Chapter 13 - Dusk's Descendant

(Diana’s POV)

As the game between Daniel and Kin ended, obviously Kin was the winner, I don’t know if I will be disappointed seeing Daniel lost the fight with all those bruises or be grateful that Kin won the fight.

I thought Daniel doesn’t know anything about taekwondo but it turns out that he also has the skills base on what we saw earlier. “Hey, why did you take that seriously? You could have just taken the fight easily knowing that your partner is a nerd, idiot.” Kin looked at me with dark eyes, ready for ay rumbling rants.

“Are you concerned with him? But not with me?” I faced him raising my right eyebrow. What’s but not with me? He almost killed Brandon that time at the cafeteria and still he’s expecting me to be concern to him? How dumb he is, huh.

“Screw it. Can’t you remember what have you done to Brandon last time, huh?” I paused for a moment seeing him raising his eyebrows. Dumbass’s charisma.

“And now, you’re saying that I must be concern to you? Can you hear yourself Kin?” His face darkens and he’s clenching his fists, obviously pissed off by what I have said. It’s fun to tease him though.

“You’re making me trigger wife.” I unconsciously face him with a startled face hearing him whispering those words to me. I saw how he hid his smirk and laughter behind his kissable lips making me forget that I was startled by what he has said. Damn me! Am I really pissed or what!

“Next will be…Andrea Gallante and Diana Weilfore Equixe.” I froze for the second time as I heard who will be my partner for the game. I feel nervous thinking that it was Andrea whom I will be fighting with but at the same time I feel excited. Excited to wreck the face of this bitch!

“Be careful.” Kin reached for y hands to make me calm before I went to the center of the gymnasium where my professor awaits. I saw how Andrea evilly smiled as he watches me suiting up my gear. She really thinks that I will give up with that, huh.

Both of us went in the center part of the mat before Mr. Hernandez initiated the game. As Mr. Hernandez shouted the word ‘start’ I immediately felt pain in my stomach as Andrea quickly dashed at me and gave me a knee kick. Fuck! This bitch is fast and agile!

She was about to throw a kick again but my reflexes become active and dodge that attack. I spin towards her and release a right kick aiming to her thighs. She was pushed back holding her thigh, obviously because of the pain that I caused.

Her face burns up and her eyes are focused on me. “You don’t deserve him Diana. You’re not for Kin.” She fired multiple punches on me which I manage to block those only is that, I am slowly pushed back. “You need to stay on the mat. Once you’re out of the mat there’s a punishment.” Mr. Fernandez announces which made me more pissed off. Why did he say that just now?!

“Hear that? Punishment, here we come.” She continued his continuous attack and I have no choice but to step back every time she punches. I looked at my back and I am already reaching the end of the mat. Shit! I need to get out of here. “You never deserve to win Diana.” She uttered with her smirk and that was the words that made me really pissed. How dare she decide who will win?

I gave her my evilest smile and she look at me in confusion. I catch his right arm and twist it which made her groan in sudden pain. I quickly went to her back and as we switched positions, I gave her my strongest push with my foot and she was pushed forward to get out on the mat.

Go Diana!!

Cheers of the other students suddenly went on fire and I was motivated with that.

Andrea’s reaction is priceless as if she saw a ghost of herself. Did she really think that I will be the one to be defeated here? “I don’t deserve?” I continued pissing her off to see how she will react to that.

“Ms. Gallante.” Both of us glanced at Mr. Fernandez. “Your punishment will be no wearing of the gear. Strip that already and go back to the fight.” Andrea didn’t complain about her punishment. She’s really confident about herself, huh? She’s not even afraid or tensed with what’s happening.

“Let’s do it again. Fight!” I shifted my gaze to Mr. Fernandez giving him a ridiculous look. What are we here? Chickens?

“You’ll never get a chance again.” She ran towards my direction and I suddenly remember the movie kung fu yoga. Some moves there are cool. Let’s see.

I positioned myself in the most comfortable way and stretched my arms as wide as I can. She’s not that near to me when I started running towards her too.

As I already build my momentum, I immediately raised my hands, ready to do a tumbling. Andrea crashed at the mat as her head felt the fury of my feet. I jumped back getting away from her and waited for her to stand up.

She slowly support herself using her hands and stood up with a gloomy face. Did I piss her off? Probably.

She suddenly ran again towards me like nothing happened to her. She releases a full force kick which made me step back. Not a moment, I also felt the pain in my face and the vibration in my head as I receive her punch.

“Take that bitch!” I tried to punch her too but she’s too fast already. She caught my hands and twists it making me groan in terrible pain. She’s not contented with that as she kicks my stomach and I ended up falling in the mat. I can’t do this anymore. But am I going to surrender like this?

“Andrea, take it easy.” I glanced at Daniel who’s looking at me…concerned. Why though?

“Not your business Fourge.” She was about to kick me again in my stomach but I forced myself to roll over and kick her sensitive part. She held her precious gem as the pain inflicted on it. Of course I did that with exact same force as she did in my stomach.

“I’m not a bitch, moron, you are.” I didn’t let her make any move and fired my punches. In result, she’s holding both of her sensitive part and her stomach. I positioned myself to do a spinning kick aiming to her face.

