festival

So… me and Yumiko and her grandma which apparently is called Hana

As I was walking through the lighted up streets with all the people and attractions, I… I remembered, I remembered it's an anime… the world is so… vibrant! The street looks amazing, I would have never gone here if I weren't escorted here

"are you coming" I heard from my front

I looked down to see the honestly good looking Yumiko with her full outfit makeup hairstyle combo, I didn't think it would look good on her but her grandma did a good job preparing her

"…" I didn't answer and walked a little faster and stoped on the left side of Yumiko, the right side of Yumiko is her grandma

"is this your first time at a festival Tekochi?" this time the worn out voice of Hana called me

"uhh- yeah" I looked at her while answering "I am quite new in the city so I asked Yumiko to tour me around" I smiled at her

"uh, young love" hana smiled at her words while me and Yumiko cringed "if this is your first time" she continued her words "than you should try praying at the temple" she smiled at me sweetly "I got my wish, maybe you will get yours?" she chuckled a little and then looked at the front

"I think I'll do just that, though I won't entrust my goals to a god, I'll try it anyway" after getting here I have been thinking about the possibility's of some kind of god brought me here even though I'm an atheist

"Tekochi" this time it was Yumiko "you don't have to pray you know? You don't need to feel obliged" she said awkwardly to me

I think she thinks that gods hate demons or something, I'm pretty sure in the Shinto religion demons are considered evil

"no its ok, they don't really hate me or something" I looked at her in the eyes trying to convey my massage

"uh, I see" I can tell she has some questions I'll just tell her later

The festival was fun.

We played some games that can be found in festivals ate some weird overpriced food and we all made a wish to Kami which I found out in one of the explanations of the religious Hana that 'Kami' is the embodiment of ALL Shinto gods, so instead of always choosing specific gods all the time we just pray for all the gods, or basically the 'world'

Hana is a sweet heart really, the old woman is an angel so I decided to help her out

"hey Hana" I came to her with a question "do you know when the fire works are?" I asked

"I think its in about ten minutes, why? Do you need to go somewhere?" she asked me back

Currently me Yumiko and Hana which by the way I'm calling them in first name because they have the same one so it can get confusing, all of us found a place to stand to watch the fireworks

"actually I have this charm I bought" I grabbed a charm I stole and presented to her "apparently it wards off sickness, Yumiko told me that you are sick so I wanted to give it to you" I had a small smile on my face and presented it to her, Yumiko who watched this widened her eyes and looked at me with hope

"oh… that's sweet" she smiled sadly back "but I don't think it will work, the doctor said it was un-curable" she tried to deny the gift so I pushed it into her hands and said

"just hold on to it, can you do that for me?" I said while suprising her with the suddenly aggressive action

"hm" she nodded while closing her eyes for a second thinking about something

When she grabbed the charm I chanted in my head [BDA: ideal body], and she glowed blue for a second under the tearful eyes of Yumiko, the concept of the [ideal body] is that the body will be as healthy as possible, be it missing limbs lost blood or even sickness it is a cure all technique

"*gasp*" she widened her closed eyes and looked at the charm

"wh-what happened grandma" Yumika tried not to tear up

"I- suddenly it doesn't hurt" Hana tried to move in different ways "even my back stopped aching, I can't believe this" she lifted the charm in her hands and looked at it like it was a treasure "thank you" I can see the confusion on how that happened but she probably thinks the charm had something to do with it, maybe she thinks the pain is just gone and not the sickness

Yumiko hugged her grandma while she cried, while Hana bless her soul didn't understand why she cried

I smiled at the scene and looked back at the sky, I knew from smell and hearing and even sight that a firework is about to blow up

*BOOM* *BOO-**BO-*BOOM-*

The fireworks covered the sky while Hana and Yumiko hugged, me? I was at the side looking at my first firework show… ever
