Chapter 9: Saturday

Last time, Rea was thinking about Zagreus. We all got on the guys. It is Saturday. I replied. Why don't we stop by Forsythia Café around ten? Rea asked. Why do you want us to go then? I asked. He slides up the screen and sees Rea text him. We are stopping by around ten. So don't freeze up like the last time. Jax glared at his phone. Also, Otome is looking forward to stopping by. Hey, help me get this coffee from the truck. Alexandre replied. Alright. Jax replied. Is he being distracted by something? Alexandre asked. Jax, you seem distracted by something. Is it a girl? Issac asked. Huh? Jax asked. Don't tell me you fell in love with Rea? Issac asked. I rather stay a lonely bachelor before I stoop that low. Jax replied. He went back to work. It's actually one of Rea's friends. Alexandre replied. Oh, I want to see how he reacts? Issac asked. At Rea's, we ate breakfast prepared by Rea's mother. Let's get ready to go, ladies. Rea replied. I feel she set up Jax to become nervous in that text. Just a feeling. I know he was the one she texted, no doubt. I thought. As we got ready to go to Forsythia Café, we were constantly hitting on. Otome gets embarrassed. This outfit exposed my midriff. Otome replied. Stop it Otome, you are dressing like a teen today. Rea replied. As ten roles around, Jax greeted us at the door. Welcome to Forsythia Café. Let me guide you ladies to a table. Jax replied. Thank you for last time, Jax. I have to pay you back. Otome replied. Rea grabbed Otome. Now Otome, Jax was being the guy he is. Rea replied. Jax adverted his eyes. Here is your table, ladies. Jax replied. Otome smiled. We sat and looked at the menu. He got his notepad out of his apron pocket. I would like Matcha Tea and sugar cookies. Otome replied. Sugar cookies? I asked. Chamomile Tea and Black and White cookies. Rea replied. What would you like, Delilah? Jax asked. Uhm, caramel macchiato and turkey sandwich. I replied. Rea looked at me. That's fine. Jax replied. The lunch rush is about to happen, anyway. Jax replied. Rea looked at Jax. I will be back with your food as soon as possible. Jax replied. Alexandre watched his reaction towards Otome. See, he is love with her. I mean she is not bad looking. Issac replied. He's coming this way. Jax comes around the corner. He sighs. I hate working weekends sometimes. Jax replied. You look stressed out, Jax. Issac replied. Here Issac. Jax replied. We have a line outside. Alexandre replied. What? Jax asked. I feel bad for you guys. Issac replied. He walks to the kitchen. Did those five come yet? Jax asked. He started to squint. No. Hey are you, ok? Alexandre asked. Jax looked out of it. You look tired, Jax. Alexandre asked. I'm fine, don't worry about me, Alexandre. Jax replied. He walks off stumbling. Otome looked to the side. Is Jax ok? Otome asked. Is there something wrong? I asked. His eyes look they were becoming dilated. He looks burned out. Otome replied. He works harder than anyone else I know. Rea replied. We should check up on him before we leave. I replied. He came back with our orders on a cart. Here this is for you ladies. Jax replied. Thanks Jax. Everyone replied. He handed us our plates. As soon he handed Otome her food. He lost his grip on the plate of cookies and the cup of tea. She grabbed the plates and put them on the table. No not right now. Jax thought. He lost his balance. Otome grabbed him before he fell. She felt his head. No wonder he fainted, he has a high fever. Otome replied. Jax, what happened to him? Alexandre replied. He collapsed after gave us our food. I have never seen him collapse before. Rea replied. Those five guys appeared. What's going on? Gin asked. It looks like Jax finally hit his limit. Carter replied. At least he fell in the arms of the girl he likes. Alexandre replied. If I told him this happened, he'd never let it go. Jax mother ran to the room. Did he finally overwork himself? Carlyle asked. Yes, well at least he was caught by Otome here. Rea replied. Listen Rea, this is not the time to tease him. You five hold it down for me. I'll take Jax home. Carlyle replied. I hope he gets better. Rea replied. Why don't you ladies come by for a visit? Carlyle asked. Sure we would love that. Rea replied. Jax mother called his father to get him. He rushed over and he took him home. Oh, he's going to hate being home bound all next week. Carlyle thought. As we looked sorry for him. After we ate everything, we went back to Rea's house. Otome is still thinking about Jax. He actually lives on the next block. We passed his house on the way back. Rea replied. Alright. Otome replied. At the Library, Aria at looked at her phone. What Jax collapsed now, this sudden drama is about to spiral? I wonder what will happen next? Aria asked. Why are you so loud? Delphi asked.
