25 Chapter 24

Yushiro ran forward as his body started to fade. Jumping side to side as he built momentum he kicked Susamaru in the ribs. He followed up with a straight punch to her gut, making her double over as she held her stomach.

Finishing his attack, he grabbed her by the hair and slammed his knee right into nose.

Meanwhile, Tanjiro was running forward while fending off and dodging Yahaba's arrows.

He jumped to the right then did a front flip before ducking. In his crouched position he pulled his sword over his shoulder and with all his strength he dashed forward.

'The thread!'

Yahaba was surprised by the sudden burst of speed and couldn't react. Tanjiro took a deep breath as his sword started gushing out water.

'Water Breathing, First Form: Water Surface Slash!!'

He swung his blade and with a clean cut, he sliced Yahaba in half. Both parts of his body hit the ground and he coughed up blood. He raised his hands and quickly Tanjiro cut both of his arms off as well.

"Miss Tamayo, do they have a high concentration of Muzan's blood?" He asked.

"I believe so." She answered.

Tanjiro took a syringe from his haori and took some blood from Yahaba. Seeing Tanjiro bend down on one knee, Yahaba smirked and regrew his arms.

He curled his hand into a fist as the veins on his arms bulged and with bliss he nailed Tanjiro in the ribs. He watched Tanjiro's body bend to the side as blood came up from his mouth before he was sent flying across the court yard.

He rolled the top half of his body over and looked towards Sasamaru before he put his hands out. The eyes on his hands started closing rapidly as arrows shot around her in all directions.

They slammed into Yushiro who was about to kick her in the jaw and sent his body slamming into the brick wall. He looked back and saw he was still regenerating.

"SASAMARU, I THINK WE SHOULD RETREAT!!" He yelled. Seeing the situation they were in, he didn't see how they would be able to survive.

He put them out of the fight for a bit, but with his condition there won't be much he can do.

"RETREAT?! WE'LL BE KILLED!!" Sasamaru yelled back.

"Damn it. Either way we're not in a good position." Yahaba muttered.

'If I can get that swordsman out then we might be able to team up on that demon boy.' Yahaba thought. He put his hands out and rapidly they started opening and closing.

Tanjiro who was on one knee, using his sword for supports was dragged into the air before being sent to the right, left, downward, then suddenly upward.

All the movement made his already broken rib ache in pain as he coughed up blood. Yahaba showed no signs of stopping as he continued his assault.

He slammed Tanjiro back to the ground and slung him into trees. His nose and mouth were already leaking blood nonstop and his body was limp.

With one last attack he sent Tanjiro through the clouds and decided to let gravity the job. His lower body started to reattach itself to his upper half and with grit teeth, Yahaba tried to speed his regeneration by force.

Tamayo saw the scene take place and was in total shock. She saw Tanjiro's body free falling from the clouds and in a matter of minutes he'd slam into the ground and surely be dead.

She clinched her fist and as Yahaba finally got his lower half attached and ran off to help Sasamaru, she fled towards Nezuko. She saw that while she was regenerating it was incredibly slow.

Digging in her haori with an anxious expression, she pulled out a syringe and stuck it into Nezuo's neck before pushing the contents into her bloodstream.

The holes in Nezuko's body started to heal rapidly and she opened her eyes.

"Nezuko, you have to save your brother!!" Tamayo said as she pointed towards the sky.

Tanjiro was falling and now spinning as he gained speed while falling towards the ground.

Nezuko's eyes widened and her pupils turned into vertical slits as veins appeared around her face. She got up and with a growling sound she crouched till the ground beneath her was cracked.

In a blur she vanished and big dust cloud sprung up, completely covering Tamayo. As Tanjiro was falling, Nezuko was flying through the air towards him. She out her arms out and as she caught him, she saw all the blood he was leaking and his horrible condition.

With him in her arms she started falling towards the ground and she adjusted herself to make the landing as soft as possible.

Once she landed on the ground, she did so on one knee and moved Tanjiro to the ground so his body could travel with the downward force, nullifying some of the recoil.

She sat him down next to Tamayo and without a word she vanished once more before appearing next to Yahaba.

He noticed her too late and the next thing that met him was a kick to the face. The power behind her kick was so great that his head was slightly ripped off, but somewhere in her she didn't want him to die yet.

She grabbed him by the collar and plunged her fist into his stomach, making him puke up blood, before she sent him flying back.

She turned towards Sasamaru and grabbed her by the shoulder. Her nails dug into her skin for better grip as she turned around and slammed her on her head.

