Chapter 1: New President
Knoxx POV
"Send my regards to your father."
He patted my shoulder twice. I nodded and smiled at him.
"Yes uncle . I'll tell him. I should go. I still have a duty this 2 in the afternoon."
"Tsk! Tsk! You know you don't need to work and live in that old, small house. For God's sake! We have a big mansion! But, I can't blame him."
He shrugged his shoulders and said, " It runs in the blood."
And we both laugh.
"I got to go uncle. The hotel is very busy right now since the chairman's daughter will gonna be the acting CEO for now since he is not in a good condition."
He nodded.
"Oh, I remember. But his daughter is still a minor. Oh well... Take care, Knoxx."
"I will, uncle."
I bid my goodbye and drive my big bike home. I immediately take a brisk shower, wore my clothes, some perfume and I'm ready to go.
I'm working at the "ACE Suites and Resort" as a bell boy. My house is exactly in front of the sea. And the hotel I'm working on is just beside my house but it will be difficult to walk in that way because of the rock formations. So, it would be more easy if I'll choose to go in the main road. Far, but safe.
I entered the hotel's lobby and found everyone so busy.
"Knoxx!"
I heard someone calling me so I tried to find where the voice is coming from. But before I could turn my back, I was dragged by a hand to the corners of the lobby.
"Why are you late? Dude! I heard from Annalise you were with Cassandra yesterday. So, how was it? "
Kevin, one of my workmates asked me. I smirked at him.
"Woaahhh!! That's our Knoxx!!"
We laughed. Henry Dela Merced, one of the guests and also my cousin, joined our group.
"You're still at it huh? I thought you're the most innocent between us cousins but I think, we got it all wrong!"
We all laughed at his remark. Even though we are in the corner, we are still creating a scene since we are a bit big crowd.
After a while, everyone go to their assigned works while I remained in the lobby. Yesterday, I was asked by our manager to help her welcome the president.
I heard some staff greeted and mentioned 'Mrs. Brown' so I turn around and when I saw the hotel's manager, I bowed and greet her politely.
"Good afternoon Mrs. Brown."
She nodded and also greeted me.
"Knoxx, everyone is so busy. Please help me welcome the president and carry her things to her room."
"Okay Mrs. Brown."
We entered the elevator and pressed the number 15. Oh? I thought the president is taking a land travel? Why are we heading to the rooftop?
My question was answered when I saw the chopper in the helipad. We're just right in time.
My hair was blown by the chopper. It is slightly hitting my eyes. But I didn't mind it since I am curious of the president. I remember my uncle mentioned that she was still a minor. And I also remembered my work mates mentioned that she was a snob, stern, and cold.
The door opened and a sophisticated but snob looking woman showed up. Wearing a black corporate dress with a matching pumps finished her outfit. Everything about her screams elegance.
I can't help but admire her beauty. She doesn't look like a minor to me anymore.
Suddenly, the girl looked at me. Her brows shot up and a small smile formed in her lips.
I was in dazed when suddenly, I heard a loud scream calling my name. And that's when I realized that I've been staring the president for a long time.
"Knoxx!! What are you doing?! Help the president! Immediately! "
I immediately held the president's arm and guided her. I slightly bowed my head and said my apologies.
"I'm sorry Ms. President."
"No worries. I can handle myself." Her voice was sweet and formal. While she's talking, I took that as a chance to look at her again. She caught my eyes catching a glimpse of her face.
I looked away. Somehow, I can't look at her straight in the eyes. I feel like I'll loose my mind if that will happen.
I looked at her again. My eyes widened when I saw that she was already staring at me. Just waiting for me to look at her again. She pouted to hide a smile. Damn! Those lips! I want to kiss those lips!
