Chapter 82 - Face to face

"I don't know if you're listening, but it's rude to eavesdrop on private conversations between siblings. If you want to talk to me so badly, why not come closer? The ones in the next apartment over would probably be the quickest. Anyway, I'll be waiting" I said, breaking the device afterward.

Of course, I wasn't really angry. If I were, they'd probably be dead without even realizing it. I was more puzzled. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt for not hurting Ruby. Either way, now all that was left was to wait for them to come.

"Sir, looks like we've been found out" said a man in sunglasses while holding the phone to his ear.

Seconds passed in complete silence on the other end of the line. Then, breaking all expectations, loud, boisterous laughter echoed.
