An arc of lightning blasted through the area where I was a moment ago, causing the ground to crack and debris to fly everywhere.

From the moment her spell was activated, I knew she was a high-class mage.

It was a rather dull battle for a while, as the mages stood behind the shielded warriors and fired spells like they were testing the waters.

Compared to my instant casting, her spells only required a few seconds to cast, but the danger they posed to me was no less.

In the absence of my blinking steps, I would have been hit directly without a chance to escape.

In spite of this, I got hit by the lightning-type spell because it arches around a radius, and I was too slow to escape.

My movement skills need to be upgraded more because having only a mystic rank skill while I am at unique-rank disadvantages me greatly.
