Uncle Lumian

After saying her thoughts, Kaye strode out of her room. It has been at least three days since she had seen her son, and she really wanted to see Eru.

She rushed through the corridors towards her son's room. A hesitant sound of footsteps followed behind her.

"Um darling, if you are going to see Eru he is in my Study," her husband whispered behind her.

She glared at him and took a U- turn and dashed towards his study. She was extremely angry with her husband for even suggesting to send her son away.

'what is wrong with him? he was like this when our son was born too. I understand he is worried for our son's safety but sending him to dark forest is not going to help at all.' He thought, biting her lips.

She opened the study's door with a bang and rushed in. "Eru baby. Don't listen to your father. Mom will never send you away," she shouted.

This startled Ambai awake. She saw her mother rushing towards her through her hazy vision. "Huh, what? Mom, why are you shouting?" she whispered in a hoarse voice.

Kaye gazed at her dear Eru's swollen red eyes. 'Oh my poor baby was bullied by my stupid husband,' she cried internally

Kaye hugged her tightly and rocked slowly.

"My baby... you have been bullied," she whispered.

Ambai's eyes went wide. 'Wow, did father tell mother about me crying like a kid. Dad.....' she thought as she glared at her hesitant father.

Her mother also pulled away from the hug and glared at her husband.

Rukle was stunned for a second. His wife and child were glaring at him for suggesting a good thing. He sighed. "Eru, aren't you the one who begged me to send you far away from here," he said, twitching his eyes subtly.

Ambai peered at his twitching eyes. 'Eh is there a problem with dad's eyes?' she thought in wonder. But still she answered his question. "Yeah I did,"

Her mother, Kaye squeezed her tighter in her arms. "How dare you coerce my son like this? Don't you for a second think that I didn't see that wink," she shouted.

Ambai looked up at her in wonder. 'So that was a wink.' "But mom, I did request that to father," she whispered.

Kaye sniffed back her tears and kissed her forehead. "My baby, why is your father so cruel," she cried.

'Eh... where is this discussion going? Are we even talking about the same topic?' she thought in confusion.

Rukle stepped closer and hugged them both. "I worry for our dear Eru too. But only Lumian can train him," he said.

"Training? My soul power?" Ambai's muffled voice was heard in-between them.

"Yeah, Eru, I was planning on asking your uncle to teach you how to control your power," Her father whispered.

'What uncle? I have not heard of an uncle before,' Ambai thought internally but outside she smirked and whispered, "Oh that sound good,"

Her mother cupped her face and kissed her forehead. "No! I won't allow my son to be sent to the dark forest! Never!"

"Dark forest? Wow, really! I want to go," Ambai said with excitement.

She had read about the mystical Dark forest. It was located just behind the kingdom of Miriafa but it was completely inhabited with spiritual beasts and herbs. That thought of training there seemed like a welcomed distraction.

"Eru!!" her mother exclaimed.

"Yeah mom, I do want time for myself. And I Am very much interested in training my powers," Ambai said with a serious look.

Her mother pulled her to the couch and sat down next to her. "Baby, is your father forcing you? Did he bully you? If so I will hit him for you," she said clenching her fists.

Ambai held back her fists and whispered, "Mum, dad did not do anything. I wanted to go,"

"Then why were you crying? She mumbled with a confused look.

Ambai was mute. She did not want to tell her mother about her heartbreak. Just thinking about it brought tears in her eyes. She subtly wiped it away and whispered, "I...I want to explore the world,"

Kaye noticed her tears. She cupped her face and kissed her chubby cheeks. "My baby..... But why is my baby so sad."

"I Am not sad.. it's just.... I don't want to talk about it mommy," Ambai mumbled.

"Okay, when you are ready please share with your mum, I will always support you," Kaye whispered.

Ambai gave a soft smile and hugged her back. "So when am I leaving?"

Rukle sat next to them. "In two days, I have to make all arrangements. But mind this.. No one should know about your training there. You too Kaye, you should not even utter anything about this. If anyone asks, just say that Eru is heartbroken and refused to leave the room,"

Kaye nodded. "But what about the maids? Won't they find it out?"

"For that... I would like you to send meals to that room to keep up the pretences," Rukle said.

"Then it's decided, I'm going to the dark forest ah," Ambai whispered.
