9 The Sudden Beginning

"Not Telling"

Vara was speechless, and before he could he retort, Menos snapped his finger. A crack 10 meters wide appeared on the floor below Vara. Menos waved his hand and with an innocent smile on his face.

"Bye-bye."

"You f#--"

Like an eye-opening, the crack split open engulfing Vara causing him to plummet straight through before he could finish his sentence. Once Vara went through, the split in space shut itself uptight and slowly phased away.

Menos chuckled to himself as he felt triumphant getting one last thing over Vara.

"?#$%@ *&^$*# $@!%^$."

An incoherent voice sounded from the void. It seemed as if it was coming from everywhere around Menos. Menos sighed.

"You know to tell him will do more harm than good. He's currently far too weak. He needs to grow first. Plus, he could die at any moment. There is no need to get so worked up for someone's who fate we can't even understand."

"...$# $%^& @!#. *& $$ $@%^$."

Menos rolled his eyes.

"Yes, you don't think I didn't notice what you did with those bracelets. One just happened to be a tiger. You clearly used my blood for that. Also, I didn't model them to be animals. In fact, all I could do was construct the brain before they were so rudely taken away from me."

Menos snapped at the void. He was clearly still angry about losing his items. Silence filled the air. Only when Menos finally calmed down once again did the voice respond.

"&^$ %^#$% ^#^%. {)% $$ &!@ ^#^%"

Menos shook his head in exasperation.

"You are always too worrying and gentle. We are chaos, that is our very nature. We naturally go against the flow of order and towards anything chaotic. Such a life only brings about destruction, savagery, and betrayal. No normal man or woman would last long on this path. Only he can walk it alone... I hope he can actually survive that disgusting world."

Menos quietly opened another crack in the void. He reached in and grabbed a fishing rod that a small golden coin sparkling on the line. He waved his hand, creating a chair, and sat down on it. He then cast his line into the void, his figure emanating loneliness and sadness while the color drew close to him as if trying to comfort him.

Meanwhile, Vara was currently drying his clothes inside of a forest. The portal that he was dropped into opened up above this forest, and he fell right into a stream. Vara was currently muttering to himself as he sat next to a fire he created.

"I swear... I'm going to murder him. I don't care what he wants me to do anymore. Next time I see him, I'm going to fight him to the death."

"You are not his match. I am not sure how exactly strong my creator is, but he is far more powerful than you can even imagine."

Luna quickly sounded in his mind dousing his killing intent. He wasn't happy, but he knew that. After Menos grabbed his arms, he could clearly sense how vast a distance there was between them. However, that doesn't tell me he liked hearing it.

"Whatever. Luna, that psychopath created you, do you happen to know where we are?"

"That man did not leave me with anything, and I am not omniscient. You will have to find your own way."

Vara could feel her sass and could only sigh.

'How did I end up in this mess. I have an assistant who gives me attitude and a...'

As if a lightbulb went off in his head, he looked down towards his other bracelet.

"Hey, you can teleport right. Can you take me out of this forest?"

However, the tiger did not respond. The bracelet's gem eyes appeared to be dull as if it was completely lifeless.

"If someone would look at you right now, they would think you were crazy. He's asleep right now. When he wakes up, I don't know. Also, if you remember he will only transport you when he wants to. Asking him isn't going to do anything."

"How the hell is that helpful!?!?"

Vara exploded. The situation was too ridiculous. He knew he wouldn't be able to decide where to go, but he can't even decide when to go. What is the point of that? Vara sighed.

"Can you please tell me, what is that you do that helps me."

"You finally asked. I am here to assist you by storing and gathering. All I need is a source. For example,..."

Luna's gem eyes began glowing brightly. Vara was mesmerized by the beauty, but soon his vision became blocked by a screen.

"How? Arron? Chaos Lord? Chaos Star? Why are there so many question marks?"

The information in front of him felt like a blessing. Ever since he went through the transformation, he has been wondering what he had turned into. Now looking over the information, although it was incomplete, he could finally understand something about himself.

"You see this in your mind. There are question marks because I can't access that information. Your genetic code is oddly stably unstable. It keeps changing, yet it is in perfect balance. I was only able to obtain the most basic of your DNA.

Arron and Chaos Lord were what appeared. However, I am now connected to your genetic information, so whatever you learn, your bio will be updated. Don't worry, you have time to get adjusted. You have the rest of your life."

"...time..."

Vara paused. That word time ringed in his mind. Suddenly, he calmed down. Vara stood up; he stood up and took a deep breath. He looked up and saw trees and passed that, the big blue sky. The sky went on, endlessly.

Looking around, he noticed how green and beautiful his surroundings were. Closing his eyes, he could hear the stream flowing and the birds chirping. He could smell the forest air flora.

So much has happened to him in a short time. The rebirth might have taken a while, but to him, it all happened so quickly. Too quickly, in fact. He experienced near death, then a strange world, met Menos, experience unbelievable mental and physical pain, gain his sense of self, transformed into something that's not even human, and dropped into who knows where.

The world has been going at a million miles per second, and he was dragged along. Even when he finally got out of that space, his mind had not slowed down. He was casual in front of Menos because he gained a lot of confidence in himself and felt power and energy coursing through his veins.

Being dropped, though made him remember that he wasn't in this situation by choice, and he felt like he had no control. Not only that, his magical bracelets couldn't even help him. Honestly, it felt like they were making his situation worse.

However, when Luna said they had time. He realized that he did have time. He had the freedom to do whatever he wanted, and that felt invigorating.

So what he had a teleport bracelet that he could not control. Maybe it will take him to see things he wouldn't even have dreamed of. His other bracelet had sass, but that was alright since a little conflict kept things interesting.

"You know when something is right in front of you, and it is so obvious, yet you can't see it. Only when someone mentions it to you, do you finally notice it. Alright, I understand. Things aren't fun when they are too easy anyway. Let's see what we can dig up. First, I need to dry off and then let's try to get out of this forest and find a town."

There was no point in worrying about the past. What was done was done. When he sees Menos next, he will deal with it, but for now, it's time to enjoy himself.

He must remember he's no longer his past human self anymore. He is a Chaos Lord now, one who has free thinking.

'Huh, maybe that's why I can accept this now. Menos did say we think chaotically. I bet accepting and adapting is one of the perks. Well, as might adapt for the better. Goodbye, old self."

Vara walked towards his clothes, he left hanging and put them on. As he was about to set out on his journey, Luna sounded in his head.

"Uhh, master."

"What is it."

"Your genetic code updated."

"What?"

"And you might want to go look at yourself in the stream."

Curious at what Luna meant, he walked over to the stream and peered into it. His eyes widened as his reflection turned clear. He reached and touched his face to make sure his reflection was real.

"What!!!"

His reflection was very familiar. Wrinkles on wrinkles, eyes sunken and filled with despair, and his hair, black but faded like a used chalkboard. This was the face he had before he was reborn.

If it weren't for his pupil color and abnormally sharp teeth, he would have suspected that he reverted to his old body.

He couldn't believe it. He looked over his hand that was in front of his face, and his skin tone was no longer pale.

"Alright, this is a sick joke. I just said goodbye to my past self, and it rears its ugly head. Literally."

"Master check your uh profile."

A screen like the one before appeared in his mind. This time one of the question marks had disappeared as new information revealed itself.
