Chapter 47: What I Came To Do
Detrick watched as Cecilia pushed against the earth, sending herself up into the sky. Her green dust trailing behind her.
How much of that dust can she use? Detrick asked himself.
He swung the tip of the sword towards the nearest dive-bombing dragon, flinging the flame whip at it. The tip caught the dragon in the wing, slicing through a portion of the membrane.
The dragon squealed, but managed to bank in the air, safely getting out of the way of another strike.
Then the demon leapt through the air. Detrick was giving it the full freedom to exert its will upon the living world.
The dragon never even saw the demon coming. But it felt it when the demon hit its head. The long neck jerked downwards, its body following after it.
Hauling the flying serpent down to the ground, the demon crushed its head into the ground right in front of the remaining people from the town.
