Thane closed the door after Brooke, and tried to help her to the bed, but she refused his help.
"Mr Grayson, what is going on? Are you really engaged to her?" She asked.
Thane sighed, "No, she's delusional, and Matthew is nothing but a fucking bastard." He hardened his tone, stunning Brooke that he could speak in such a manner.
'That's quite hot.' she couldn't help but think that there were sides to Thane that she was unaware of.
"Then, if you're not engaged to her, then why is she back here claiming you are?" Brooke delicately asked, although she sounded calm her heart was racing.
Thane pinched his temples, "She's the granddaughter of one of my grandfather's friends. And mother has been trying to set me up with just about anyone to please the head of the family." He confessed.
