David could sense Theo in pursuit of him, and he stopped walking. There was no point in running even though every instinctive fiber of his being told him to, warned him that danger was coming. Theo leapt through the air, landing on his cousin's shoulders and forcing him to the ground with a loud snarl.
"Dammit," David cursed, slowly pushing himself off of the ground. Theo was in his wolf, but David refused the urge to shift into his fur to defend himself. That's what his cousin wanted—a fair fight.
Instead, David stood and glared at the wolf with the golden crescent eyes. Theo's snarl grew, and he licked his lips before curling them back over his teeth.
