Chapter 30 - Before the start of The Academy I

In Fang Yuan's room.

After he had had his fun with the four women he sent them off. Shen Cui came up a while later to deliver his breakfast to him, as he had requested it eat it in his room. When he was alone in his room again he moved a piece of furniture to cover up the hole which he had discovered in the wall which was facing his bed.

After that was taken care of he sat on his bed and let out a sigh. Because he learned that…

'Just because I had inherited Fang Yuan's memories and read the novel doesn't make me special.'

The reason this thought crossed his mind was because of his recent actions.

'Faced with temptation I couldn't hold myself back and ended up having sex with both Shen Cui and Jun'er.'

'This isn't a good sign, it was a good thing that I had Invoke Lust Gu as such Shen Cui submitted herself to me last night. If by any chance she was here to frame me last night then I would have been done for, as I am not quite sure if I would have been able to hold myself back. After all, I only have Fang Yuan's five hundred years' worth of memories and not his experiences and five hundred years' worth of feelings. As I had already deduced the reason in the novel Fang Yuan was able to remain calm when faced with most scenario's was because of his experience, while I only got his memories, I haven't lived through those five hundred yerars and as such, I haven't developed a personality which would allow me to remain unfazed no mater what situation I am in.'

As soon as he thought through the things he did since his arrival in this world he realized just how much in over his head he was.

'This not good. This is pathetic. I let myself get influenced by that insignificant Shen Cui and those three servants. I need to be able to better control my emotions and thoughts. In the case of Shen Cui and those three servants, it was fine. Well in Shen Cui's case it was not fine the only reason I got through it was because of the Invoke Lust Gu which I got from the system, otherwise, if it was a trap set up by Uncle and Aunt I would have been kicked out of the house by now and roaming on the streets, thankfully it wasn't something like that but who knows why she visited me last night. The main thing is that in these situations it was not that big a deal. But if I allowed my emotions to take a free ride over my thoughts like this every time, then going forward in the future I will get myself into serious trouble. After all what if I allowed my emotions to dictate my thought during the midst of a battle? And what if the opponent that I face happens to be a wisdom path, Gu Master? In that case, my opponent will be able to screw me over six ways from Sundays.'

When he thought about going up against a wisdom path Gu Master with his out-of-control emotions his hands and feet went cold. After all the three main elements of the wisdom path were thoughts, will, and emotions. An expert wisdom path Gu Master would be able to easily exploit his unstable emotions. This was not his previous world, this was not like him making a mistake in his work or his studies, in these cases the worst that could happen to him was getting fired or failing the exam, he would always have a second chance. But here if he gave his opponent an opening during a battle then in the best-case scenario he would lose an arm or a leg and in the worst-case scenario, he would either be captured or killed. When these thoughts crossed his mind a chill went up to his spine and his mind immediately cleared up.

'Once the academy starts I need to move into the academy dormitories as soon as possible. There will be fewer distractions in the academy and also I will be much safer in the academy than I am here.' When he thought about this Fang Yuan looked up and eyed the wall in front of him. 'Because unlike this little shit, who simply punctured a hole in the wall to spy on me, if Aunt and Uncle decided to spy on me, I won't be able to do anything about it, heck I may not even realize that I am being spied on after all Uncle is a rank two peak stage Gu master. I have too many secrets on me and the only way to not alert the others is to get a place of my own.'

Even though Fang Yuan had the Gu System it didn't mean that he could simply whip out a counter Gu for every situation that he faced. First getting a Gu from the Gu system was not free it needed money. And even if he had the money to buy the counter Gu he first needed to be able to understand what Gu was used on or against him only then could he counter it. As such he was not foolish to think that he could take on anyone and everyone in the world just because he happened to have a super useful system especially not in his current state where he had just opened his aperture.

In the novel it only mentioned the important events, it didn't give out every single detail, it didn't mention what Fang Yuan or his Uncle and Aunt did every single day. As such it would be good to move into the academy dormitories as soon as possible, as over there he would be safer than he was here and he would also be able to act as freely as he wished.