She then cocked her right leg back before letting it fly forward and kicking her right into Yahaba.

"Finally, I get some support. Nice to see someone's useful around here." Yahaba said.

"I'm done getting my revenge, so I'll fight to kill now." He said.

Nezuko nodded and simultaneously they dashed forward. Yahaba grabbed Sasamaru's head and slammed it into his knee, making her stumble back.

His nails sharpened and with a quick slash he gutted her her. Blood sprayed out as some of her organs started falling from the large cut. She dropped to her knees while covering the cut and with a sadistic smile, Yushiro cut her head off then ripped her heart out.

He pulled out a vial and let her blood fill it up before crushing the heart. Her body started to vanish into red and black ashes that soon vanished into nothing.

Back with Nezuko, she jumped over one of Yahaba's arrows and jumped to the right as she made advances. Yahaba was scared. The fear could be seen on his face as he was rapidly moving back.

He tripped over his own feet and missed with his arrows giving Nezuko the opening she needed. She ran forward and grabbed him by the collar and pulled him forward as she jammed her knee into his stomach.

He coughed up even more blood and in his eyes there was some tears. She pulled him back and with her right hand balled into a fist, she nailed him in the face with it.

Then she punched him again and again and again. Her teeth was grit so hard the muzzle around her mouth was destroyed and her eyes glowed a bit as she yelled.

After one last punch which finally blasted a hole through his head, letting his brains slip out, she cut the head off and slammed it into the ground before stomping on his chest where the heart would be placed.

The dust cloud she formed settled and Yahaba's body was gone. Reduced to nothing.

Yushiro was completely gobsmacked. He thought back to all those times he's hit her brother and became petrified with fear.

She hurriedly ran back towards Tamayo who injected Tanjiro with the same thing she gave Nezuko so he could heal faster. She also took the vial of blood from him.

Seeing that demon run towards Tamayo, Yushiro mustered up his courage and sped past her and started covering Tamayo protectively.

She didn't say anything about it, but she did move him around so she could see Nezuko.

"After this your brother should be coming to any moment now." She said in a soft tone.

Nezuko nodded her head. The veins on her face disappeared and her eyes went back to normal. She looked like a regular girl, worried for her brother.

"My head…" Tanjiro groaned as he tried to raise up. His body went stiff from the pain in his ribcage, but he was able to sit up.

"Your body's healing, but you'll still be sore. While the house is a bit destroyed I wouldn't mind you resting over here." Tamayo suggested.

Yushiro's eyes widened and he was about to complain before remembering the scene of Yahaba. He shut his mouth and stayed silent.

"Thank you for…the offer, but I couldn't possibly impose on you even more. This situation was all my fault." Tanjiro said while looking at the ground.

He looked up and suddenly froze before grabbing Nezuko by the shoulders.

"Your muzzle where'd it go?!" He asked, looking at her in distress.

She pointed over where she killed Yahaba and there the muzzle was. Completely broken.

"…" He looked over and froze with a shocked expression.

"She doesn't seem to need one from what I see." Tamayo said.

"Well-"

Tanjiro stopped in his sentence as he saw Nezuko fall asleep with her head on his leg. He closed his mouth let her sleep as they were both carried into the house and down to the basement.

"So they failed? How useless." Muzan said with a frustration sigh.

'From looking at their memories it seems like the boy can indeed use Water Breathing like it said in the report. The female demon however, is far beyond the strength Kyoshi wrote down.

Could she have eaten a lot of people within a shirt amount of time or what? Either way this is very fascinating. A demon and Demon Slayer duo, working together?'

Muzan grinned at the thought of this.

"Very interesting."

I know, the fight was getting boring fir some of you🙄

Anyways, that's done and now we can move on to Seikichi's situation finally. Just felt like writing some action. I also want to start developing a relationship between Sekichi and that obvious somebody.

Not Shinobue. That's weird.

On a completely different note I was given the suggestion to continue into the modern world so I got an idea.

After I'm done with my SDS ff I can make a sequel to this ff, where Since there aren't demons there's vampires that roam the world in hiding and in plain sight.

As in vampires I'm referencing to people like Tamayo and Yushiro who only use blood to survive. Deluded bloodline of demons.

I won't tell you everything, but the MC would be a special person. Anyways I got a question.

Should I do that?

And for my SDS ff who should the LI be. The Mc 1000 years old and anyone besides Elizabeth is acceptable or should I make an OC like I am for this one. My OC's are pretty fire🤷🏾‍♂️

There's also the chance for no romance at all.

Oh right. This ff is not out yet. It's being worked on as you read this.
