As soon as I woke up the next day, the first thing I saw was a bag. If it had been just any bag, I wouldn't have paid much attention, but this was no ordinary bag. Inside it, there was enough money for Ruby and me to live comfortably for a long time without worrying about anything.
As usual, I woke up early. We had classes today, so I quickly went to prepare breakfast for Ruby and me. To be honest, there wasn't much in the fridge; the last time I shopped was last month, so it was expected that supplies were low. Therefore, I went for something simple: eggs, bacon, toast, and juice.
I used the remaining time to message Ellen and Ilya, asking them to meet me at my workplace after their college classes were over. Their replies were quick, confirming they would be there. Although I found it odd that none of them asked why we were meeting, I just shrugged it off.
