Death God's System

You do not trust a man who has nothing to lose. Jester, the god of death and misery goes back in time to take revenge against his previous reincarnation. Keiren Astaroth finds himself at death's door, forced to pay for sins he did not commit. The seven races fought for a throne, the highest seat in the universe. Trapped in the future, Keiren must live as Caedes Volkov, someone the 7 races want dead. If that wasn't enough? Keiren Astaroth was the son of Ifrit, the first primordial. He was the rightful heir to what Jester was essentially stripped of. The Forgotten Throne. *** The ML will not just wake up and be oh so the devourer of worlds or anything as such. So please don't expect him to get his powers in the starting chapters. He'll grow, develop, and only then will he realize his purpose in the world. The purpose of Caedes Volkov. Would request the readers to read the first 10 chapters before dropping the book since the main story starts at chapter 8 itself. The first 7 chapters are the prologue and just an overview about the world. [Webnovel Spirity Awards 2024 Entry] 15 Power stones = 1 bonus chapter The cover is not mine, if the owner wants, I'll remove it.

An old voice?

In an unknown realm,

A boy fell from the sky, plummeting into the sea with a thunderous splash. His name was Keiren...Keiren Astaroth. The impact sent a shock through his body, and he struggled to breathe as the cold, salty water filled his lungs. Desperately, he tried to swim, but the strong currents of the ocean thrashed him about, dragging him deeper and deeper into the dark abyss.

With every ounce of strength inside him, he fought against the pull of the water. The relentless currents were too powerful, and his energy was quickly fading. His movements became sluggish, his vision blurred, and a sense of helplessness washed over him. As the last of his breath escaped in a flurry of bubbles, his consciousness slipped away.

His body continued to sink, descending through the cold, dark waters. The deeper he went, the colder it became, until finally, his body came to rest on the seabed. But the seabed was not as solid as it seemed. The sandy surface began to shift and move, absorbing the boy's body as if it were water.

Keiren was enveloped by the sand, consumed by the seabed floor, and began to freefall once more. This time, he fell through an endless void, tumbling and spinning until, with a sudden jolt, he hit a solid, stony surface.

"Thud!"

The impact stirred him from his unconscious state. Groaning, he slowly opened his eyes, wincing at the pain that shot through his body. He found himself lying on a rough, stone floor, the air around him cool and damp. The darkness of the sea had given way to a dim, eerie light, emanating from luminescent moss that clung to the walls of the hall he was in.

"Huh? Did I not drown to death? How am I still alive?!? Is this heaven? Or hell!"

The boy, first of all, checked his body to see if he had any Injuries but to his surprise, he was fine. He squinted his eyes to get a clearer look at his surroundings, he was in a huge hall with little to no things around him.

The only thing he could see was a throne with a crown placed on it. The crown was colored obsidian with a stone embedded in it.

He didn't know how but his hands started moving towards the crown by themselves.

As the 15-year-old boy touched the crown, a blinding light flashed across the hall. The boy, named Keiren rubbed his eyes, squinting them to get a view of what actually happened.

He glanced at the empty throne that the crown was previously placed on. Rubbing his eyes again only to see the same thing.

"Where did the crown go?"

He glanced around the hall again but except the throne, there was nothing else to be seen. Tired, he tried to sit on the throne like an idiot, acting like he was really a king.

lo and behold

"Your body may wither but your soul won't,

Your memories may be sealed but your personality won't,

Your powers may have vanished but I won't!

I welcome the firstborn of the Ifrit and Gaia. The son of chaos itself!" A seemingly old voice whispered into his ears as he sat on the throne, frozen in place.

"What are you talking about?" Keiren asked, trying to appear nonchalant.

The voice did not wait for him and continued

"Allow me to explain the history of this universe, The world spirit created 14 beings, each possessing different characteristics.

These beings were known as the Primordials. Ifrit and Gaia, 2 of these beings married and gave birth to many children! The god of lightning, Fire, Water, Air, Earth and countless others. Their firstborn, however, was special.

His name was Kaal el and he was no god. Not being able to materialize his soul into a weapon, he was a stain to the bloodline of Gods. Being the eldest and the most loved son of Ifrit, also known as Chaos, however, Kaal was given the right to the highest seat in this world.

The forgotten throne.

A throne that allowed him to rule over all beings. He was bestowed by the throne the power to materialize his soul into a crown, thus having the power needed to rule over this world.

Hating how their father had played favorites, his siblings colluded with the descendants of the other Primordials and launched a revolt against Kaal, killing him before he could fully materialize his soul.

Unfortunately, these gods did not know that this was all a plot set by other races and thus, the 2 Primordials, along with an entire race of gods were wiped out to extinction."

"What difference does it make? Why are you telling me all this!?" exclaimed the boy, he was confused,

"You must remember, this isn't a legacy or an inheritance but your fate that was left unfulfilled."

"At least tell me how to leave this place. How should I get strong again? Who even are you?" Keiren asked, his mind ringing with countless questions and doubts.

"Huff… So much for a villain huh?" The voice sighed, its voice a shallow pitch so that the boy wouldn't hear.

"You shall not leave until I want you to." The old voice whispered in a condescending and eerie tone.

The boy stood there in a daze, waiting for the voice to explain further.

"You can leave after the tasks I give you are complete."

"Uhhh! Why the hell do I have to stay? Why should I even listen to you, much less believe… I am going!" The boy snorted, walking down the stairs to the gate. He stomped his feet hard on the ground and pushed the doors like a rebellious kid but as soon as his hands touched the doors, his body was sucked into it.

The next second he was lying on the seabed as if he had just been expelled from the seabed.

The boy started struggling, squirming until he was unconscious again.

A few hours later,

He opened his eyes and found himself in front of the throne. Keiren couldn't believe what was happening and tried to leave until he could not anymore.

"You shall not leave until I want you to."
