Chapter 3: Dinner

Knoxx POV

We entered the packed hall. Right after Ms. President entered the hall, everyone bowed their head and greeted her in unison.

"Good evening Ms. President !! Welcome to ACE Suites and Resort!"

I looked at the girl in front of me. Gone now the irritated girl in the elevator. She is now wearing her cold and stern face like what they said.

She surveyed everyone like a queen.And the shivering of the crowd can't scape in my eyes. I even heard some boys and even girls stuttered.

After a long silence, the girl smiled and greeted us back. Mrs. Brown walked to the front, beside Ms. President.

"Everyone, this is Miss Asteria Juarez, daughter of President George Juarez."

While Mrs. Brown is talking, I silently walked to my group. And when I'm finally there, I looked at the front just to find the president looking intently at me.

When she found my eyes, I winked at her. She looked away. I chuckled.

"As of now, she'll be handling the resort. Miss President, these are the staff. The security team."

Mrs. Brown pointed at the first row. They bowed and greeted her. She smiled in return.

"And these are the online team. They are responsible for the reservations and the emails."

Mrs. Brown pointed the second row. They also bowed and greeted her. She smiled and nodded.

"These are the chefs. And these are waiters and waitresses. And these are for the room service. Concierges and Front Desks Clerks. Drivers and Bellboys."

And at the mention of the 'Bellboys', she looked at me straight in the eyes. I arch my brows saying, 'what?'. Again, she looked away.

"My father needed a treatment and he have to go to Manila with my mother for better technologies. But he will help me handle the resort. He will still guide me. So I expect full support from you for the betterment of the resort. Can I expect that from all of you? "

"Of course Miss President!"

We said in unison.

"So let's work hand in hand for the future of the ACE Suites and Resorts and it's upcoming hotels."

She said to end the meeting. After that, the food was served. Everyone are trying to reach the president to introduce their selves. As if she'll remember their names.

I choose to stay in my table. I looked at the served foods in front of me. The girl who's serving smiled at me so I smiled back in return.

"HI Knoxx! "

She greeted . She smiled sweetly at me and liked her lower lip. I smirked. This reaction isn't new to me anymore.

"I thought... you're absent? I mean, I didn't saw you entered the lobby."

"Ah. I accompanied Mrs. Brown to the rooftop to welcome the president and walk her to her room."

I smiled sweetly at her. I saw her face reddened.

"A-ah. Okay. I gotta go. I still have to serve. Bye K-... noxx."

She stuttered . I chuckled. Girls, girls, girls. I was about to eat when I sensed that someone is looking at me.

I turned my back and meet the fuming mad eyes of our president. My smile faded.

Oh? What's with her? What did I do wrong this time?

She suddenly got up from her seat and said something to Mrs. Brown. Mrs. Brown nodded and was about to stand but Ms. President stopped her and said something.

I got up from my seat and walk to them because I've got curious. I saw Ms. President glanced my way and then back to Mrs. Brown again.

"It's really okay Mrs. Brown. I can handle myself."

I stood there, beside the president.

"Is there anything wrong President? Mrs. Brown?"

Ms. President jerk a bit when she heard me talk. My brows shot up. I am biting my lips to stop a smile. She closed her eyes and then looked at me like I am some disgusting thing.

"If that's what you want Miss President. Then please at least let Knoxx walk you to your room."

She sighed in defeat and smiled at Mrs. Brown.

"Knoxx, please accompany the president to her room. She wants to rest."

"Okay Mrs. Brown. This way Miss President."

I guided her to the door. She bid her goodbye to the people before facing the doorway.
