Dealing with Zhang Fei

Yun picked Huang Zhong and the others up on his way towards the exit of the mansion while leaving Wei Yan behind. Yun walked towards the Zhao Manor and picked his brother up before walking into the busy market street.

"Why are we going to the market?" asks Zhao Hua as the group was quite serious except for Lu Bu and his older brother.

"We are going to punish someone that drinks too much and breaks the law. If he wants to be a rascal then he should be it when he isn't a member of my army," says Yun with a smile but Hua knew his brother and that smile was a smile that gave him chills since they were young.

"You are not going to kill him, right?" asks Yun a little nervous about the situation when Huang Zhong and the others now realized that possibility.

"No, even if I should," says Yun wanting to kill Zhang Fei but couldn't do so yet.

He needs Zhang Fei for the whole Xiapi Incident or it won't happen and he needs it to happen so he can recruit Lu Bu because now Lu Bu wouldn't want to enter his services since Yun wasn't a warlord yet.

"Is he that important to you?" asks Lu Bu curious as Yun shakes his head.

"No, but to someone else that takes his duty seriously. If it wasn't for him I would have killed that bastard the moment I encountered him on the battlefield a long time ago," says Yun as he was talking about Guan Yu.

Yun didn't know how Guan Yu fell into Liu Bei's honey trap but to win him over he had to keep Zhang Fei alive as he was Guan Yu's sworn brother while opening his eyes that Liu Bei isn't interested in the well-being of the Empire but only in his own.

They walked down the street and people were looking at them while Yun had a warm smile on his face while waving his hand at them which made some of them bowed even if he wasn't the ruler of the city or county.

They arrived at the inn the three brothers were staying and Yun enters first seeing a drunk Zhang Fei with more wine on the table. Liu Bei was sitting across from him when he notices Yun's presence.

"It seems you are having fun," says Yun as he smiled at Liu Bei making him feel chills run down his spine.

"Of course," says Zhang Fei drunk not recognizing that it was Yun talking.

"Dian Wei and Gan Ning, pull them out of the inn. If they don't want to join the morning practice then they don't need to sleep like human beings but like dogs," says Yun as Dian Wei puts his hand on Zhang Fei's shoulder.

"Get your hand from me!" shouts Zhang Fei as he moved his arm thinking he would free himself only to find out that Dian Wei's hand was still on his shoulder.

"What did you say?" asks Dian Wei as he strengthened his grip on Zhang Fei's shoulder making him feel pain while Gan Ning only looked at Liu Bei who stood up right away.

Dian Wei dragged Zhang Fei out of the inn while Yun asks, "Why aren't you practicing with the others?"

"Because you aren't my superior!" shouts Zhang Fei angry when Huang Zhong wanted to correct Zhang Fei by using his fist when Yun stopped him.

"I am your superior until the Emperor says so or do you want to go against the Emperor?" asks Yun as now Lu Bu was looking seriously at Zhang Fei.

Lu Bu is loyal to the Imperial Throne at the moment and was quite angry that Zhang Fei was defying the Emperor openly. He suddenly pulled one of the halberds which were hanging on his back.

He wanted to decapitate Zhang Fei right there where he was standing and Zhang Fei could feel Lu Bu's killing intent making him nervous until Yun placed his hand on Lu Bu's shoulder stopping him.

Lu Bu knew he can't overpower Yun. He calms down when Yun lets go of Lu Bu's shoulder before Yun walks forward towards Zhang Fei and he pulls a knife out.

Zhang Fei thought it was over when he suddenly feels the knife running over his skin as Yun placed it at Zhang Fei's forehead before moving it all over the skull removing all his hair which was on top of his head leaving the side and moves it again over one cheek.

Now Zhang Fei looked like a crazy person because his hair and beard were a mess. Yun then walks towards Liu Bei and does the same to him forcing them with this to remove their hair completely.

Yun then cleans his knife before putting it away while saying, "Next time it won't be your hair that gets removed but your entire line. I will make you eunuchs so you better run to the training ground and practice with the others, do you understand?"

"Yes!" shouts Zhang Fei as he saw how easily Yun cuts their hair without cutting their skin.

"Good, then move and if I find out that you drink or break military law again you are done. No more warnings only one simple cut and your balls will be gone," says Yun as Zhang Fei was suddenly holding his balls and he wasn't the only one.

