hera.

“I’ve already sent them the message that we need to talk about the prophecy since the descendants are already in earth looking for their brides.” Jeanna looked at me in shock. Did Prince Jacob left without telling her mother?

“What! They’ve travelled to earth?” she even stood up from disbelief. “This is a mess. They must stay close since earth is a weak planet that dark dimensions can penetrate freely.”

“I-Is that what the prophecy says? Then we should warn them.” I didn’t also agree for that decision but I already know it after they left a day ago.

“It’s too late. Just pray that they must be stay together to protect each other. Descendant of Dusk is coming.”
