Fire and a black knife

The fire consumed Nathan completely, while Gril continued to laugh loudly, using up all his essence in order to finish him off.

While they were like this, the rest of the people around them were completely alert and confused as they looked around.

"W-we came back?" said one of the civilians looking up at the blue sky and the large crater.

At the edge of the crater, dozens of people both as mercenaries, Khan members and government agents watched in surprise at what was happening.

It was an instant, but they had all returned... but it wasn't the people they were all focusing on, it was the great castle that loomed hundreds of meters in the middle of the crater.

Tana wasn't even looking at Gril as he burned Nathan but was completely lost in her surroundings.

On the other hand, as much as Gril wanted to celebrate the fact that they had somehow escaped from the realm, he had something much more important on his hands to deal with... literally.

His flames continued to spread wildly as he continued to burn Nathan, then Gril's smile slightly left his face, to the point where only confusion... and terror remained.

"H-how?"

Suddenly, a hand came out of the fire and grabbed his neck, Gril was forced to let go of Nathan and grab the arm that was beginning to strangle him.

Gril literally saw the face of a demon come out of the fire right in front of him, then Nathan took a step forward and the fire was extinguished as if it had never existed.

All his clothes were burnt off, leaving only a part of his trousers and a singed piece of his shirt.

The moment his entire body was revealed, the black knife in his hand was also revealed, then, without a second thought, Nathan plunged the black Adan's fang into Gril's neck.

Gril's eyes only conveyed pure terror and confusion as his life began to drain from his body without even being able to defend himself.

Nathan looked at Gril, still holding his neck. His breathing was agitated and even though it seemed that the fire had not affected him, there were actually dozens of burns all over his body.

Nathan had to use extraordinary amounts of his essence to withstand Gril's fire, taking advantage of the fact that thanks to his technique, the power of Gril's fire had diminished, even if Gril hadn't even noticed.

Nathan really noticed how amazing Adan's fang was, because the fear was transmitted much faster than usual and it took him fewer attacks to achieve it.

Slowly Gril's hands released their grip on his arm, so Nathan wasted no time in letting go, knowing that he was already dead. It was then that he heard a scream.

"Nooooo!"

Tana looked with fury in her eyes at Nathan, then neither of them delayed and attacked the other.

Tana strengthened her essence to the maximum, increasing the sharpness and length of the invisible extension of her dagger.

Nathan simply ran towards her with the Adan's fang in his hand, ready to end her life as well.

He did not even think of slowing down, so he simply used his premonitions of death to predict the path of Tana's attacks.

The young woman was simply stunned as she watched Nathan dodge all her attacks as if he could see the invisible edge.

Then Nathan finally reached her.

Raising the hand with which he held Adan's black fang firmly, Nathan used all his strength to strike Tana in the chest.

A flash and a metallic sound echoed throughout the place, then Nathan's eyes widened as he saw the sword in his path.

With no time to react, that same sword moved so fast that Nathan didn't even see Faye cut his neck.

Nathan's head fell to the ground as his last thoughts began to process his sister's attack at full speed.

A moment later Nathan was only a couple of meters away from Tana, then he stopped abruptly and a second later he saw a sword pass by where his head was supposed to be.

Nathan did not have time to react again, he could only see his sister's completely serious and furious face staring at him with empty eyes.

Faye's sword slid smoothly over his neck and again his head fell to the ground.

A moment later Nathan stepped back again, and like deja vu, his head was cut off cleanly.

This time, Nathan instead of moving raised Adan's black fang and filling his arm muscles to the brim with essence, blocked Faye's sword.

Faye stopped momentarily as she saw that the young man who had just killed one of her subordinates had just blocked her sword, something that should not be possible.

Faye could feel it, the young man with the demonic mask was of the first rank second category, and yet, he was facing her, someone of the second rank third category.

Faye was quite surprised, so Nathan took advantage of this moment of pause to step back while raising his other hand.

Right now, his mind was in chaos, and he couldn't keep up with the pace of combat forever, not when he had just spent most of his essence resisting Gril's fire.

Faye saw the essence move inside Nathan's body, then she didn't hesitate and slit his throat.

Nathan clenched his jaw tightly for a moment after his neck was sliced, then as he returned he moved his neck out of the sword's path and finished summoning Adan's white fang.

His next kill he blocked with both fangs, then noticed how behind his mask his face felt slightly moist.

A moment later, Faye saw the blood begin to trickle down from under his mask.

She sensed that there were many strange things going on with the young man in front of her, so instead of swinging her sword knowing that somehow the young man would be able to dodge it, she brought her hand forward and tried to grab Nathan's mask.

Nathan's heart stopped momentarily, then in a last desperate attempt to pull away, he used all his remaining essence in his legs, jumping backwards and missing Faye's hand on his mask by millimeters.

Nathan could afford to die, but under no circumstances could he allow Faye to take his mask.

Faye felt a drop in the essence inside Nathan's body, then she realized that the young man had no more of himself to give.

She raised her sword, and for the first time Nathan felt that this time he could not dodge death.

Two great blows resounded next to them, then two men appeared right next to them.

Dilliard stepped in front of Nathan and Byron stopped Faye's sword by grabbing it with his bare hand.

Faye was momentarily startled by her father's appearance, then turned her head and looked Byron in the eye.

"Why are you stopping me?"

Byron looked at his daughter and then his gaze shifted to Nathan.

"Things have changed"

Faye looked back at Nathan.

"He kill one of my subordinates"

Byron released Faye's sword.

"You'll have time to avenge him, we have bigger problems now"

As Byron and Faye argued, Nathan stood completely still as he felt his eyes burn horribly and his head was about to explode.

Dilliard looked at Nathan and shouted.

"Take him away!"

A moment later, Nathan felt someone grab him by the shoulder and then lift him up.

He turned his head with what little strength he had left, then saw a familiar black hair.

Without a word, a mark appeared on Syril's face as she used her essence to pull Nathan away from the place, leaving Dilliard with Faye and Byron, and a large castle that emanated a sense of death and a large open door welcoming them to enter.
