As soon as the rain stopped, Zhang Chen left the village.
Half a day after the young lady, her butler, and their entourage left the village, a figure descended from the sky on a gust of wind.
It was the Daoist priest who came to investigate the killing of the ghost bride.
Without so much as a glance at the bodies of the villagers strewn about, the Daoist priest went straight into the temple.
Looking at the broken mud statues and bones inside the temple, his face darkened with anger. "I have been planning this for decades and now it's all gone! You can't escape me!"
Immediately, he began to cast a spell over the bodies of the dead villagers, and a great deal of yin energy surged forth from his body.
"Illumine the darkness, spirits of the four directions, heed my command and return at once!"
Suddenly, the wind picked up, the sky grew dark, and the sound of ghostly wailing could be heard.
"Woo~"
