Chapter 9 New Appearance

Adrosiean spread his senses and activated several detection skills around the area. He found traces of teleportation but he could not determine where the teleportation had led to.

"If I arrived just a little bit sooner, I could have captured these rats. What a pity."

Adrosiean shook his head in resignation. If they tried to teleport right in front of him, he could easily block their teleportation using the gem of eternal darkness.

Control skills are very effective at these kinds of blocking and disturbing the enemy movements.

"It doesn't matter. I will make sure to capture them if they come again. But this is really intriguing. It's not even been a day since I got summoned here yet some people are already wanting to monitor my movements."

Adrosiean said with an excited grin. He enjoys challenges. He is not someone who easily satisfied with a simple life. He never wanted to live a boring life.

Adrosiean believes harsh challenges could make him stronger. In the game, Adrosiean sometimes purposely participated in unfavorable battles for fun or to train his gaming skills.

"Is there something matters my lord?"

Rexhell walked up to Adrosiean and carefully asked. He was startled when Adrosiean suddenly spread his wings and flew out without saying anything.

Seeing the giant crater in front of him that Adrosiean had created, Rexhell was terrified. He knew that something had happened.

"It's just some bugs. No need to worry about."

Adrosiean gave a casual reply. Seeing Adrosiean had no intention of explaining, Rexhell simply bowed obediently and did not ask anymore.

He knew he was just a lowly servant of a demon lord and he did not wish to cross the line. He was clear of his limits.

"Before entering the Crenoth kingdom, I should change my appearance first. This appearance had been seen by those rats. Well I was gonna change my appearance in the first place."

Adrosiean did not fear these mysterious people who seemed to be watching him. But he did want to fight them yet. The enemy was in the dark while he was in the open.

It would be a hassle if these rats constantly annoy him when he was dealing with other things. Adrosiean currently did not have any proper information and he intended to establish his base before anything.

"These guys know I was summoned here, meaning they are quite powerful. Are they individuals or an organization? I have no idea. But it's not that much a problem."

Adrosiean willed. The mask of deception appeared again on his face. Adrosiean imagined an appearance in his mind.

The darkness came out from the mask and covered his body again to transform him. After a while, the darkness retracted back to the mask, leaving a new appearance.

This time Adrosiean had a charismatic handsome face with a well built muscular body. He has a sharp confident gaze in his eyes. This is the appearance of a famous model in his previous life.

Adrosiean casually took out a sword from his inventory. He looked at his new appearance with the reflection from the sword.

"Hmm. Not bad. This is a good appearance."

Adrosiean felt a little bad to use another person's appearance. But no one would know that anyway.

"It doesn't matter. Hehe."

Adrosiean chuckled evilly. He activated the gem of eternal darkness. A thin veil of darkness covered his body.

Adrosiean willed. After a second, the veil became invisible. This was just an assurance. This dark veil made the disguise harder to detect.

Adrosiean was not certain that his mask of deception could trick the stalkers from before. It is just a legendary grade item and legendary grades were rare but not unobtainable. Many players had at least one legendary grade item.

Adrosiean had guessed that those people might also have legendary grade items and prepared for the worst. After all, they instantly stalked him just after some time he appeared.

Thus, Adrosiean used the power of the gem of eternal darkness to make his disguise more powerful and undetectable. Unless the other party possess a mythical grade item like him, they won't be able to see through his disguise.

Adrosiean put back the sword into his inventory and asked Rexhell for some clothes.

Adrosiean's body was already covered in an invisible Primordial Black Dragon Scale Armor which currently concealed.

The dragon scale armor as well as his other equipments were too eye catching. Thus, Adrosiean concealed the appearances of all his eight equipments not to attract attention.

Adrosiean did not have any normal clothes in his inventory. He only had armors and even the robes are not normal. They are all equipment grade items that were enchanted. Adrosiean would stand out too much among the crowd.

Rexhell obeyed and hurriedly took out a set of clothes and gave them to Adrosiean. Adrosiean's eyes slightly narrowed. The clothes were a little too luxurious and adorned with some jewels.

"Did these guys get this from some nobles or wealthy merchants that they robbed?"

Adrosiean's eyes twitched uncontrollably. But he did not complain and dressed up. Although these were a little flashy, it was still acceptable compared to his items.

With new appearance and clothes, Adrosiean looked more like a young master of some noble house.

"How manly. This is the body I always wanted in my past life."

Adrosiean said in satisfaction. He could not help but glee inwardly.

"Let's get going. It's already sunrise and the explosion I made earlier will attract many people here."

Adrosiean said to Rexhell and walked back to the Crenoth kingdom's border gate.

He had no choice. Because this was the fastest way to capture the rats who were stalking him, although he did not manage to even see their faces in the end.

Rexhell nodded and led Adrosiean back to the border gate of Crenoth kingdom. The road to the gate is already filled with many merchants and travelers.

On the way, Adrosiean saw a group of soldiers that seem to be the border guards from Crenoth kingdom as well as some curious people rushing up to the giant crater to investigate.

The security of the border was not tight since the two kingdoms were in friendly relationship. But because of the explosion Adrosiean had caused earlier, the security was slightly tighter than usual.

However, since there were some demonic cult members who were also citizens from the Crenoth kingdom, the entrance was smooth. Adrosiean easily entered the Crenoth kingdom without much trouble.

Within the brilliant floating castle of the guardian conclave, there was a lustrous forest in one of the many rooms. The room is wide and several magical creatures roaming around the forest freely.

A beautiful statue stood at the middle of the forest. It is none other than the statue of the moon goddess which illuminating with moonlight. It's moonlight enveloping the whole forest.

A person was silently praying in front of the statue with her eyes shut without any movements.

She is an elegant beauty that even superior than that of the black raven sorceress. Her presence was mysterious and her body seemed to be radiating with a pure sacred aura.

Her long hair luster with moonlight and falling down on her shoulders gracefully. A white robe covered her thin frame and it's fabric flowing around her body elegantly.

She is one of the core members of the guardian conclave simply known as 'Moon Priestess.'

She has the highest authority among the moon goddess religion and has an unique position in the guardians conclave.

At this moment, the eyes of the statue of the moon goddess suddenly illuminated with bright moonlight. Two pillars of light fall down out of nowhere in front of the statue.

The light pillars quickly dispersed, leaving two silhouettes of the beastmaster and the injured black raven sorceress.

The moon priestess stopped praying and slowly opened her blue eyes. Seeing the injured state of the black raven sorceress, she extended her hand.

A wave of moonlight appeared and flows around the black raven sorceress like a gentle calming breeze.

The internal wounds in the body of the panting black raven sorceress slowly healed.

"Thank you priestess."

The black raven sorceress said respectfully. Her eyes were filled with fear.

The moon priestess did not say anything and only nodded with a smile. At this moment, a group of figures entered the room and made their way towards the trio.

"We greet the leader."

Seeing the person at the front, the black raven sorceress and the beastmaster bowed and said in unison. The moon priestess also nodded gently.

"What happened? Why are you injured like this? Did you fought with the descender?"

The leader questioned the black raven sorceress. The black raven sorceress's face was pale but she did not have any visible wounds on her body.

However he could clearly see through that her internal injuries were not small even after the healing of the moon priestess.

"No leader. We did not clash with the descender as per you orders. I only used my familiar raven and observed him from afar. But the descender immediately saw through my ability.

He killed my raven and somehow injured me. Furthermore, he even found out of my location through my connection with the raven and chased me down.

The black raven sorceress's face turned pale and terrified as she speaks. Her eyes were filled with pure horror.