She fell on the mat with some bruises on her face. I unconsciously covered my mouth in shock as I saw blood dripping down on her lips. Holyshit! Did I overdo my kick?

“Timeout…we have already the winner.” Mr. Fernandez interrupted. Andrea is still in fetus position while holding both her stomach and sensitive area.

“Winner, Ms. Equixe.” The same as the others, Mr. Fernandez raised my hand with a grin on his face. Somehow I am not happy of the result of my own fight.

First of all, the situation is already unfair since she has no gear. I know deep inside in myself that I have my personal problems and issues regarding Andrea but I still regret what happened.

I put my gear back at the table before heading towards or seat. Andrea was brought to the clinic where other injured students are too.

“BES! OMG! You didn’t tell me that your skills are still there.” Auzia giggled while hugging me. Squeezing me rather.

“Yeah, Auzia’s right, Diana. You’re also one of a kind.” Lucy also commented about my performance giving me thumbs up.

“You’re great with that Diana. I didn’t expect it.” I look back at Jacob and he just smiled at me. I did the same and sat on my seat trying to calm myself and bring down my adrenalin rush.

“You’re getting cooler day by day wife.” Kin whispered at me which made me rolled my eyes 360 degrees.

“Just tell me if you felt flattered with my performance. I would gladly accept that as one of your lame reasons.” I showed him my proud smirk. He’s starting to me nosy now…but in a good way too.

“I am.” Slowly glancing at him with my shock face, I scanned his reaction and he’s telling the truth. He confessed to me?

“Whatever.” That’s the only thing that comes out on my mouth. He really knows my weaknesses and how to make me shut up. I heard him chuckled with it and I inhaled a large amount of air trying to avoid bickering again with him.

(Third Person POV)

Almost all of the freshmen are already done with taekwondo. Only few left and those are somewhat recognizable in Diana’s eyes.

Auzia, a while ago, almost get crazy as she won the fight between her and Lucy’s classmate. Until now, her smile never left her face. It’s starting to get creepy now.

“Last but not the least, Dew Aedric Con Renoe and…uhm…” Their teacher narrowed his sight as he couldn’t read the contestant’s name properly. “Stygian Vlankris Vogue.” The five descendants of Threa looked at each other trying to digest what they have heard.

“Dew are you sure about this?” Clay asked out of his concern. Dew just gave him a small nod before going to the center of the gym. They both wear their gears and readied themselves.

“Start!” their teacher initiated. None of the two moved as their teacher initiated the start of the game. They both scanned each other and planned carefully their own strategies and attacks.

They just encircled the mat while looking at each other. But in the end, Dew was the first one to start the fight. Stygian didn’t bother to step back even Dew’s attacks are already enormously strong.

Dew found a spot to divert the attention of Stygian. He releases a mock kick which Stygian bite the bait. Dew on the other hand composed himself directly punches Stygian on the mouth.

Stygian finally step back with blood on his lips. “You are quite strong huh.” Stygian uttered before firing some forceful punches to Dew.

The latter manage to block those attacks but he only fell down when Stygian kicked him on his chest. Dew spits some blood and his throat is not feeling well.

“Mr. Con Renoe, are you alright?” Mr. Fernandez asked without using his mind. Dew didn’t pay attention to his teacher and get up.

Pain, anger and annoyance are visible on Dew’s facial expression. He didn’t waste his time and started again the fight. Stygian on the other hand has no choice but to cover and block all the attack of his partner. Dew was just recklessly punching and didn’t see Stygian’s knee aiming to his stomach.

He fell again on the mat but still conscious.

Dew, get out of there. Give up now!

Dew knew that it was Jacob’s warning but he didn’t listen to that. “Nice spirit. I want it.” Grinning evilly, Stygian continued the fight.

Dew closed his eyes for unknown reasons. As Stygian aimed his punch to Dew’s face, the latter let himself fall n the mat causing Stygian to punch nothing but air.

As Dew laid on the math, he immediately kick Stygian’s chest and the latter was pushed back. “That’s the spirit.” Stygian also spits blood but not much compared to Dew’s

Dew was about to continue his fight but he suddenly fell down and lost his consciousness. Almost all of the students in the gym froze as they saw how intense the fight was.

Both of the contenders fell down but their teacher declared Stygian as the winner since he had not lost his consciousness.

“DEW!” the four descendants who was sitting and watching a while ago ran towards Dew’s place. While Stygian, he was accompanied by Clifford and Kier.

“You need to get your prize from me Stygian. You need to.” Kin lost his sane while deadly looking at Dew’s enemy. Jacob on the other hand was just pulling Kin’s hands to prevent him from causing any unpleasant situation.

“Kin this is not the right time to be angry. We need to bring Dew home.” Kin stopped from what he is planning but his stares never left.

“Clay we need to stay here. We need to protect the three.” Kin stated in monotonic tone with a sound of anger.

“You three, make sure nothing bad will happen to him.” Kin added before going back to where their brides sit. Jacob and Flicke hurriedly looked for a hidden and safe place for Flicke to conjure a portal heading to their house.

