Chapter 5 : Su Chen and Ling Yun

Entering the hall in the crown prince palace, There are several luxurious and heavy chandeliers hanging down from the ceiling. The material used is not anything random but Profound alloy capable of boosting the cultivation effect . The floor too is made of rare divine stones that can cool down one's mind and soul. The walls have portrayed the past generation of crown princes including his own father .

This hall is the current office/court for the Crown prince to practice executing the official duties before taking over the throne as the next ruler . Tasks like intelligence gathering & issuing decree are all done here .

In the hall several figures in black and white robes kneeled in response to Su Yang's arrival . Though everybody wears the same clothing, Su Yang knows they are actually two groups of different people . One is the guards and servants of the crown prince of the Northen region while the second is the protector of the Long Imperial family's descendants.

If it came to the matter of the trusts then , Su Yang is more willing to rely on the lesser people group belonging to the protector squad instead of all people he can command over in the Su Family Land .

The reason is very simple , despite being the son of the Northern Emperor Su Hao, he is still a person with foreign blood in his veins. It doesn't matter how talented or support he currently holds , even with the backing of the Emperor himself, there are a lot of people with dissatisfaction regarding him. There are several well wishers who are more eager for him to die than his still non-existent enemies.

It's just that the current generation doesn't have any worthy descendants beside him , even the veins in the branch and relative families have died out with proper potential Emperor level blood . Leaving them no choice but to accept his existence while suppressing the hatred in their heart.

Soon the hall was emptied out of all the guards and servants with no one but a servant named Wang Wu wearing all black robes and a sword tied on his back .

In his impression, This man named Wang Wu has been with him ever since he remembered. Pondering for a little while he concluded him as one of the most loyal servants his mother brought up with her after marriage, who bears the responsibility of upbringing the Long family's main bloodline heirs .

Even his loyalty to Su Yang is unquestionable to the point that he is without even an ounce of negative thoughts regarding him. Such a blind faith in him is the only reason why he could stand different from the crowd in front of the crown prince who doesn't bother to recognise much in this world other than the cultivation .

Soon Wang Wu kneeled in front of his master reporting in a respectful tone " Greeting to your highness , The current affairs except the matter of Su Chen has all been dealt with by me. You don't need to worry about it "

Listening to Wang Wu's words , Su Yang felt a little satisfied in his heart . After all, the reason why he can run back to cultivation lands so freely is only because this person has solved all the problems he has even before need to worry about them. But hearing the name Su Chen , he felt a little puzzled .

Regarding the man named Su Chen , he too knows a little ,One of the only two male heirs of the Imperial Su Family. The eldest son of the Emperor Su Hao and the half brother of Su Yang . Su Chen is two years older than him and is born by one of the concubines in the Royal harem . Though he is said to be the son of the Emperor but he doesn't even receive the basic treatment a royal should have . Because since birth he was discovered to have a waste body with a very low scope in the cultivation. Even the achievements in the same ranks are extremely poor with no real fighting prowess.

Making the current Emperor a joke in the entire Human realm. The Emperor too in rage , deprived him of his right to inherit the position of the next Emperor and secluded him to a random corner of the palace with some basic allowance a month.

Though Su Yang knows about this elder sibling , he never bothered to approach. For him who is blessed with cultivation talent and superior physique why should he waste his time with a crippled person. The same time spent on him can at least let him earn a further achievement in his own practice .

However, Su Yang is not bothering him it is different from his mother and her factions stay silent . Because Other than Su Yang , Su Chen is the only one who has actual rights to inherit the throne in an unexpected situation, they don't want to take a risk regarding it and will suppress him wherever possible. So under the unfair treatment by his own father and constant bullying of everyone around him , Su Chen ended up with a miserable childhood . Thinking of this Su Yang also felt a little guilty in his heart , he should have at least tried to speak to this brother , to ease the pain. It might have given him a good childhood and he , himself might have gotten the support behind him, if any.

" What's the problem that my brother may have caused that even if you are incapable of solving it after so long ??" Su Yang asked in puzzlement, what could make people like Wang Wu with a Cultivation base of Nihility make helpless to deal with a waste person. It's not like Wang Wu hasn't done anything mean to him in the past and even the Emperor didn't bother to punish him.

" The problem is not Su Chen but the Ling Family behind him. A few days ago , they organised an alchemy competition for the juniors under the age of twenty five , which for some reason he seems to have taken a part into and somehow ended up winning . The cause is still unknown... " Wang Wu spoke feeling bewildered from the intel he received from the subordinate he has dispatched for monitoring Su Chen's every move. At first , he thought it was some random nonsense they were spreading but when the Ling family themselves gave an affirmation, he too was greatly shocked .

" What else ??" Su Yang asked feeling the root of the problem is not the winning alchemy competition but something else.

" That , 'Prince' Su Chen is with Lady Ling Yun these days . There are even reports of them being spotted together exploring some secret realms for the past half month. with no current signs of returning before your birthday celebration at night " Wang Wu said with hesitation. Not knowing what kind of reaction Su Yang will give after listening to his 'fiance' is still busy exploring the unknown with his own brother . Will it be anger ?? Pain ?? or like always indifference ??

Listening to the main cause of the problem, Su Yang froze at the original place . The problematic thing is not his brother but Ling Yun walking with him . The identity of whom is extremely noble , the cherished daughter of the contemporary head of the Ling family and the niece of the Royal Concubine Ling Xue . Her father is both brother-in-law with the Emperor and best friends since childhood.

Making it extremely difficult to deal with a person under their family's wings . It's not that they can't move Su Chen under their watch but it will be clearly hitting the Ling family on the face when a 'foreign party' tries to manage their affairs .

So, they chose to restrain themselves before the prey ran back to hell by himself. But What Su Yang doesn't understand is why Ling Family's main line daughter would travel with Su Chen who is clearly a waste . Is there some kind of untold story behind it or they have changed the person they want to support as Ling Yun is his fiancee and travelling with Su Chen is hinting their relationship is unusual to the point she would dare to miss her future husband's birthday.

He can't even imagine how a person despite having Emperor Su Hao's blood flowing in the veins looks so mediocre yet he managed to Ling Yun , who is although not beautiful to the level his own mother but rumors about her cold YIN physique and her charming eyes aren't few.

Thinking the woman belonging to him if is played by his half siblings, the previous feelings of guilt all vanished by in an instant. Even the anger on his face become unconcealed making the Wang Wu frown . As from birth till now , he hasn't seen him angry more than five times and the result of which is every time a person being unlucky to the point Heavens can't save him. At least Wang Wu and his own parents won't leave a person by the side , once he manages to hurt Su Yang even in the slightest.

" Anything else suspicious about him ?? " Su Yang asked in a cold tone, the target of this hatred is nevertheless, Su Chen .

" My Lord .... He too reached .... reached .... Foundation Establishment.... Level 6...." Wang Wu said with some difficulty in breathing when right in front of his eyes , the figure belonging to Su Yang started to intercede with the Cold and High Long Yue . If the previous him was a type of cold beauty attraction to the others than this moment he is the embodiment of the pride , himself. For only a moment, he saw a figure standing high above the Heavens , Over looking the whole world as a mere dust as not worth his time .
