chapter two (2)...

Two days later, Annabelle's aunt Mrs Claudia Robert came to the hospital on hearing about the ghastly incident which Anna had with her parents.

" ma'am, please how can I be of help to you?" Olivia the receptionist asked Mrs Claudia who was looking around confused.

" uhhm... I'm here to see Annabelle Higgins" she answered.

" okay, give me a minute" Olivia requested as she glanced through the hospital file and directed Mrs Claudia to the ward Annabelle was in. getting to the door, she knocked and a voice from the room questioned

" who's it?"

" can I come in?" Olivia asked as she walked in. Annabelle on seeing her aunt was quite excited.

" Aunt Claudia!" she called in excitement but in a low voice.

" how are you doing baby?" she asked while checking her temperature with her palm placed on Anna's forehead.

" I'm fine aunt " Anna replied with a faint smile.

" I'll be on my way now, I've got somethings to attend to, you can spend some time with your aunt, alright?"

nurse Clara said as she left with Olivia,Anna nodded her head with a smile.

" okay then, thanks for keeping her company" Mrs Claudia said.

" aunt, I've been waiting for Mom and Dad but they haven't showed up yet" Anna complained

" it's alright okay"

"okay"

Mrs Claudia bought a hamburger and fruit juice for her.

Few hours later...

Nurse Clara came into Anna's ward.

" doctor Steve wants to speak with you ma'am" she said to Mrs Claudia calmly.

" okay...dear I'll be back alright?" she said to Anna while patting her hair.

" okay aunt" she replied with a smile.

Mrs Claudia left to meet the doctor in his office, while the nurse kept Anna company.

In the doctors office.

there was a knock on the door.

" yes...come in " doc. Steve instructed.

Mrs Claudia came in and was offered a seat.

" Mrs Claudia Robert" doc.steve called to confirm she's the one.

" yes sir , good day sir" she greeted.

" sir, how's Anna parents doing, are they alright?" she asked feigning worry.

" that's the reason I wanted to see you"

" what's wrong sir?, hope there isn't a problem?"

" there is... Annabelle Higgins has quite hit her head during the incident which occurred, she's mentally down and might act Willy - nilly if she hits her head again...for now she would be receiving treatment to know if she would get better." doc. Steve explained.

" sir what do you mean?, Annabelle has a brain tumor!" Mrs Claudia exclaimed.

" not quite,... she would get better under treatment, you don't have to worry,... but we lost her parents, she shouldn't know of that... her condition might get worse" doc.steve said.

" what?" with her eye brows furrowed high.

**Her parents are dead ...yes, finally...I guess I'm going to finish Anna myself, ( she laughed) ...sheesh...all this unsuccessful plans of mine**

she thought to herself.

" Mrs Claudia" doc. Steve called, but she didn't respond. He tapped her shoulder and she jerked, coming back to reality, she shed a lot of crocodile tears while cursing death.

" it's alright Mrs..calm down alright" doc. Steve consoled her.

" Anyway here are the prescribed drugs,go down to the second floor by your right... or rather let nurse Clara take you there, the drugs would be given to you" doc. Steve said to Mrs Claudia before she left.

Anna was later discharged some weeks later.