(Stygian’s POV)

I didn’t expect that kind of battle with the descendant of my brother Vins. He’s the weakest among us brothers when we we’re kids. How come he has that kind of descendant?

“My King, what are your orders right now?” I’m still holding back my anger with these fucking assholes. I’ve already gave them my powers and yet they’re still weak as shit!

“Get out of my sight before you’ll be toasted.” They bowed before they leave me here in my throne. After that nonsense taekwondo fight, I came here at my palace to calm myself. I don’t want to ruin my plan because of that scumbag Kin. He’s really pissing me. Until here? He’s still my hindrance.

“ARGHHHHH!” Until here, brother? Your descendant is still my problem. I thought it ended with you? Aren’t you happy that you’ve already killed the only woman I love? Fuck you Kenis. I’m still not considering you as my brother after what you have done to my woman, My Dawn.

---//Flashback //---

“Kenis come on. Why can’t you just love me back?” my heart stopped beating when I heard her pleading for someone’s love when she doesn’t even deserve it.

“Dawn you know that we’re half sisters. The blood that runs on your veins is the same with mine.” Kenis uttered coldly without looking at Dawn. I felt the overflowing anger inside of me but I have no courage to enter their problem. I’m hurting when I saw Dawn crying every night at her room uttering the same fucking name. KIN

“I don’t care Kenis. We are gods and we don’t need to obey that stupid fucking law.” Her voice cracked as her tears falls down. I’m just pulling back myself from showing myself to them. I’m still hiding here like a coward outside of the window of this room. My tears also start to fall.

“Please Kenis I’m begging you. Love me back.” My tears already flowed endlessly. That sentence of her is like a bullet on my heart. It makes my heart numb.

“I can’t. I really can’t Dawn I’m so sorry.” I heard a slam of the door. I think Kenis already left her there. I tried to sneak a peek and I saw Dawn holding a dagger and she’s…shit! I didn’t hesitate to enter the room and confusion starts to show on her expression.

“Dawn stop that.” I was stunned when she slit her arms in front of me.

“You know this Dusk? This?” she pointed the blood that’s freely coming out on her wound. “I hate this blood. I fucking hate it.” She’s fuming with anger and at the same time disappointment. I also admit that I hate that blood. That’s also the reason why I can’t tell her my feelings for her since I’m his half brother too.

“Dawn this is not the right way. You can still plead him.” That sentence of mine is like a thunder strike on my heart. How could I give up on her? Damn it!

“No Dusk there’s no way for me to be loved by him. I know he loved someone from the world that we created.” An idea suddenly came to mind. I looked at her and yes, she wants to get her revenge with a mere creature.

“Dawn not that. You know that’s the sacred law. We must never hurt our creations.” He looked at me as if I said something wrong.

“Fuck that law. I’m doing it.” She was about to leave but she suddenly fell.

A week after that confrontation, we came back to the main world we created. The Threa.

Kenis is still wearing his stolid face while Dawn is emotionless. I’m just following them together with Photon, Forth and Flash. “We’re here right now to build the last part of this world. We need to build a barrier that will protect them from anyone.” Kenis explains but Dawn just rolled her eyes.

“Photon you first. Build some static light.” Kenis ordered him and Photon followed him without any questions. Just in a minute, we’ve already finish the skeletal of the barrier but I felt something’s missing.

“Where’s Dawn?” Vins asked and my mind starts to think what she has said to me that night.

“Brother Kenis. S-she’s…she’s after the human that you loved.” I blurted out. Kenis suddenly fly heading towards the direction where Dawns is. We immediately follow him and we are all in shocked when we saw Dawn pointing a dagger to a human girl.

“STOP!!!” Kenis’ voice echoed like a thunder around the area.

“K-Kenis?” she looked at us and she stopped her gaze to Kenis. “It’s her right?” she laughed sarcastically and in just a second, Dawn starts to float in the air.

“Brother, stop it. She’s our sister.” Flash is trying to stop him but Kenis is a hard headed God.

“She never knew her lessons.” He stopped lifting Dawn but she’s still locked in his powers.

“Yes. And I will never learn my lesson.” All of us looked at her confusingly. A Goddess of Death is acting immaturely.

“Then I’ll make you one.” Kenis

“Brother, don’t.” Photon tried to stop him but it didn’t work.

“From now on, you’re already forbidden to enter the realm of the Gods…” Kenis.

“Kenis!” Forth shouted.

“Shut up if you don’t want to accompany her.” Kenis threaten him and Forth doesn’t have any idea what to do.

“And you are no longer welcome to Threa. You’ll be locked up in a place where no one knows its location and…you are no longer our sister.” That sentence of Kenis was like a lightning to us. Dawn starts to disperse and I was too late to save her from her death.

I tried to remain hard and emotionless. I don’t want to look weak here. I’m already longing for how many centuries because of that incident and now I need to stop it. It won’t help me now. I need to revenge for Dawn.

Now I have the connection with their descendants, it’s easy for me to eliminate them including their bride. They’ve already took away mine. It’s time for me to take away what’s theirs.
