No, None, Nothing

Another summer weekend has passed, the sixth one that year. That sunday morning, at the top of one of those branches in the same old rose apple tree, I sat and ate some raw rose apples, checking its ripeness. Some were nearly ripe, others were way too raw. As soon as I went down the tree, Julianna called my name from the house. I went inside, and came to her in my room since she was cleaning it. She said, "Dear brother, your phone was ringing, and someone named 'May' called. She asked if you're available this evening, and message her if you are.". "Nah, I can't message her. I will just visit her later.", I replied. Later that night, when I was about to leave the house, Julianna said, "Will you eat dinner here, my dear brother?". I nodded my head and went to May's house in the city.

When I arrived at the front gate and was about to ring the doorbell, May met me while carrying some groceries outside. I offered her help, and we both went inside.

After I placed the bags, I asked, "Why you called? I hope it's not because you need help shopping.".

She laughed and said, "No, you dummy. I just called since it's been so long since you visited here.".

Later she cooked dinner, and when she called me to join her, I simply denied her, and she pouted. "Oh yeah, someone named 'Julianna' answered my call and called you 'dear'. Who is she, your lover?" I laughed and said, "Nothing, she's just my stepsis. Well, she does call me 'dear brother', but when people asked, she makes fun of them.". I saw a sign of relief and anger at her face, and I poke her cheeks and said, "You jealous.". She quickly reacted, "No, it's not like that, you dummy!".

I laughed at her while she was pouting. I replied, "Now, now. Your dinner's getting cold. Hurry so we can talk about your problems.". There was silence that moment, and she quietly finished her dinner.

She asked, "Why do you know so much about me, you dummy geek?". I pinched her cheeks and said, "Because you're too honest, dummy.". She signed and said, "Well, recently I haven't been enjoying my life. So many paths to choose but I picked none. What should I do?". I replied, "It's your life, not mine. Just remember that life is a game. You play your cards, and Fate will play hers.".

She laughed and said, "Bet you got that from a video game, huh?". I replied back, while pinching her cheeks, "Well, I did. But just because I'm a geeky gamer doesn't mean all my words of wisdom came from those games.". We both laughed, and at the same time the alarm from the watch I wore rang. I quickly rushed outside her house, before that I kissed her goodbye in the cheek. When I was outside, I yelled, "No hard feelings!". And she shouted back,

"And no feelings attached!".
