First Hollow Kill

In the infirmary after being treated and bandaged, Ichigo and Chad were lying on their respective beds and watching a thriller movie on the television. The Nurse had told them to rest a bit so how could they refuse?

When the movie had taken a pause from its thriller path and become a bit bland Ichigo looked towards Chad and then his eyes went towards the parakeet which also had its eyes on the television.

"Chad, you know there's something wrong with that parakeet right?" Ichigo said inviting Chad's attention.

"Mhm, I know." Chad nodded and looked down towards the parakeet in the cage lost in his thoughts.

"I don't say anything else except this. If you're in trouble, find me. I'll be able to help." Ichigo said as he looked towards Chad.

Hearing him Chad too turned his head towards him and looking at the conviction that was hidden in his eyes he nodded and said "Alright, I'll keep that in mind."

The room soon became quiet as the two focused their attention back to watching the television. The boy inside the parakeet couldn't help but feel uncomfortable feeling this silence after a discussion about him had ended but he didn't voice it out.

The two of them spent the first half of the school chilling at the infirmary only and went back to attend the class lectures.

Tatsuki, Orihime and the rest were glad to see them back and asked why it took them so long to which they told them about them just taking their time at the infirmary bed watching a movie which made Asano and Kojima whine at their own bad luck.

"Why wasn't I hurt too?" Asano said in a depressed mood as the aura around him became all dull seeing which Kojima started placating him. The break was soon over and after eating their lunch the classes started once again.

When the class was over Tatsuki went to Orihime to accompany her back to her home since she didn't want her to get hurt again by getting into some accident. Chad took the parakeet and was about to head out of the school when Ichigo who had changed his mind about seeing things from the backseat decided to accompany him.

Chad at first refused but seeing howstubborn Ichigo was he relented. The two of them headed towards Chad's home when on the way the parakeet started flapping its wings and started shouting "It's coming, It's coming."

Hearing this both Ichigo and Chad looked at their surroundings to see what the parakeet was talking about. Nothing looked abnormal to Chad but that was not the case for Ichigo. He saw a black portal opening behind and from it an ugly looking hollow escaped.

This was Ichigo's first time fighting a hollow so he didn't want to take chances. He just looked a cursory view at his surrounding not wanting to make it obvious to the hollow that he could clearly see him.

"Oh, who is this new human beside that big guy? His soul smells very similar to that of a Shinigami but it also smells very different…is that really a human? Who cares, I like trying new delicacies." The hollow said to himself as he decided to target Ichigo.

The parakeet could clearly see the Hollow and was behind them and shouted at them "Run! He's behind you!" Hearing this Chad increased his vigilance and looked around him while straining his eyes. He already knew that the parakeet was cursed so he linked the hollow to a ghost and tried his best to try and see it.

Seeing that the two humans couldn't see him, the hollow decided to have some fun and instil fear in them before he preyed on them. With his claws, he scratched the boundary walls around them leaving huge scars the debris was directed towards them.

"Let's go to an open area," Ichigo shouted and started running after both he and Chad successfully dodged the debris that was thrown towards them.

Hearing Ichigo, Chad too started following him while looking back from time to time trying his best to sense this invisible enemy.

The hollow was laughing sadistically seeing them as he said "Run yes! Run more! It ain't fun if you don't." but the voice was only audible to Ichigo and the parakeet. One got annoyed by it while the other got scared.

After running for a while they finally were in an open area. This area would allow him to look out for those weird exploding bugs that the hollow had with him if he used them but that was a plan if his first plan of surprise attack fails. He planned to act like a sheep and when the wolf was near him he'll use Shakkaho on him and kill him.

Seeing that the two humans were now not moving the hollow grinned as he said "What? Can't run anymore?" He slowly stepped closer to the two. He wanted to see the fear in their eyes from up close. Seeing this the parakeet kept on shouting while flapping its wings "RUN RUN RUN."

Ichigo saw the hollow slowly approaching them from Chad's side and tensed up his body. The closer he was the more rapidly the parakeet flapped its wings. When the hollow was almost a few centimetres away from them Ichigo shouted "Chad, LEFT HOOK!"

Hearing this Chad like a robot who had got a signal strikes a strong left hook right on the hollow's face leaving him. Chad's strength was not something to joke about as the hollow fell back on the ground and cried in pain.

"Chi chi chi chi you bastards can see me? Yo-" Before he could fully stand up on his feet he saw a huge red ball that was forming right in front of his face at point-blank range. He wanted to resist but that's when he heard Ichigo's voice "Hado 31# Shakkaho"

The huge ball of fire filled the hollow's vision leaving him stunned as not even in his wildest dreams had he imagined this ordinary human to be feigning that he could not see him. The body of the hollow disintegrated into the surrounding after a while which made Ichigo sigh in relief.

Seeing the small crater that had been made on the ground Chad couldn't help but ask "Ichigo what did you do? Is that ghost gone?"

"Well…it's a spell. An attack spell to be precise and yes, it's gone." Ichigo said to which Chad nodded not asking anything more.

Ichigo then asked Chad for the parakeet saying that he would be able to help him. Chad didn't refuse and after saying a final goodbye to it he gave it to Ichigo. The two of them soon separated and went back to their home.
