“You put away the family photo?”

“Hmm?” Both of them stared at me before turning their eyes to the empty bookshelf. I remembered that their family photo was there. It was the first thing that made me realize that Dyvan had a twin brother. “I saw that it was taking up space, so I put it in the room.”

“A family photo can’t be taking up space, Dyvan. It’s an important item that you should keep in the most visible place.” I was reminded of the photo of my parents on my desk. I loved being able to wake up and see their smiles even though that photo had been taken a long time ago. “Or is it because you didn’t get along with them, so you don’t want to see family pictures?”

“They died before we could not get along.”
