Chapter 34

The next morning, Ming Chen woke up naturally from his sleep. Maybe because of the sweet dream he had last night, his emotions were a mix of happiness and sadness. The thought of Li Jun always made Ming Chen feel heartbreak. However, he couldn't dwell in his feeling for long as there was a knock on the door. 

Ming Chen felt confused as to who might have come this early in the morning. It couldn't have been his grandfather as at this time he would be meditating with uncle Gu. Nevertheless, he went and answered the door. Once he opened the door, he saw that it was the same man from last night. He looked very energetic so early in the morning. 

"Good morning, Mr Ming, since you moved in at such a late time last night you might have not had the chance to do some food shopping. The owner of the building felt bad, so he sent you this", the man moved back and revealed the 3 other men behind him and what they were holding. Each of the men were holding two massive bags of what seemed to be filled with groceries. These bags weren't just big, they were massive. One of those would be enough for him to last a week, but there was 6 of these massive bags. 

Ming Chen was shocked out of his mind. The owner of this seemed like a really nice person but sending something like this was weird and he would have no use for so much stuff. 

"Hhaha", Ming Chen gave an awkward laugh, while scratching the back of his head. 

"Please thank the owner for me, but I can't accept this at all", Ming Chen said trying to close the door. However, the man stepped forward and held the door up. He looked at Ming Chen with pleading eyes. 

"Mr Ming, please I beg you. You have to accept this gift otherwise the owner will fire me for not doing a good job, please Mr Ming I beg you", the man had gotten down on his knees and know begging Ming Chen to accept the stuff. Ming Chen felt flustered as well as feeling bad for this person. 

Ming Chen helped the person up and told him to come inside. However, the man profusely refused. He just instead looked at Ming Chen with pleading eyes. At the end Ming Chen ended up accepting the 6 massive bags of groceries. Now Ming Chen was sat down on his sofa with 6 bags of food, and he had no idea where to put them. 

He didn't want to waste any food, but he knew that by the time he finished just the one bag the other 5 bags would go bad. He sat on the sofa with his hands on his face, he was thinking of ways he can make the best of these foods without making them go to waste. 

Suddenly he thought of something and went back into his room. Ming Chen was searching for food banks that were near him. Food banks were excellent in this situation, there was quite a few around the city but he chose to donate to the 5 located on the outskirts of the city. The drive would be long, but he didn't mind. As long he was able to help others. He didn't mind the long drive. 

Ming Chen got changed into his casual outfit and put his phone, wallet and car keys into his pocket. He had picked up one bag and realised that it was heavy, really heavy. He struggled but nevertheless, he managed to put all 5 bags into his car and started his journey. 

Despite these places being in the outskirts of the city the places were crowded with homeless peoples and those who are less fortunate and can't afford foods to feed themselves nor their families. These places didn't get much donation nor much budget from the government to feed the people. Although, the food wasn't much to feed everyone, it should help them a little. 

Ming Chen was finally done taking food to the final food bank and by the time he was finished it was already night time. He didn't feel like doing anything much and just wanted to rest for the night. He has work the next norming and he didn't want to be late for the first day at work. The moment he felt the covers of the bed touch this body, he fell into deep sleep and once again dreamed about Li Jun. He had a dream that he and Li Jun were holding twins, although their faces couldn't be seen, Ming Chen knew it was their children, the ones that couldn't be born. They were living so peacefully and happily, his family as well as Li Jun's family were also there. It was a beautiful picture, one that he wanted to in- grave into his mind for the rest of his life. That night he had slept peacefully with a smile. 

The sudden sound of an alarm had woken up Ming Chen from his sweet dream, but seeing that it was already 8 o'clock, he didn't waste anymore time. He got up and took a hot shower. Before getting dressed and having a cup of coffee, before heading out of his apartment to head to work. The hospital he was going to work was once of the largest children's hospital. One could say that this was his dream of three lifetime. When he Ming Chen in the first life, he wanted to open and work in a children's hospital, however, his dreams couldn't come true, in his second life as Zhao Yang, he had wanted to open one in the Demon Kingdom, of course that dream was also shattered along with his entire family. 

However, Ming Chen didn't dwell on it anymore, because in his third life he was finally able to fulfil his dream. Once he had walked into the hospital, he was greeted by the director of the hospital. Ming Chen didn't understand why the director was here personally to greet him. Even if he was the oldest Ming child and the old man Ming's favourite. 

"Dr Ming, it was truly an honour to have you work in our hospital", the hospital director held out his hand for a hand shake. Naturally Ming Chen shook his hands and thanked him for giving him the opportunity to work here. The director guided Ming Chen throughout the hospital as well as showing his all the staff room, operation room and much more, before finally taking him to a small office space, which turned out to be his. 

"Director, I don't deserve such privilege of getting my own office space, it is too much, I will be happier with a shared office space", Ming Chen said trying to convince him to let him not have it.
