Death by Desire: A Vampire-Lycan Love Story

Cora is unique among the vampires in Gray Vale. She is half fae. She has a beating heart. And she can bring life to the vampires around her, allowing them the ability to die when they desire it rather than being cursed with the same dreadful existence for eternity. Cora’s gift makes available this “death by desire” that is prized in the vampire world. Offering life to vampires is a beautiful gift, but it can also be used as a weapon. And that is what the royal family of vampires wishes to do. With no other choice, she must marry into the royal family for protection from those who are threatened by her ability. But when a “pet” lycan is gifted to her who is her true mate, will she find a way to break off the engagement, threatening her family and everyone else she loves in the process? Can her mate's lycan pack possibly win against the vampires who do not want to part with her? Or will they be forced apart? Published exclusively on Webnovel. I Remember You

"What happened?" Penelope asked her daughter, breathless after having run to find where Cora had gone.

Penelope had left her with Grayson for a few moments, and then they both disappeared! Her thoughts had been a mess imagining what could have happened to them.

Did he take her somewhere? She knew that Grayson was only trying to help her—trying to figure out a way to calm her and get her to take the flowers back, but the way Cora seemed to gravitate toward him and react to his attention made Penelope uncomfortable. But she didn't know what to do about it.

Penelope was tempted to just tell her daughter the truth, regardless of the risks. If it went too far, if Cora's affections became too intensely focused on the vampire, that was exactly what she was going to do. She could not stand by and watch Cora hurt herself or her mate without realizing what it was she was even doing.

"I don't want to talk about it," Cora said, avoiding her mother's eyes.
