Chapter 10 Black Raven's Fear

"I still remember vividly how he looked at me through the familiar magic connection. It's like he was directly looking through my soul. I felt like I am nothing more than an insignificant ant in front of him."

Her body was shivering in panic as she opened her trembling lips to speak words after words in fear. Her usual confident demeanor was replaced with terror.

"Leader! We should not provoke this descender. This is a monster. No! A demon god himself! We will never win against someone like him.

His strength is on completely different level than all the descenders we had seen before. We should not provoke him or we will be wiped out!"

The black raven sorceress looked at the leader with her crazed eyes that filled with horror. Her tone clearly showed that how much shock and terror she had suffered.

Her internal wounds were not the worst damage for her. The biggest damage Adrosiean inflicted upon her was the irreversible mental damage.

As the most powerful mythical grade control item, the gem of eternal darkness is extremely powerful at dealing mental damage and debuffs.

"Black Raven, you have to calm down!"

The leader shouted at her and shook her body but the black raven sorceress did not seem to listen to him at all. Her mental wounds from Adrosiean were like a trauma that deeply rooted in her heart.

The black raven sorceress was normally an extremely calm and collective person. She always judged every situations calmly and acted with confidence. She was someone who could be trusted with important tasks.

However the black raven sorceress in front of him was like a completely different person. The guardian conclave leader glanced at the moon priestess.

The moon priestess nodded and chanted. No one understands any of her words but her soft voice was soothing with peacefulness and comfort.

The eyes of the moon goddess statue behind her brightened with moonlight as the moon priestess chant. A gentle moonlight shone onto the black raven sorceress.

The head of the black raven sorceress slowly lifted as she calmed down. There was still traces of fear in her eyes but it was not as bad as before.

"Have you finally calmed down?"

The leader asked as he helped the black raven sorceress stood up.

"Yes. My apologies. I am ashamed to lose my cool like this."

The black raven sorceress said softly. She stood up and apologized to the leader and then thanked the moon priestess for her help.

"What should we do with this descender? I do not recommend fighting him. His strength is like nothing we had seen before. His powers are on a completely different realm from everything we had ever faced."

The black raven sorceress asked with a low voice. There was traces of fear in her words. Although she had calmed down, she still fears Adrosiean deep though her bones.

Her fear for Adrosiean was already rooted deeply in her heart. Furthermore, her meeting with Adrosiean was not even face to face.

Even with just long distance vision of her familiar, her mind was wounded to extreme by Adrosiean. She did not dare to imagine what would happen to her if she has to face him head on.

The leader of the guardian conclave thought deeply for a while.

"Stop all our plans targeting towards this descender and leave him for now."

After some thoughts, he ordered.

"We will have to prepare ourselves and gather our strength. Our duty is to protect this world from the external threats that could destroy our world. We won't back down simply because the enemy is stronger than us!"

The leader continued. His voice echoing across the room.

"Yes, leader."

The surrounding members said in unison. They bowed and paid respect to the leader and the statue of the moon goddess before leaving the room.

"Priestess, please send out a prophecy of a possible rising of the demon lord to the world. The world also need to prepare for the incoming storm."

The guardian leader turned to the moon priestess and said. The priestess nodded and turned to the statue of the moon goddess. She closed her eyes and prayed.

After a while, the statue of the moon goddess emitted strings of moonlight. They ran down from the floating castle like small pillars of light towards the holy temples across the world.

This was the unique ability which spread the prophecy that only the highest ranking priests or priestesses of a god have.

At the border of Crenoth kingdom, Adrosiean casually walked among the crowd. As a border between the two kingdoms, the town was quite prosperous and crowded with merchants.

"This world seem to be at the medieval age but because of the existence of magic, the strength of the people here might be higher than the medieval age from earth."

Adrosiean thought as he walked along the street.

"But the overall strength of the people here is too low compared to the worlds from Rise of the Worlds. Is it just the soldiers from this nation or are all nations this weak?"

Adrosiean was puzzled. The level of soldiers in Crenoth kingdom were too low to the point that they didn't even deserve to be cannon fodder.

"The level of the soldiers of this nation is about the same as the undead soldiers I previously summoned at the Aliridom kingdom's border town cemetery."

The undead soldiers are very cheap. As long as there is enough corpses, with just a lift of the crown of Aryumaya, the dead will rise from their graves in no time.

In the game, Adrosiean did not even use undead soldiers. The lowest tier undeads he had used were undead warriors which is a tier higher than undead soldiers.

He had summoned the undeads soldiers in the cemetery just because he could not find sufficient level corpses.

"If this is the case, maybe I might be able to speed up my plans."

Adrosiean thought. If the strength of this world is too low, he could act more confidently and brute force his plans. But Adrosiean quickly shook his head.

He was currently in a normal standard kingdom. Just because the soldiers of this kingdom were weak does not mean the soldiers from the other nations would be weak too.

"Nevertheless, caution is needed. I don't want to lose this precious life yet."

Adrosiean was uncertain that he would be resurrected just like in the game when he died since he was in real life.

Thus, he did not dare to gamble and lose this new exciting life just because of his arrogance. If this is truly his only life and did not resurrect, he would have died for nothing.

"Rexhell."

Adrosiean turned to the cult leader.

"Is there something the matter, My lord?"

"Are you guys the only demon worshippers in the Crenoth kingdom? Are there are more demon worshippers or demonic cults?"

Adrosiean asked. As a leader of a demonic cult, Rexhell should more or less have some information of other demonic cults.

"As far as we know there are other demonic cults in the Crenoth kingdom. Most of them are small and scattered across the kingdom.

However there is one large demonic cult operating near the royal capital called the 'Crimson Cross.' Their base is in the dense forest near the royal capital.

Because Crimson Cross is hiding deep inside dense forest, as well as the external threats, the Crenoth kingdom couldn't completely annihilate them."

Adrosiean carefully listened to Rexhell's explanation and thought. Rexhell's demonic cult could only be considered a small one that have around twenty members.

The Crimson Cross is currently the biggest demonic cult in the whole kingdom and had at least hundreds of members.

They had been a pest for the Crenoth kingdom for a long time. They were hiding deeply in the deep forest near the capital city and occasionally capturing citizens to use them as sacrifices.

If the Crenoth kingdom really put their mind into clearing them and swept across the whole forest with all their might, they could succeed in uprooting the whole Crimson Cross demon worshippers easily.

However currently the Crenoth kingdom is occupied with the suppressions from the ambitious empire that want to annex their lands and conquer them. Thus, the kingdom had no time to care about some demonic cult that is pestering them.

"My lord, the thing is most of the demonic cults in the Crenoth kingdom are branches of Crimson Cross. It is also the same for our demotic cult."

Rexhell said without hiding anything. He was just a small branch leader from Crimson Cross. His rank was not that high compared to the real core members of Crimson Cross.

However, it was different now. Rexhell's achievement could be considered the top among Crimson Cross if known. He would surpass even the Crimson Cross's leader in terms of contributions.

After all, he had successfully summoned a demon lord to this world which was the main objective of Crimson Cross and demon worshippers.
