“You put away the family photo?”
“Hmm?” Both of them stared at me before turning their eyes to the empty bookshelf. I remembered that their family photo was there. It was the first thing that made me realize that Dyvan had a twin brother. “I saw that it was taking up space, so I put it in the room.”
“A family photo can’t be taking up space, Dyvan. It’s an important item that you should keep in the most visible place.” I was reminded of the photo of my parents on my desk. I loved being able to wake up and see their smiles even though that photo had been taken a long time ago. “Or is it because you didn’t get along with them, so you don’t want to see family pictures?”
“They died before we could not get along.”
“Ah…”
“But that’s not important now, because my only family is you and my brother.”
“Your parents are dead?” I asked, raising an eyebrow. I was surprised to hear that. “I thought they were just living somewhere else. Dylan just said that your brother…”
