"Yes, Your Majesty, I will not leave this room until your return. My main focus will be on finding more ways for you to open this book." B replied.
"Good. Now I must go. Keep yourself entertained by my vast book collection while I am gone." William suggested.
B nodded his head yes. William turned around and exited the room. B heard him lock the door behind him. Beleth smirked, then rolled his eyes at the weak gesture of strength William was putting on display. He talked a good game, but all B could smell was fear.
The fear was pouring out of him. It took almost every ounce of control not to toy with him.
B noticed a folded handkerchief with Beatrice's blood. It sat next to the book. He was happy to have it back in his possession. He had thought it would take more than an ego stroke. He had been wrong in his assumption and was one step closer to ending this debacle.
