Is it really a study session?
Lu Yanjun tried to focus on his lectures for the rest of day while the memories of Han Yuze hugging him will be deeply embedded inside his mind. Yanjun tried to avoid Yuze's eye contact but he will unconsciously look at his eyes while lecturing. Yuze sat in the front not because he was near-sighted but he wanted to look at Yanjun at a close distance. Yuze couldn't forget the moment when he hugged his professor. The warm and tingling feeling were bubbling inside of him.
As the midterm gets closer, Yuze didn't feel like studying at all. He dozed off while other professors were lecturing but he never dozed off in Yanjun's classes. Before study sessions, students will usually have an hour break. Yanjun noticed Yuze wasn't doing so well in his other classes, he asked Yuze to follow him to his office.
"What is it?" Yuze asked while Yanjun looked at him sternly, "Yuze, your exams are coming soon. You need to prepare it well. I heard you weren't doing so good in your other classes. Is anything bothering you?"
"No, Professor Lu. I just don't want to study. I'm a pianist, I'm not good with science." Yuze looked down at the floor while Yanjun adjusted his glasses. He turned to him and asked, "Yuze, do you want me as your tutor?" Yuze looked stunned and he didn't know what to say. He stuttered and replied, "Y-Y-You want to be my tutor? Am I hearing it right?" Yuze looked at Yanjun for confirmation to see whether he was joking or not.
"I'm not joking if you are wondering." Yanjun replied as if he read Yuze's mind.
"Professor Lu, I would love to have you as my tutor. When can we start?" Yuze was getting excited and his whole body was dancing with joy. Yanjun slightly smiled then cleared his throat, "After class at 5 PM. Meet me inside my apartment." Yuze nodded and bowed, "Professor Lu, thank you so much! See you soon!"
As classes ended for all students, Yuze rode the bus to Professor Lu's apartment in a jiffy. He couldn't wait to spend time with him. After several minutes, Yuze saw Yanjun in the wheelchair. At that moment, Yuze made up his mind. He wishes to take away whatever pain or loneliness he's having. When they entered Yanjun's apartment room, Yuze was mesmerized by the size of the apartment. The living room had several wide vertical glass window with an L-shaped sofa in front of it. On the opposite side, there was a flat screen TV on the wall. Kitchen was on the left side and the bedroom was on the right side. Even Yanjun's bed was king-sized.
"Professor Lu, I never knew your apartment was this big. Do you live by yourself?" Yuze was curious and Yanjun nodded. Yanjun navigated his wheelchair back to his bedroom after giving Yuze a tour.
"Yuze, you can place your stuff on the sofa. Only bring your books and other necessary material into my bedroom. I'll be ready in a few minutes. Feel free to get some water from the fridge." Yuze nodded and went to the kitchen. He was shocked by the amount of vegetables and fruits that was in the fridge, "Professor Lu, what do you usually eat everyday? I don't see any fruits or vegetables." Yanjun wheeled himself to the kitchen and replied, "I wish I can cook. But I can't even get up. I usually don't eat fruits. I only drink water, eating some sandwich and get some microwaveable food." Yuze closed the fridge and took out his phone.
"Professor Lu, I'll cook for you tonight. I'll order some groceries for you and lots of fruits. Don't complain since I'm here." Yuze quickly ordered and Yanjun cleared his throat again, "Are you here to cook or here to study?"
"Both!" Yuze answered proudly, "The groceries will come in 30 minutes. We can study for a bit."
Yanjun and Yuze went inside the bedroom and closed the door. Yuze got out his study materials and books while Yanjun stayed beside him. Yuze started to study chemistry since it was one of his worst subjects. After a few minutes of explanations from Yanjun, Yuze felt like he learned a full-year course. Of course, not only that, Yanjun also printed out practice questions that Yuze could do.
"Make sure to complete this before Friday. You have three more days." Yanjun gave him handouts to practice from. Yuze was getting used to it and he started to understand much better than before.
"Professor Lu, you're amazing! Your explanation made everything so simple!" Yuze quickly studied the rest of the materials since he got a hang of it. After thirty minutes of study, their groceries arrived by the door. Yuze looked at Yanjun who already dozed off. He quietly got out of the chair then grabbed a blanket from Yanjun's bed. Yuze carefully placed it on Yanjun while making sure he doesn't wake him up. Just as he was about to leave and cook, Yanjun fell asleep on Yuze's chest. He was unable to move but Yuze really did enjoy this moment. He felt so warm and fuzzy on the inside that he smiled. He gently touched Yanjun's shoulder then gently patted him and stayed with him until he woke up. This is the moment Yuze realized that his feeling was something more than just plain obsession.
