You're His Everything

"Your Highness, who is that woman from yesterday? You really don't know her?" General Cassius asked the Prince who was staring out of the windows.

Why did he keep on staring at the outdoors as if he observed something?

"I don't know her, but she's the one who sent those men from last night," Karium Maselli replied and pointed his chin at the outdoors. "The ones who look for me today are even more than yesterday."

"They still look for you?" General Cassius confusedly asked and walked towards the windows. When he saw the men with the portrait of the Prince, he let out a sigh. "While we are in Avaria, we can't afford that. Seems like you really offend someone powerful."

Prince Karium shifted his gaze to General Cassius and the latter was very quick to turn away!

"I think you talk too much ever since we left Welahan," Karium Maselli remarked yet his face still remained nonchalant. "Aren't you always aloof even more than I am?"

Just when General Cassius was about to respond to him, Prince Karium said, "I don't do anything to offend her but... she already pointed her sword at me twice."

"Twice?" General Cassius blinked in surprise. "Then what did you do?"

"Nothing."

"You just let her point you with a sword?" Cassius uttered with disbelief. "What if she actually hurts you?"

"Do you think I will let her do that?" Prince Karium simply asked the General back with a subtle smile on his lips. However, he narrowed his eyes when he recalled the sight he witnessed yesterday. "Besides, she seems quite broken."

He saw himself in her but... he refused to say this to General Cassius.

"You talked like you know her well," General Cassius quickly said to the Prince.

In fact, he was feeling quite flustered. He had known the Prince for years but... it's his first time talking about a woman!

An unidentified woman from Avaria on top of that?!

Prince Karium didn't respond and walked away from the window. Then he took a seat on the chair. "Seems like it will be hard for me to go out today as well," he remarked.

"Why don't you try solving it with her?" General Cassius suggested, turning his body in the direction of the Prince.

"I already try that yesterday." He recalled their conversation yesterday and shook his head. "She ended up sending more men to look for me."

"I think you ended up offending her more," General Cassius said without much thought but when he noticed the stern gaze of the Prince, he quickly shut his mouth.

Karium Maselli gave a quick thought and said, "I will look for her again today. Let's see what she have to say."

"Are you going to the forest again today?"

Queen Helen Amiel watched Princess Yara as the latter was preparing to leave the palace again. The Queen was quite worried when she learned that the Princess planned to visit the forest again for 3 consecutive days but... strangely, Yara didn't seem to be in a bad mood.

What was going on with her?

Yara Amiel turned to the Queen before she walked to her. Then she holds her arm. "Don't worry, sister-in-law. I'm only going there to handle some business."

"Business?" Queen Helen asked, confused.

Princess Yara nodded. "I won't take long. So, don't worry about me."

Yara walked towards the bed and sat down to wear the leather boots which covered till just below her knees while the Queen stared at her.

"If it's a business matter, then that means it should be okay to have someone accompany you."

The Princess was more than quick to shift her gaze back to the Queen when she heard what she said. "But -"

"Don't you say that it's business matters? You don't ask to be alone," Queen Helen simply said with a little smile on her lips.

"Yes, but -"

"Is business really your purpose?"

Princess Yara remained quiet for a while before she sighed in defeat. "Yes, Your Majesty. I won't lie to you." She made a deliberate paused and added, "I will go with Andrus."

Queen Helen nodded with a smile. If Yara was really willing to bring someone with her, that means she wasn't visiting the forest due to regret in the past.

The Princess wasn't someone who was willing to let others see her weakness, especially her subordinates.

The Queen felt more than relief, but... what business was the Princess talking about? She was curious but she never cornered her too much as she knew her well. So, she decided to not ask her about it.

"I hope you don't return too late," she calmly said. "Your brother will be worried."

"Alright," Princess Yara replied. "I think you and my brother makes a great pair. You both tend to over worry." She glanced at the Queen as her lips curved into a playful smile.

The Queen already decided to leave her alone but when she heard her teasing her, she chuckled. Then she walked towards her and sat on the bed beside her. "For your brother, you're his everything. So, you automatically became such a person for me too. We care about you the most."

"I know," Yara Amiel promptly responded.

This was one of her reasons for living this way. She was the one whom King Malon cared about the most. So, she decided to protect the kingdom with all her might, hoping that there would never come a day when her brother has to be torn between the kingdom and her.

It was the same reason why she felt reluctant to marry, especially to another kingdom. She believed that as long as she and Avaria were one, her brother will never face a problem because of her.

"Alright. I will leave now," Queen Helen calmly said to Yara. "Be careful while you are in the forest and don't forget to bring Andrus with you as you promised."

Yara Amiel nodded and Queen Helen left her chamber. After a while, the Princess was all set to leave and she went to the Muric Forest with Andrus.....
