"Lilith! Lilith! Where are you?"
Little Lilith tried her best to stifle her laughter. With her hiding under the oak table of her own room, her maid scratched the back of her head, knitting her brows in worry.
"Oh, Lilith... you have to take a bath and wear your dress. The others are waiting for you~!"
However, Lilith did not answer. With a smug grin on her face, she continued hiding, having no intention to be seen.
By this time, three years have already passed. Since Amon got Lilith to live in the Kingdom of Gehenna, she has been taken care of by the maids at the kingdom.
From time to time, Eucraick was the one guiding her since he had more time compared to the king, King Blanc.
Blanc was also excited when he saw Lilith brought to the kingdom. Unlike any other ruler, he was open minded and he immediately took care of Lilith under his wing.
Just like Amon, they were all surprised to see her hair blue and her eyes yellow and green--having heterochromia. It made them wonder how it was possible.
They also had assumptions that maybe this Lilith is no ordinary human being. However, when she scarred herself from running, it should have healed quickly and immediately just like how other immortal beings could.
For Lilith, the scar stayed with her for quite some time and her blood clot took longer than expected.
If she were an immortal--any kind of immortal--then this wouldn't have been impossible.
Lilith should have healed on the spot. It's the most common trait of being a magical being.
Since then, they thought that Lilith is a human. Her physical attributes, however, begged to differ.
"Lilith, come on..."
The maid called out once more. With her playful tone slowly leaving her voice, she knit her brows together in worry.
"We have to prepare because you will be meeting the King's family soon... they are expecting to meet you, too..."
Lilith pouted. It was because of this event that made her hide from her maid even though she's her favorite maid.
She is already used to the people of this kingdom, why meet other people?
Lilith knew the concept of family. She knew that each individual has his or her own family.
But meeting the king's family and being fond of him? She suddenly felt sad that what if she saw them, the king wouldn't want her anymore?
Lilith knew as she grew that she is not the real daughter of anyone in this kingdom. She was also told at an early age that her mother died. Although the concept of death to her is still confusing, she knew that her mother will never come back.
That is why Lilith saw the people here in the kingdom as her guardians. Specifically, the maid looking for her acted as her mother.
King Blanc and the other higher ranks didn't have the time to take care of her. Her maid, Sicily, took care of her wholeheartedly while Eucraick visited her to teach her every now and then.
"Lilith! Please... your mama Sicily is getting impatient."
The maid then crossed her arms in front of her chest, stomping her foot at the same time.
"Please come out. You don't want to give mama Sicily a hard time, do you?"
"No..."
Sooner or later after hearing the small, cute voice, emerged a little figure from under the oak table. With her pouting as she stared straight into Sicily's eyes, Lilith clasped her hands together in front of her stomach.
Lilith also had a weird habit of addressing to herself in third person point of view... maybe also one of her cute traits about her.
"Does Lilith have to meet King Blanc's family?"
"Lilith..."
The maid immediately knew what the little girl is worried about. With her reaching out to her, Lilith slowly walked her way towards her. The moment she reached her, Sicily quickly pulled her in a tight embrace, making the little girl giggle.
"You're still our favorite Lilith! You will always be the number one little girl in my eyes!"
"Then..." Lilith's giggle ceased gradually. "Why should Lilith meet the king's family?"
"Of course, you should," Sicily answered, sitting on her bed and cradling Lilith in her arms. "You may be friends with the king's grandchildren! Some of them are your age, you know!"
When Lilith heard this, her eyes sparkled like stars as she felt excited of the thought of meeting the king's grandchildren."
"Children same age as Lilith's?"
"Yes!" Sicily nodded enthusiastically. "If not your exact same age, maybe near yours!"
Lilith smiled ear to ear. Obviously, this sight of hers made Sicily feel assured that she has now gotten the full cooperation of little Lilith.
"Are you excited?" Sicily asked her, Lilith now nodding her head enthusiastically. "Good~! Now let's go take a bath, and you wear your best clothes!"
And with that, Sicily now carried Lilith towards the bathroom to give her a bath in preparation for today's event.

"Shall you always have to avoid Lilith?"
In the throne room appeared King Blanc, Eucraick, and Amon, patiently waiting for their visitors--the king's family. With Eucraick's question heard throughout the room, Amon let out a sigh and answered his question.
"Why is there a need for me to get close to a little girl I saved? Besides... she has already grown for three years without me because of the kingdom's help. There is no need for her to be involved with me--a Grim Reaper."
"Well, yes..." King Blanc chimed in, getting the attention of the other two beside him. "But you know, as she grows, she has to know how she came to this kingdom. She knows of her mother's death, but how about her coming here; how she is saved?"
Amon didn't know how to answer without sounding disrespectful. With him just shaking his head as he didn't want to talk about this, he just said what he thought was right.
"I am the Grim Reaper--Death himself. A little child is clumsy and if she sees my eyes accidentally through this mask that helps me control my powers, then she shall die and I will be breaking the promise the human asked of me."
