Chapter 11

Getting him to keep his hands to himself until Ed came was an entire workout. Finally I heard him by the door, so I buzzed him in. He knows this place like the back of his hands since he worked for me ever since my parents assigned him to me.

He greeted me again and then turned his attention to the stranger.

"Who are you and why are you in my room?"

"You were injured so I'm guessing that is why you don't remember anything. I am a doctor. I'll ask you a few questions."

"Did my mother send you?"

"No."

"Then I do not have to answer to you."

I had to think fast. He wouldn't co-operate otherwise.

"Matt sent him so I'm guessing it was on your mother's orders."

Ed turned to look at me puzzled so I gave him a shrug.

"Well if my Luna says so, how can I ignore it?"

Ed turned to him and began asking questions.

"What is your name?"

"Are you insulting me?"

"No, I am asking."

I deadpanned. "He knows your name; he just needs to see if you remember it." I just hope he buys it and doesn't give us a wrong name to see if we're lying.

"Why won't I remember my name?"

"Just go with it, gosh."

"Fine. Aztec."

Wow. I've never heard that name before. He's from a different country then.

"Last name?"

He rolled his eyes.

"Hunter."

"Where do you live?"

"Sphictley."

"That's where?"

"Blood-moon pack residence. Which you're currently on." He laced the last part with a low growl of frustration.

"Which country?"

"This is a country. Are you mad?" He turned to me, "Baby, can you send him out now. He seems rather incompetent."

"Just a few more questions"

"1."

"Ok. 1 more and he leaves."

Ed asked his question.

"Contact information for your parents?"

"You can find your Queen downstairs in the courtroom. Asking for the King after knowing what happened is disrespectful and I will be sure to see to your punishment."

Ed turned to me. "You should have called for me last night when he got injured. It is possible that it got worse through the course of the night."

"I did not want to disturb you; it was pretty late."

"I am at your service. No time is too late or early, sir."

"Plus, it didn't seem as bad."

"Anything else I should know of?"

"It wouldn't stop bleeding. It took a long time to stop."

"So he probably lost a lot of blood as well. I'll just take a blood sample to check for anything that could cause him not to clot and I'll run it in the system see if we find a DNA match."

"Ok" I told the stranger to let Ed take a sample of blood and he reluctantly agreed. It appears as if he did not know what a blood test is.

"I'll have the results ready for you this afternoon, sir."

"Ok, Ed. Just buzz and I'll let you in."

Now to keep him occupied until then would be problematic.

I left to go heat up some food and heated up an extra one as an afterthought. I guess he could use some food.

"Here, it's fried rice." It was the closest bowl, and I didn't want to search through containers to find the one labelled 'breakfast'.

"I don't want food."

"Aren't you hungry?"

"For you."

Seriously! You'd think he was on an aphrodisiac or something with how his every thought is something pertaining to sex. "Gosh, just eat. The food. The food. Eat the food." Fuck he had me thinking nonsense now too.

He still looked skeptical.

"If I wanted to kill you, I'd have done it last night not wait till you're conscious to poison you. That's so cowardly anyway."

"Oh, not you sweetheart. Someone else could've with how many people are in here."

"I can assure you that I watched this heat up and no one intercepted me on the way here."

"You didn't cook it though."

"But I know who did and she had every chance to kill me in the last 25 years."

"But it wasn't cooked for now, was it?"

"You know what? Suit yourself."

I ensured that I took the first bite from the bowl in front of him. He can sulk here in silence. Not long after, the room door opened, and he walked out. I saw the exact moment he realized what I've been trying to tell him all morning and I did take some amount of pleasure in watching him raise his guards.

"Oh, so now he values his life."

He shot me a nasty look.

"Who the fuck are you and where have you brought me?"

"Your savior, and this is my house. Impressive right?"

He actually looked around, taking in the area opposite his room which had a window with a 2-seat table in front for guests. It was installed for chess, but I use it randomly.

"So, you've got great taste. I'm guessing you won't stain such an expensive looking floor?"

"I have a very experienced cleaner."

He smirked. So, his sense of humor isn't broken. Good to know.

"Ok then. Let's cut to the chase," he sat in the chair opposite mine, "Why am I in your house? Which territory am I on?"

"I found you passed out on a bench outside a bar with a bleeding head and brought you here. Should've left you actually, too problematic if this gets out." Lucky for you, you're gorgeous, I added under my breath.
