Space is Ruled by the Dragon

After twelve hours Saiken woke up. His head was still in pain from the impact.

After waking up the first thing he noticed was that his head was covered in fresh blood, but before he could scream he heard, "Hey there."

"…" Saiken was speechless, he was sure that he heard something, but… where from.

"H-hey… am in your head."

Saiken stopped looking around and froze.

'In my head?' a new fear came over him, knowing that the strange voice was already inside his head freaked him out.

"Here let me… let me just help."

Suddenly he felt his conscious get pulled inside… somewhere, his vision blacken. After a second he woke up in a pitch black room, and in front of him was a young man, but what surprised Saiken the most was the man's looks.

"Hey there." The young man said.

"Who are you… and why do you look like me?!" With all that has happen to the demon, his mind was already on the edge.

"Calm down kid, I am you."

"My name is Patrick… what's yours, little me?" the young man said with a polite smile on his face.

Saiken seemed to be in a daze after hearing the teen's claim of being him.

"W-What do you mean you are me?"

"What I mean is we share the same soul."

"What?!"

"Look, all I know is that I died and am here, which means I have been reborn in a… what are you again."

"I am a demon, w-what are you."

"I was a human when I died but it seems that am also a demon too." Patrick seemed to not care as he said this while shrugging.

"You are a human?!"

"Was. As in past tense."

"Aahh!!" Saiken screamed as he ran towards Patrick.

"Dude?!"

"I will kill you!?"

"Saiken stop! Remember am you."

"I will kill you?!"

Sigh*

Suddenly Patrick raised his hand and slapped the approaching Saiken.

"Calm down kid!" with a serious tone Patrick grabbed Saiken from the collar.

Saiken's eyes started to water up, "they're all going to die!!"

"You don't know that, remember your-… our race is strong, am sure they will manage… somehow."

Sniff* "You are right… how did you know my name? I didn't tell you."

"I am you, remember. Plus I was looking through your memories."

"Come on we need to get out of here, from what I have learned from your memories, in this world… you are never safe."

"R-right, but how do I get out of this place?"

"All right, just go stand on the glowing symbol over there."

As soon as Saiken walked on the symbol it shone. Saiken's body remain in the dark void but his presence was now focused on what was outside.

"P-Patrick are you their?"

The was a brief silence for second before the now familiar yet still creepy voice rang out inside Saiken's head.

'Just call me Pat, it's shorter… and I think I will call you Sai, Ah.' Pats voice suddenly trailed off.

"What is it?" Saiken asked.

'It's nothing. Anyways lets- do you smell that?'

"What?" Saiken raised his nose in the air and sniffed, even though he was not in his wolf form his sense of smell was still greater than that of a Bloodhound.

"It almost smells like Alilo."

'The red boy from the Serpent family?'

"That's him."

'Then we better hide… man I hate snakes.' Patrick said in a dissatisfied tone.

"Don't worry I have sparred with Alilo before and know how to fight giant snakes." Saiken said proudly.

Sigh* 'Well just in case go to the wall on you left and then go around the cave and then hide behind that boulder.'

Saiken had a confused expression so Patrick decided to explain.

'Snakes have bad eyesight so they rely mostly on their sense of smell.'

"Ah okay."

Saiken went around the cave and sat quietly behind the boulder. After three minutes a giant snake head emerged from the cave entrance.

The head alone was more than two meters long. The giant-… the behemoth of snake slow made its way to the center of the cave, it then began lifting its head.

The giant thing was like a kaiju version of a Cobra. Its neck had already spread wide as knowing that it's pray was close.

'HOLY MORRY THAT THING IS HUGE!!!' Patrick screamed.

'Shhhh.'

'I can't believe that I am going to watch myself die a second time! I mean what the hell, and I am so young.'

The giant snake was flickering its tongue in the air.

The snake started moving left from the cave entrance, opposite to where Saiken was hiding.

'It's taking the bait let's get the hell out of here.'

"Right." With that Saiken took a step towards the entrance.

Suddenly the snakes head jerked up.

'Shit I forgot about vibrations.' Patrick cursed inside Saiken's head.

"What?!!" Saiken scream out loud.

'Okay now you are dead.' Patrick said, his voice fully coated with fear.

The snake suddenly twisted its body sending its large tail at Saiken.

Inside Saiken's mind Patrick had jumped inside the control magic circle and had dived away from the tail.

What Patrick didn't know was that by stepping inside the circle he had pushed Saiken's conscious out of it, there by taking control.

