The Descent into Hell Isn't Easy

"I'm ready." Monroe said strongly and looked into the Silent Brother. The Brother slowly nodded his head.

The Silent Brother raised his both hands and looked up.

"The soul sword reveals all." He said in a deep voice. Monroe also turned her gaze above her and the soul sword slowly falls down in a circular motion from the light above and stopped into her forehead. There are indistinct voices chanting over the place.

She stared at the soul sword without blinking and the moment it  landed into her forehead, only few of her memories and most of all there's one memory of her that stuck into her mind.

Flashbacks…

She was in her room and laying on the bed while talking to Simon when suddenly, she heard foot step approaching  into her room. She quickly acted like she's asleep upon knowing who's the owner of that steps. It was her mom and Joe they were talking and heard everything clearly.

"Joe...no." her mom said in a low tone of voice trying to reach Joe to stop him.

"All this lying is destroying you. Stop blocking her memories and tell her the truth." Joe turned his gaze to Jocelyn who's behind her.

She glanced at Monroe on the bed for a minute and stared back to Joe." I can't. You know I can't" she replied shaking her head. 

"You're just delaying the inevitable. Monroe is a demonhunter there's nothing you can do to change that." He said reminding her.

"This world is too dangerous. If anyone knew who she really was, the risk would be a hundred times greater."she said worried to her daughter. Monroe on the other hand was frowning she was confused.

"What happens when she finds out the truth on her own? And then what ?" He said in a sharp voice.

"I won't let that happen*whispered". If she finds out about her father… if she ever finds out that her father is Marcus…"

*Gasps and pants* Monroe returned to the present. The soul sword left a mark on her forehead and suddenly the sword disappeared quickly. She turned her gazed into the Silent brother in front of her as he put his hand down slowly. The brothers seemed shock upon discovering what they just saw from her memories.

"Wait...where are they going?" She asked the brother in front of her as she noticed the rest of the Silent brothers took a step backwards and went back to their post."We aren't done. We can't be done." She cried.

Jade ran quickly to her and asked her

 "Monroe, do you know where the cup is ?" Stared directly into her eyes.

"No." She cried and shook her head.

"Only fragments of her memory were accessible to us." The Silent Brother said in deep voice.

"It can't be true… what I saw." She pleaded referring to her memories and faced the Silent Brother.

"Your memories does not lie. You must accept what has been revealed." Said the Silent Brother.

"I can't *wiped tears* ...I can't " she said in between her sobs. 

Jade was looking at them confused."What is it? What did you see?" He asked with curiosity.

She turned her gazed to Jade and said "My mother lied to me. She lied, all these years about my father." She said while crying so hard.

"About your father? What about your father?" He asked again and frowned.

"My father*sobs*... My father is Marcus." She said in a lower tone of voice ashamed.

Jade look at her shocked and don't know what to say. And she ran out of the place while sobbing upon seeing Jade's reaction.

"So is cracking someone's mind open supposed to take this long?" Simon asked both Izzy and Alex."Maybe,we,or… you should go check?" Simon was near the barrel with fire making himself warm, he looked so stressed out and afraid at the same time. Alex was standing near the wall and Izzy was playing with her hair while staring at Simon.

"Jade has it covered." Alex said believing in Jade and glanced at Simon.

Izzy chuckles,still staring at Simon "Take my word for it. The Silent brothers are quite unpleasant." She said using her angelic voice.

"That's not helping.Not at all." Simon replied and turn his gaze back into the fire."what if Monroe can't handle the Silent Brothers? Wh-what does that--" he again stared and asked Alex.

"It literally never stops talking." Alex said interrupting him, he was already annoyed with Simon.

*Scoffs*" Is he always so charming?" Simon mocks Alex by asked Izzy.

"Firstborn. Heavy is the head that wears a crown." Izzy said casually.

"Mmm.I feel his pain.Only son.Mother wants me to be a Lawyer." He replied relating to Alex's.

"Mmm." Izzy went closer to Simon."And you? What do you want?" She added while staring seductively at him.

"Me?um… I'm in a band." He answered hesitantly.

"Yeah,what type of music?"Izzy said interestedly."let me guess*put her finger to her chin as if she's thinking* Indie rock!" She exclaimed

"Yea-ah" Simon chuckled nervously.

"Got anything on your phone ?" She chuckles.

"I do. We recorded our last set…*chuckles* I left my phone in the van" he said.

"Let's go get it." Izzy said seductively and stared at him promptly.

So they walked passed through Alex and they didn't even look at him. But Alex asked them to where are they going. Izzy just looked at him and smirked. She  finally managed to get Simon to have alone time with her.

Simon went to the front seat to get his phone and sit there while Izzy was standing beside him. He keeps talking and while Izzy was caressing his face down to his neck and look seductively to Simon. Simon was tensed.

Suddenly, Izzy heard a small sound. Her seductive face turns into serious one. She told Simon to stay inside the van no matter what she'll just go and check the area. She closed the door for Simon and signalled him to lock the door and walk quickly.

While he was inside the van he got bored so he listened to his song and put earphones that made him felt the relieved.He was choosing for a next song when suddenly, a hand covered his mouth that made him startled and his eyes went big.

Meanwhile, Jade and Monroe went out of the City of Bones together. Alex was there waiting for them. As soon as Alex saw them he walks towards them and asked what happened upon seeing their sad and disappointed faces.

"Marcus is Monroe's daughter." Jade said to Alex.

"Wait a minute... You're telling me that this girl shows up out of nowhere and she's Marcu's daughter!?" He asked while looking at Jade and Monroe.

"Enough, Alex" Jade reprimand.

"Do you think I planned for my mom to get kidnapped or...or for Natasha to be taken?Or to have a sword dangle over my head?" Monroe said unbelievably to Alex while crying again. 

Monroe stop the moment she realized that Simon isn't there."where's Simon?" She asked worriedly.Izzy arrived by herself running.

"I told him to stay in the van. I've searched everywhere." She said panting.

"He's gone?" Monroe exclaimed worried for her best friend.

"I can't find him." Izzy sighs worriedly.

"You were supposed to protect him."She said to Izzy angrily and ran to look for Simon.

"Ugh! These mundanes are killing me." Alex said. And they all followed Monroe.

They saw the van wide open and Simon's phone was left at the seat. Monroe was so worried about her best friend and keeps on calling Simon's name.

Suddenly, someone shouted from above the tower.

"Is that the mundane's name?" The man smirked while holding Simon's foot turning him upside down.Everyone turned their gaze to the man  talking few meters away. He look pale and his eyes were red.

"I'm afraid Simon's coming with us." The man added.

"No! He's not a part of this." Monroe exclaimed and ran towards the others.

"It'll be my pleasure to kill you unless you return him." Jade threatened the man.

"Careful. We'd be violating the accords" Alex said reminding Jade. Jade glance at Alex unbelievably instead of doing something to save Simon Alex still minds the accords.

"I'm afraid your sidekick's quite right. The Night Children have broken no laws. We're negotiating." The man said to Jade showing his fangs."The mundane, unharmed, in exchange for the mortal cup. And the clock is ticking.Tick-tick people." He added.

And in just a blink of an eye, the Vampires disappeared and only Simon's voice calling for Monroe could be heard from a distance.

"Simon! Simon! Simooooooon!*echoing*"

Meanwhile…

Natasha was inside a cage at Marcus's hide, she looks pale and weak. She's too weak for her powers to work. She was handcuffed from behind.

She was looking at Jocelyn who's sleeping under her spell. When suddenly, Marcus arrived in scary smiling face and went closer the Natasha's cage.
