The Plan
I had a basic understanding that yeah they are going to penetrate through that barrier but I was not sure how it would go. I was having faith in both the big guys that yes they are strong but what if Seth himself come to stop us from finding out about it.
We held a meeting to plan about how to execute all of this. This was a though job so we need to consider every possible scenario that we could.
All the members gathered in the underground hideout to discuss. Their were Garrick, Ryan, Marc, all three relic users and also 10-15 men and women who were afraid but ready to do this because everyone was just trying to survive and human instinct gives us the warning about something bad before it even happens.
And by the looks on many people's faces I could just assume that many of them are not going to survive because we don't know what could happen their we could just assume and move on.
"So welcome and thanks to all of your for joining in this plan to penetrate through to barrier. We are doing this to get help from outside world." said Ryan
"We will reach towards the North-East direction because after a lot of scouting we can say that the north-east has the least number of monsters around but we need to reach their through enemy territory." said Garrick.
"I was thinking that it would be a great idea because if we do it, it can free us of course but it can also free the monsters to roam all over our world. And we are already disconnected from the outside world that we don't even know what is happening outside or is it even safe anymore." I said.
"That's a valid point you made their Davis. Your concern is natural and many of you might have thought something like that too." Garrick replied.
"So let me tell you the secret about this whole island that Seth is controlling. We can't say for sure but the time hear seems off. The sun arise then it sets but it always felt off. It feels like a distortion sometimes. Like all of this is not real in sense this is either not real or not our world." said Garrick.
"Like we are in another world or something you want to say. *laughs* Oh Captain. Isn't it too much to think and understand. We should move towards the discussion of the plan because that is what needs the most importance." said Marc.
"I agree with Marc with this that We must know what to do but I will also say that we should also must have an idea about our surroundings and what we are dealing with." I said.
"Well I can't simply disagree with you. At least there is someone who understands something I say thanks for that Davis. But some of you dumb fucks, just think and try to understand what I am saying sometime. Ofcourse not referring to you captain. You may continue." Marc replied.
"So let's discuss. First we will leave from our base in two days towards the North-East and it will take us 2-3 days to reach our destination so we are going with a preparation of needed food, weapons, medication and any useful things." said Garrick.
"Our journey will be difficult because the route will have to encounter the monsters so we need to be ready for that." said Ryan.
"But if we have the scouts why don't we just find a route with the minimum chances of encountering the monsters." Me and Marc both said simultaneously.
"I must say I am really liking yet getting a little annoyed that both our thinking is mostly alike." said Marc.
"We have considered that as well so we have a few routes from which we can reach but the tie taken to reach will vary." Garrick replied.
"We need all of you to prepare yourself physically and mentally for this journey." said Ryan.
"*laughs* This is saying the one with just power and no brains." said Marc.
"You can just shut your mouth or else Ryan might crush you with his shield." Garrick replied.
"And to that He is strong so don't just go on trolling everyone." I said.
"You were great when you were talking about something that I had in mind but you are just like others just somewhat better." Marc replied.
"*smiles* I would gladly take it as a compliment from someone who has great brains." I replied.
After this all the members cheered and left that place to do their preparation and finally I got Garrick to talk with me without anyone being their.
We started talking about normal things then Garrick said. "So you were trained by a master swordsmen named Shimon. I don't know if I can recall that name but I am yet not at that level to call myself a master swordsmen but I can definitely can reach that level with the use of my relic."
"I understand that. Still I want to see how strong the leader of this group is before we execute that plan." I said.
"Hmm" Garrick replied.
"I know I am asking too much or I am not at that level to demand this but I want to see what I can do in front of such a strong opponent. I will help me to train and to see how well I can handle strong attacks of the monsters." I replied.
"Very well you asked for it. But their is one thing. If I hit you once then this all will be over and if you hit me first I will accept whatever you say." said Garrick.
"Don't you think this will be too much." I said.
"A battle won't feel like a battle if their is nothing on the stake. And if you are confident, then you should not feel or think like that." Garrick replied.
He takes out his sword relic which he called "Sword of Warrior or the Gladiators Blade ". As he took i out an armour just covered that hand which I felt like a symbiote of some kind but it was hard and was an extension of that sword relic.
It was a black sword and nothing like any regular blade. I was maintaining distance from him and was trying to think of a way to start my attack.
I charged Garrick head on just like what I did against Ryan. While he charged towards me, I started my zigzag run so he stopped in his tracks. I saw this chance and I took a quick turn and attacked towards his abdomen area but he blocked it.
"You are quite someone attacking to give me a fatal blow even if you said it will not be serious." said Garrick.
"You said to yourself that it won't feel like a battle without any stakes so this is my resolve to give my all." I replied.
"Alright then. Let me get serious too now." said Garrick.
While saying that he charged towards me and I moved towards him head on he might expect that I would do the same thing again but this time I blocked him head on.
"Ah! I was sure that you would do that again." said Garrick.
"I guess that much so I charged head on too." I replied.
"BUT... This is what someone else would have said." said Garrick.
He pushed me back and swung his blade towards my legs but I barely managed to dodge it.
"So with this I can assume that tricks won't get me anywhere in this fight." I said.
"Having tricks is not a bad thing but you must also have strength, the brains to understand what your opponent might be thinking and also how to counter any attack in any situation possible." Garrick replied.
He is strong that much I already knew but he also has the mentality of a warrior, a knight and that's why I guess that the Sword relic suits him and it is a perfect match for him.
We fought for an hour and yet I was not able to strike him once. My every attack got countered on me yet I managed to not get any attacks hit me.
He was not fazed from all of my intense attacks and on the other hand I was struggling to even stand now.
But I could not just give up because I was taking this fight as if I was fighting a monster and that guy is a monster so L can't just let all this end here.
I got up and rushed for an attack again but my body was not cooperating and this time I slashed me and I was not able to dodge it. And with that I lost that battle.
"*pants* I... I lost. So I am not good enough to fight against any monster alone." I said.
"I would not say that because monsters might be strong but they don't have as such brains that can counter your quick attacks and they don't have any complex tactics so your attacks might reach them." Garrick replied.
"You think so? *pants*" I asked.
"Yeah.But you still lack the conviction to kill. You were subconsciously holding to attack me or you were afraid to kill anyone. If you can't leave all of this on the battlefield you can't survive." Garrick replied.
"OK. I get that. Next time it will definitely be different." I said.
"So now that you have lost you need to do one thing that I will tell you." said Garrick.
"Hey! this is not what we decided." I replied.
"Winners get to choose anything they want. So for now I will leave it but you have to do one thing that I will tell you to." Garrick said.
"Yeah. Whatever." I replied.
It was a great fight. I got to see my weakness and I also felt that my resolve had gotten weak, which I need to stay focused on.
Alright let's get ready for the journey towards the North-East.
