At Ilya's words, I casually nodded, which left her momentarily surprised. Honestly, I couldn't blame her. I wasn't exactly sure what she expected from my help, but it was likely something quite different from what I had in mind.

"I'll give you a heads-up so you won't be surprised: my method involves making small cuts, and you'll heal them. We'll keep going like this for as long as we can today."

As I suspected, Ilya's eyes widened at my words. However, what really surprised me was the fact that she accepted what I said so nonchalantly. After all, as necessary as it was, this was still a form of self-harm.

"But... what if I can't heal them?"

"Hey, calm down, Ilya. It's just a little cut; I'm not going to do anything too serious to myself. You can relax. Besides, to be honest, I don't even feel that kind of pain anymore"
