I'm locked up!

There was a tense atmosphere in the room of western palace. Mingmei was told to kill herself bum Xuan's mother, Jia because that was the only way to save Xian. Mingmei looking at the dagger felt only one thing - "Because of me no one will die. I can't let Xuan's life be in danger again. It's better that he doesn't have any feelings for me right now else it will be more difficult for us to get departed. Xuan, I just want you to be happy. Thank you for staying and saving me all the time."

Thinking this, Mingmei put her right hand slightly near the stomach and was ready to stab herself to death when she felt a familiar touch and a familiar hand. She raised her head to look at the person standing in front of her.

"Xuan," murmured Jia, looking at her son. Mingmei tried releasing her grip from him but her hand didn't move an inch because Xian's grip was tight around her hand but the hold was gentle.

"Xuan, you should've taken rest. Fei Ming Si, come inside and take Xuan from here," shouted Jia. Ming Si opened the door hearing this and came inside. He got worried seeing the sight. On one side there was Xuan's mother and on the other side there was Xuan's bride.

Ming Si stepped ahead of Jia's order when Xuan glared at him. Jia felt his son's gaze wasn't welcoming so she was going to grab Mingmei's arm when Xuan growled, "No one can touch her without my permission, not even not you, mother."

Hearing this Jia muttered, "She's a mere human who doesn't have any worth in front of us. To maintain the balance sacrifices are needed and this human is doing that." Jia then looked at Mingmei. "I saw that you don't have a family so you should kill yourself. Your name will be known in both the realms, Angel world and the human world. Xuan has a family so just end yourself," stressed Jia on Mingmei.

"Mother, I didn't expect to save your own son, you'll tell someone to give sacrifice. You don't have any right to say that she has no one because I'm the one who will stand beside her till the end. Now you should leave from here because I want some alone time with her," mumbled Xuan and then shifted his gaze to Ming Si. Ming Si understood Xuan and took Jia out from there.

Mingmei wiped off her tears before Xuan could see her and wore a smile on her lips. "How are you? What did happen to you there?," asked Mingmei with a concerned voice. Xuan turned to look at her and then from his left hand took away the dagger from Mingmei's right hand. "I'm good. You know that I'm invincible," answered Xuan with a smile.

Mingmei got teary hearing this so she put her hand on Xuan's face. Xuan looked at her. Mingmei caressed Xuan's face for a few minutes. "I was scared when I saw blood coming from your mouth. How did you get hurt? You know that you're the most precious person to everyone." Xuan put his hand on Mingmei and then took it into his.

"I don't carry any special feelings for you. It's just you helped me and I'm repaying you. You don't need to get scared because of me. That time I was just checking the power of the love spell on this bracelet. I can't let you be harmed because if you get pain, I'll feel pain ten times yours. I can't let myself die," mumbled Xuan and then released her hand.

"Love spell?," murmured Mingmei and looked at Xuan.

"Mingmei, we're staying here for a few days if you don't have any problem," asked Xuan looking into Mingmei's eyes. She refused and told him that they can stay there.

"Here you're safe. I'll come to meet you in the evening. Till then you can take rest," spoke Xuan with a smile.

"Ning Li," shouted Xuan. She came inside the room and bowed in front of the young master.

"Ning Li, please help her in changing these clothes. Make sure no one can enter her room else you know the consequences. Give her every single thing she will demand," affirmably said Xuan and then disappeared from there.

"I'm Ning Li, the personal assistant of yours," she bowed slightly her head. "Don't bow like this. We can be friends..I mean if...you..want to," murmured Mingmei. Ning Li smiled and nodded.

"You have to take a bath first. Please come this way, Ming Mei," mumbled Ning Li. Mingmei nodded and followed her. She was intrigued by the sight of the bathhouse. She looked at the bathtub which was as big as six bathtubs together. The water has rose petals floating over it and the scent of those were all around the bathhouse. She looked at Ning Li and whispered, "you have these big bathhouses here in this world?"

"Yes Miss," mumbled Ning Li.

