While he was walking towards one of the empty houses of the society, Kai clearly heard his voice when Rojas was telling his men to write a letter to the branch of the noble family, but Kai wasn't able to hear his words since he had walked quite far by then.

Some of the men helped the injured guards reach their house, before returning to their own houses.

Once they were inside, Ron helped Emily sit on the bed then he sat in front of her and spoke:

" I don't think that it's over yet, he will definitely be making up more trouble tomorrow and using his son's injuries to do whatever he wants. "

Emily also had a grim expression on her pale face, her brows were creased as she stared fixedly at her hands.

She had clearly seen the look in Rojas's eyes she knew that he was definitely going to target their family soon, but with her weakened body it would be impossible for her to defeat him in a battle, and even if she did manage to defeat him then she wouldn't be able to handle the after effects of the battle.

She didn't speak for a few seconds and went through all kinds of possibilities, then raised her head and just as she was about to speak, she looked around in worry and asked: " W- Where is Leo? Wasn't he just behind me? "

Ron was also shocked when he heard that, and looked around hastily but couldn't find Kai but just as he was about to go out of the room to look for him, Kai's voice came: " I'm here mommy, I just went to pee. "

Both of them sighed in relief and Emily spread both her arms as she spoke: " Come here, baby. " Climbing onto the bed, he hugged his mother and could feel how tense her body was.

He could also guess her thoughts, Rojas would definitely be breaking a few of Ron's limbs tomorrow and he might even kill him, or use them both to blackmail Emily.

' Kai thought and tightly clutched the small pieces of paper in his hand, he had clearly read everything that was written inside it and understood why Rojas acted how he had acted, it also showed how afraid of that branch family Rojas really is.

Emily forced a smile on her face and shook her head while saying: " Nothing, why don't we eat something now? I can hear the sound of thunders from your belly. "

Ron and Emily acted as if nothing was wrong and chatted normally, Ron went to the kitchen and began to prepare the dinner, while Kai sat with his mother as they chatted about different things.

After some time, all three of them lay in their beds, at first Emily couldn't sleep but after a couple of hours, her eyes closed and she had fallen asleep, Kai's massage also helped her relax her body completely.

Kai also lay in bed with his eyes closed, beside Emily, while his senses worked overtime. He could clearly hear many drunk shouts coming from outside, it seemed that those people that came with Rojas had gotten drunk and were roaming over all the houses.

After making sure that Emily wouldn't be waking up any time soon, Kai climbed off the bed and silently walked out of the house, while he was sneaking out he saw that Ron hadn't slept yet and he sat on the bed, his expression still looked solemn, it looked like he was deep in thoughts, and was making some big decisions.

Without alerting him, Kai walked out of the house and peeked at Rojas's men who were running all over the houses, and seemed extremely drunk some of the men even barged into some of the houses and began to beat up the men, while trying to force themselves on the women.

Kai could see that this wasn't the first time, that Rojas and his men were doing something like this, but it seemed that this time they were taking it too far in the Arom village.

Kai looked over all the men and saw that few of the men had already fallen unconscious since they were too drunk, currently, Kai wasn't confident at all that he would be able to kill Rojas, even if it was a sneak attack since Rojas strength was definitely a lot higher than his own.

So he decided to do something that would stop him from harming anyone here any further and might even cause some problems between him and the branch family.
