Evil System Holder

Almost instantaneously we get teleported to a big hall.

The hall is very big and it gives a feeling of holiness.

Looking around I see that we are surrounded by people from all around. Few are wearing white robes and most of them are wearing knight armor.

From the robe-wearing men one steps forward and says to us, "Greetings system holders I am the pope of the church of God."

'So he's also calling us system holder, looks like everyone knows about this' Alen thinks mentally.

'But I can't get that mission out of my head this thinking Alen again opens the system's mission interface.

[ MISSIONS

Main Mission: Become the strongest.

Description: It's not an adventure it's a race. Be the first to become the strongest person among the other system holders in the world.

Reward: Return to your main world with all your powers and memories present.

Failure: If you fail to complete this mission you will be back to your world without any power and memory.

System Mission: Kill the Hero system holder.

Description: You have the Demon King System so your path to become the Demon King is inevitable. Clear your path by getting rid of your nemesis.

Reward: System Mission gets upgraded and the Store category gets added.

Failure: System Mission doesn't get upgraded. The store category doesn't get added.

Mission One: Pass the examination.

Description: Any evil system holder will be purified. Smoothly pass the examination to know if you are an evil system holder.

Reward: One chance to upgrade one of your skills.

Failure: Death. ]

'What's this another mission got added. Lana, when did this mission arrive?'

[ "Just now" ]

'So am I an evil system holder also?'

[ "By their standard, yes you are an evil system holder" ]

'But they are serving God right. So why will they target me because God gave this system to me'

[ "God doesn't discriminate between good and evil. But they do. God is whatever you imagine him to be. In someone's eye, he is good another's eye he is evil. He can be merciful or cruel in someone's mind. The person in front of you seems to believe that God is on the side of goodness" ]

'Tell me about the failure why would the result be death?'

[ "Failure only shows the outcome" ]

Hearing this Alen slightly widens his eye.

'Does everyone get this same mission?'

[ "No, if you have a good system then you will not get this mission on the other hand you can get similar types of missions if your system is evil" ]

'Thanks' After Alen's internal conversation with his system he sees that the pope starts speaking again.

"You all have been sent by our God. We hope you will achieve what he wishes for."

"We will bring you to the King for the ceremony."

Then the pope motions with his hand and another person steps forward. The priest comes and with him brings a transparent orb.

The pope with a benign smile says, "But before that, we need to do an examination and purify the evil system holders."

Someone asks, "What's an evil system?"

"A person who has a corrupted system. And the system's sole purpose is to cause chaos," the pope replies shortly.

I look at my classmates and see that some have a pale face and some are already starting to sweat.

The same boy asks again, "By purify what do you mean?"

"By taking their mortal life and giving them freedom," the pope says without changing any emotion on his face.

Everyone gasps hearing that. Now you can tell the situation is becoming heavier and heavier by the minute.

Suddenly one boy starts running trying to get out of this hall but he quickly gets caught by the knights.

If I remember correctly he is the big kid that bullies other classes students.

"NO, LET ME GO!!!"

"You are an evil system holder then, knights purify him," the pope says without blinking.

Another knight comes forward and takes his sword out and without missing a beat beheads the screaming boy's head from his body.

Everyone stands shell-shocked seeing this. Some even vomit.

Seeing this scene the pope casts a spell that calms everyone down.

Then the pope starts saying, "One by one please come forward and put your one hand on this orb."

Without missing any second everyone forms a line. I stand at the last.

The first boy goes to the priest and puts one of his hands on the orb.

The pope then says, "Say the name of your system."

The boy smiles brightly and says, "Hero System."

Yes, he is that blond kid that Alen has to kill to complete his system mission. 'If I remember correctly which I obviously do his name is Eric.'

'Hey, Lana since I got the system mission to kill the hero system holder he must have gotten one to say to kill the demon king system holder also.'

[ "That is correct Alen" ]

'Hmmm, seems like I got no choice. Either way, I will kill him regardless he got a mission or not. I will return to my world and for that, I need to become the strongest.'

The orb shines a bright light and the pope says without changing his expression, "You pass."

The blond boy named Eric was expecting some sort of celebration but seeing no change he quietly stood away lest he annoy the pope.

Then others also start doing the same.