"Okay then just give me some clothes and I'll come out in a while," said Mingmei looking at Ning Li. Ning Li smiled and said, "attendants will be there to help you bath." Mingmei was startled hearing. "No, no I can't...I mean…." Ning Li didn't hear any words of her and called ten attendants there. They all took Mingmei inside while Mingmei kept on refusing.

Lim Jao Bin was picking some flowers in the garden when her attendant Rio Wi. "Young master has woken up but he has gone directly to the room of the human girl." Lim Jao hearing this crushed the flowers in her hand. "Let's go there," muttered Lim Jao in anger.

"But Miss, the young master has ordered that no one can go there except him. He also ordered the same for his mother," murmured Rio Wi and lowered her eyes. Lim Jao threw the flowers on the grassy ground. All her attendants got terrified. She then smiled and said, "I want to make something delicious for her. She is the close friend of the young master so I should treat her better." She then walked away from there followed by Lim Jao.

Mingmei was wearing white robes which had pink flowers embroidered all over it. Her hair was flung open with a silver clutch holding them. "Isn't it so much to carry?," murmured Mingmei. "Ning Li when will my clothes dry up?," asked Mingmei.

"We've thrown them as there were blood stains on those clothings," muttered Ning Li. "But those clothes were gifted by my parents. I wore them to attend the festival. Please bring them back," mumbled Mingmei.

"Apologies Miss, but they can't be. Forgive us for throwing your parent's gift," apologized Ning Li and lowered her eyes. "Eh..It's fine ...It's fine," muttered Mingmei and smiled. "Let's go outside," Mingmei told Ning Li.

"But we can't as per young master's instruction," stated Ning Li. Mingmei laid down on the bed, with her one leg on the knee of the other. She stretched her hand open and murmured, "Xuan doesn't have to lock me inside this small room. I can't even meet Ming Si, Yang Dao and Feng Lui." Ning Li sat on the chair there and said, "it's for your safety, Mingmei. It's the demon world and you're the only human in this world. Moreover, you're a girl whom the young master cares for. The girls can use this against you and all are demons."

Mingmei looked at her and was still at the position. "What are you saying?"

"Mingmei, the young master, never defied his mother in any situation. He never even got close to any girl because it bothers him a lot. So, it's obvious that women will despise you," explained Ning Li. Mingmei didn't say anything when the door fell open.

Mingmei immediately got up from the bed and Ning Li from the chair. Lim Jao came inside with her three attendants and greeted Mingmei. Mingmei smiled and put her hand ahead to shake hands with her but she confusingly looked at her so Mingmei immediately took her hand back. She looked back and saw three attendants.

"Sister, I have brought something delicious for you. I've made it myself. Do you want to eat?," asked Lim Jao.

Mingmei smiled and said, "Why not. Please have a seat here." Ning Li intervened between them. "Miss Bin, the young master has ordered that no one can enter here without his prior permission," mumbled Ning Li.

"Eh...Ning Li there's no need for that. I am hungry. It's good she has made something delicious for me," muttered Mingmei. Lim Jao smiled and held Mingmei's arm and made her sit on the mattress on the floor. "Rio Wi, put the dishes here," ordered Lim Jao. She served the food to Mingmei and told her to eat.

Mingmei nodded and started eating. "Mmmm, it's delicious. Your cooking is really nice. But what's this?," asked Mingmei.

"Ah, it's the demonic world special type of vegetables which we put in the dumplings and pour them in the soup," explained Lim Jao and smiled. "Why don't you eat?," asked Mingmei looking at Lim Jao.

"My stomach is full," answered Lim Jao. Mingmei nodded and kept on eating. After finishing she thanked Lim Jao for such a tasty dish. They sat on the huge bed there to talk with each other when Mingmei felt a slight pain in her stomach and she ran outside to throw up. Ning Li ran after her. Lim Jao and her attendants too ran behind her.

Mingmei threw up the entire food in the yard and blood started coming along with it. Lim Jao was shocked to see this. Mingmei felt her head heavy and she fell on the ground.
