III.

Jangmi does not wait for the bell to finish ringing as she runs out of the classroom, slinging her bag on her shoulder.

I wonder if he's still mad. She frowns at the unwanted thought. She rushes through the crowd to the parking lot. She had informed Jihu beforehand that she had someone picking her up.

"Minseok?" She calls out, furrowing her eyebrows, looking around cautiously. She jumps as someone places their hand on her shoulder. She turns around abruptly.

"You scared me." A chuckle leaves her throat.

"Let's go." He says, taking her bag from her with his lips wrapped around a lollipop. Jangmi follows him, sitting beside him in the shotgun seat and Minseok gets inside after her in the driver's seat.

She heaves a sigh, wondering if she should speak her mind.

"What's wrong?" He asks, placing a hand on her thigh as he notices she's quieter than usual.

"Oh uh," her brain shot circuits, noticing his hand, "well I-I just–" she cuts herself off, fiddling with the bracelet Rina gave her as a birthday present.

"Mhmm." He nods for her to continue, keeping his eyes on the road.

"A-are you.. still mad?" She finally asks, gazing out of the window, watching as the sky gets dotted with white fluffy clouds as the sun waves them goodbye, slowly setting down.

"What?" She hears Minseok chuckle in disbelief. "Flower, did you really think I would still be mad over that?"

" Well uhm it's just.. you-" she jumbles, closing her eyes, " you just seemed so mad when I said that." Her lips unconsciously form a pout.

Minseok feels his lips curling into a smile as he throws the stick of the lollipop outside. His eyes stuck on her pout, wanting to kiss it away.

" I'm not mad. I can understand why you said that, you were just worried about me." He consoles, tracing patterns across her thigh he placed his hand on. He reaches for her hand which was continuously fiddling with the bracelet.

He intertwines her fingers with his. Their fingers fitting together as if they were pieces of puzzles. He leans over, placing a quick peck on her lips, kissing her pout away.

Her eyes open in surprise as she slowly sinks in her seat, trying to hide her red face.

"Minseok." She whines out, hiding her face with her hands, not noticing how their hands were joined which causes Minseok to lean towards her even more.

"Hey, don't be like that. It's been four months since we've been together." He smiles, focusing on the road, halting the car as it comes to a red light.

"Yeah, thankfully none of them have found out about us yet." She gives a half suppressed smile.

"It will be my funeral the day they find out." He shakes his head," but god, it's worth it." Her heart swells up as she reaches to bring his face closer to hers by wrapping her left hand around his neck.

" It's more than worth it." She whispers against his lips, closing the distance between them. She can taste the cherry flavour as their lips move in sync, fitting together perfectly as if the moon has completed its phases.

The pair dancing together in their own world together like their lips are currently. A honk from behind breaks their almost heated kiss.

"We should go." The duo slips out small smiles.
