Demonic Eggs - A Mammoth's faulty evolution!

Synopsis; - It wasn't easy to birth an industrial revolution through a pair of butt-cheeks, it was especially difficult for a 'mammoth man' in pre-medieval times! But... there was a perk to his favour. After a vile mutation and numerous cancers, Gustav could now lay eggs in exchange which advantageously, hatched demons! Putting those various demons and their skillset into use, he had to build himself some prime defenses. Countless civilizations of aliens were after him, and he was yet to determine which one was worth cooperating with; Survival was a manipulative path, but his unique guts were surely prized! Notes; - While you wait for updates, a similar story of mine awaits you. Go read my novel 'I'm a Snake?' right here in the app! - This is my first sci-fi novel, and I will try my best to explain the technology. However, do expect some slight fantasy elements, as I can't narrow everything down haha! They can mine?

Gustav took quite some time to take everything in, and thankfully a few things eventually made sense. He barely understood just how he ended up in this situation, but a fraction of a firm solution made itself clear.

The small brain-computer which had been barged in his bloodstream, slowly encouraged one thing. To build this so-called beacon, the first thing he needed was iron!

It was tricky to understand how such specific thoughts slowly occured, but at least now he built up a goal to follow. Although it was easy to understand what iron was, everything after that point was a baffling blur!

"Hmm... maybe there are some tribes here. I don't have shit to trade, but maybe they'll give me some iron if I work for them?" He muttered, in a half gibberish manner.

As he tried to formulate a proper plan, the six demons which lurked below, suddenly started to repeat a single word.

"Iron! Iron!" They hollered, as their tone reached a higher pitch.

In no time at all, the same creatures dashed towards a seemingly random direction, at speeds which were visually difficult to percept. They moved faster than a mammoth could ever run, and their large claws likely aided such a pace, either way it was abruptive.

Gustav ended up with a couple difficult options. One was to follow these odd creatures, while the other was to let them be. He still had it difficult to accept that they came out of his buttocks, so it sounded like a peaceful idea to abandon them.

Stress however, urged a rapid decision. It took him just a few seconds to initiate a chase, he dashed after the little demons, because they were the only lifeforms he knew in these lands!

"Wait up, y'all are too small to follow!" He shouted out.

If it wasn't for his exceptionally durable stamina, Gustav would've likely struggled to keep up. He thankfully was durable by nature, and that alone helped out even against the environment!

The green field which he ran through, hid tens of thorns within it, but so far that was the only thing which held him back right now. The good man's skin was currently smooth, but not quite as sensitive!

"What the hell?" He eventually had to sigh.

Those one-foot tall animals had seemingly found a small hill, in the midst of these vast fields. Although it wasn't much to look at, it did feature a wide patch of stone!

Now the odd part was that at least half of this abnormal team, had dug their way deep into the same rough surface! If the other half hadn't lurked around that one hole, then Gustav could have easily walked past them.

This scene was insignificant by scale, but yet it proved exceptionally unique!

"Why are you digging a hole? There are lots of better places to poop in, and we have other stuff to do like maybe get some clothes?" He pressured, as if the others understood the world at an equal standard.

Neither of them answered of course, but the situation developed swiftly after. A couple of these creatures exposed their little horns, while they popped out of that foot-long hole. Each of them carried fist sized stones between their jaws, which featured light gray colors.

Another odd thought, slowly implanted itself in Gustav's consciousness in the meantime. As if he was taught on the spot, the good man suddenly understood what these animals had fetched out.

"Hematite?" He mumbled.

Although gradually, he did understand that these good friends had brought iron out of that recently dug hole. It was convenient as a start, but it also felt extraordinary for him, to specifically understand what type of raw iron this was!

That was surprising alone, but by now he had to ask. "So you little fuckers know how to find iron ha? Hmm... now I kinda understand why aliens want to take my guts out."

Similar to some babbling kids, the rest of these furry animals repeated that one prime word, iron. The thought alone perhaps got them excited, as now the rest of them began to dig out yet another hole, and their intent was predictable.

Within just a few minutes, Gustav could count exactly twenty whole ores! They were fetched out by the rest of the team, and were of the exact same type, hematite.

"Take it easy, I can't heal you for shit if those claws of yours get hurt." He spoke out, right near one of these holes.

It wasn't that he cared too much, but this fine mammoth wasn't a stranger to pain, he had suffered for months before! The team's condition wasn't so favorable now either, as they could only abandon anyone who got hurt out here.

Such a gesture was overly cruel, and he aimed to avoid it. Yet it didn't seem like they heeded Gustav's recommendations!

In an efficient and rapid manner, these big-clawed demons shot out one ore after the other. It took no time whatsoever for them to bring fifty, decent chunks out of those holes!

Their ability was difficult to comprehend, especially since he barely had any sources of information at hand. Now regardless of that, he knew when it was time to stop.

He leaned towards the holes across the stone, and commanded. "Okay that's enough for now! I don't even know what to do with all this iron yet, you smartass delinquents."

Although their smirks alone helped confirm their devil-like nature, these creatures did actually know how to follow commands. Each of them popped out of the couple of holes right away, and chances were that they even left a few ores behind, just to rush towards their father!

A smile finally spread across Gustav's face, as these creatures seemed a lot less scarier now. Their orderly fashion was satisfying enough, so it proved impossible to hate them.

For the same matter, he could express himself quite freely now. "Good... I don't know what the hell you did down there, but this iron should help us a lot. Now we just gotta take it with us huh?"

Through a little ray of contemplation, he figured that the easiest way to drag a firm eighty-pounds of ores around, was to use that container which they had crash-landed with. It was about fifty meters away, so it shouldn't be tiresome to reach it.

"That should work," He thought.

Gustav barely knew what to use these raw materials for, he just knew that it was the starting mineral which the beacon required.

It was convenient to get a decent amount so fast, but everything after this point was a waiting game. New and informative thoughts should eventually occur, he just had to be patient for this matter!

There was another issue at hand, however. Although he was a large mammoth, the good man wasn't brutal by nature. He had a hunch that these demons were exhausted already, so he grew worried about them.

"I'm gonna carry you folks, hop on my back!" He firmly encouraged.

Gustav had enough reasons to be compassionate, as even though these creatures were efficient, it was difficult to ignore that they just were a bunch of babies, most likely! Each of them was just one foot tall, and half of their behavior could be labeled as child-like.

As they clawed up his naked, smooth skin, the good man jokingly grunted. "Arg, that sparks!"

He wanted these big-clawed demons to be comfortable, and they seemingly appreciated the gesture too, as they gradually used their paws less! Anyway with that idle pace, they walked towards the escape pod which had brought them here.

After a simple nod, the rest of the team was quick to jump inside it, they had quite some room to move around as well. Anyway after a single try, Gustav realized that this circle-shaped pod was too heavy to carry, as it weighed at least a hundred kilos, regardless of how small and compact it seemed.

For that matter, he decided to rely on a more powerful form. "Time to shape-shift then, one of those stick-asses said that I'm healed now, so... it shouldn't hurt, hopefully. I don't have any clothes either, so some fur should help!"

Mining and crafting will be a considerable aspect of this novel, simply because of its creative purposes.

When I thought of a plot like this, crafting and mining alone seemed boring to read about. Let's see how it will play out when efficient, but destructive demons are mixed with this idea!