"Kid are you okay?"

'Pat where are you.'

Patrick realized that he was not in the dark space anymore, looking around all he could see was rocks and a giant snake ten times his height.

"Shit." Patrick cursed.

Snake was getting in a coiling position. Before it could attack Patrick realized that his position was right next to the door.

'Escape!!' Patrick screamed and started running.

He successfully entered the tunnel.

To Patrick running now would be the best course of action for the little boy's survival.

Looking behind Patrick saw the slow moving kaiju cobra, and after seeing how slow the monster was moving he couldn't help but let out a joyful yet mocking laugh.

After a while they had completely lost sight of the giant snake, but were completely lost.

"Ah Saiken can you take over? I think your wolf form can help us out here."

'R-right!'

"Okay just pull me out of the circle and- woah!"

'Finally, safety in the darkness.'

"Okay here I go!" Saiken started to concentrate.

His body slowly started to morph into that of a wolf after ten seconds his form had changed into that of a wolf.

With a sniff of the air Saiken started running. After going through dozens of caves and turns Saiken finally reached the outside.

And it was a desert…

It was already night time, looking up four moons hung in the sky, all the moons were scattered in the sky.

Saiken took in a deep breath and then suddenly howled.

'Hey what are you doing?!' Patrick suddenly asked.

"Heh, sorry, it's a habit." Saiken said.

'Well your habit is going to get us killed, we are not in the demon capital anymore we have to survive on our on.'

"Right!" Saiken's expression went serious.

'Okay let's choose were to go… what do you think east or west-… that snake his following us.' Patrick had already discovered the snakes scent before even Saiken could.

Sniff*

"You're right but-"

'Come on choose already: East or west?' Patrick was becoming impatient.

The fact that a giant snake would be following them on almost there entire journey was frightening for Patrick.

"I-"

'You don't know what east or west is do you.'

To Patrick's question Saiken only nodded his head.

'Sigh* Whatever. In fact at the moment, even I don't know lest just keep moving until the sun rises, then we can choose.'

After the brief pause Saiken started running forward, at this moment his body was full of energy, but of course Patrick also knew why; it was because all the moons were present, they might not be full moons but they still gave him enough strength.

Since Saiken also had the water element he gained another bonus effect.

While Saiken was traversing the desert the war in the demon empire continued.

Far from Saiken the demon army decimated the human armies.

"Keep fighting! The reinforcements will be here soon!" Jeffad bellowed.

Although he said it even he did not believe it. Why?

This was because these damned humans were too clever, they had disrupted all teleportation devices, and has if this wasn't enough they sent in suicide bombers through strange means who destroyed all the large teleportation gates.

This hard stopped all plans for retreat and reinforcement.

Jeffad's face was turning gloomy, he stared at the battle in front of him. His sight went up, his heart ached at seeing the giant city wall filled with holes.

"Jeffad be a man, this is no time for sightseeing." Sainva while in her wolf said.

She was larger than three meters with purple fur, her blue eyes were filled with a certain mystery in them, and on the battler filled she was known as the beast of poison.

In front huge battle was unfolding but Jeffad was ordered to safe keep this part of the second wall. At first he was quite happy to defend his home, but after seeing countless demons fall his hand did not leave the hilt of his sword, not that he would use a meager sword anyways.

At this moment a giant snake was killed by an equally giant sword of light.

Jeffad's blood red eyes started glow and his black pupils turned to slits.

Jeffad to a step forward but was immediately stopped by Sainva.

"I will take care of this." She said and then jumped of the wall.

Jeffad continued to look around the battlefield, all types of demons were present from the Gargoyle Family to the Jaguar Family. All the Large Families were participating in this war.

Jeffad could take no more of this, he turned around to do his job.

Suddenly a scent whiffed past his nose, he followed the trail with his head.

Looking up what he saw was a young man flying from the demon castle. The man was wearing red robes but that didn't matter as in the next second the young man's body morphed into a giant black dragon.

"It's coming!!" A shout a came from the human side.

Within a second after the shout more than fifty well armored knights appeared in the sky.

The black dragon that was more than thirty meters tall didn't even stop and blew the knights away.

It started spewing black flames on the never ending humans.

But suddenly a woman weary golden armor appeared, she waved her sword which in turn released a white beam of light.

The beam of light struck the dragon on its shoulder, the scales had negated most of the damage but a mark still remained.

Everyone from the demon side were shocked. The great master had actually taken damage.

Even the black dragon was surprised.