Some of the people on Yun side were feeling their groins get smaller as Yun looks at Gan Ning and Dian Wei while saying, "Take them to the training field. Everyone should see their punishment for slacking off."

"Yes, my lord," say Gan Ning and Dian Wei as they escorted both brothers to the training field that Yun's troops use to strengthen their coordination and formation as well as training their stamina and strength.

Only a few people of Yun's men can use Qi but they can't use Elemental Qi yet except for an even fewer number.

Yun and the others walked through the city as Yun wanted to see someone. They followed him when they arrived at a forge in which five blacksmiths were working with their apprentices.

The Grandmaster of the Smithery sees Yun and says, "Master Zhao, the first batch is ready. They are quite heavy but they should protect your men."

"Can I see one?" asks Yun as the Grandmaster nods and leads Yun inside when Yun says to the others, "I will be right back. Huang Zhong, you follow me. I want your opinion on this."

"Of course, my lord," says Huang Zhong as he followed Yun inside.

"What were they talking about?" asks Lu Bu as Hua just lifts his shoulders.

"My brother doesn't tell me everything only the important stuff I need to know. But going by what our troops need, I would say they made the first batches of shields that Yun wanted," says Hua as this was the only thing Hua could think about.

They still didn't have a cavalry since horses are quite expensive with Yun right now owning four made him look like a rich man when he was just coming over the rounds by doing some odd jobs for the guards like catching criminals or hunting wolves.

Yun wanted to find some puppies to raise them alongside the tigers since wolves are pack animals and are used to hunt together while tigers normally don't live in packs as they are doing at his house.

Yun was holding an iron shield which was heavy for the Grandmaster as Yun gave it to Huang Zhong after maneuvering it a bit.

"What do you think?" asks Yun as he couldn't feel how heavy it was.

"It is good but the men will need more strength training but a year or two training with those shields should make them adapt to the weight," says Huang Zhong as he was holding a round shield that covered his whole upper body and parts of his lower body.

"Good, I want to equip every single soldier with one of those shields," says Yun as the Grandmaster bows.

"I will inform my students. They will work day and night to finish this as early as possible," says the Grandmaster as Yun puts his hand on his shoulder.

"They also need rest. Take your time, you have a year to complete this contract," says Yun as the Grandmaster was happy that Yun wasn't putting them under too much pressure.

Yun was calculating and if Huang Zhong was right then the troops will be ready a year before the Emperor dies and Dong Zhuo takes over which made Yun happy if everything goes as calculated.

But Yun knew that not everything can go as planned as Huang Zhong puts the shield down and the Grandmaster leads them back out.

They reunited with the others and Yun says, "Let us return to the mansion. Hua, how about you inform Tang Shi to send some people to come here to get the package."

"Yes, brother," says Hua as he leaves right away.

Yun then begins to move as well with the others as they returned to the mansion where someone was waiting for him already.

"I don't have time for you, Guan Yu. If you want to say something make it fast," says Yun as Guan Yu nods.

"Why did you cut their hair?" asks Guan Yu as he seemed to not have heard the whole story.

"Your brothers have again not participated in the training with the others and were drinking in the inn. They will be sleeping outside the city in a tent as we did before in the North. This should make them reflect on skipping practice," says Yun as he passed Guan Yu when Lu Bu looked at him seriously.

"The drunk can call himself lucky. If it was me he would be dead for insulting the Emperor in public," says Lu Bu as Guan Yu looked at him seriously as well.

"And you are?" asks Guan Yu as both were staring at each other and tension was rising between both

"Lu Bu, son of Ding Yuan and Commander against the Xiongnu in the Bing Province. I am here because my friend invited me to his wedding," says Lu Bu as both were about to headbutt each other when Yun interrupts and pushes both away from each other.

"You should both stop before I send you flying out of my courtyard," says Yun as both stopped knowing who was the strongest of the three.

Yun then looked at Guan Yu and says, "You should return to the Volunteers Army. Even if I don't see them as my own men they should be trained for when we part ways."

"How do you know we will part ways?" asks Guan Yu confused when Yun smiles.

"I just know," says Yun mysteriously as he leaves Guan Yu standing there while he enters the mansion with the others.
