Chapter 14

I awoke to an empty bed.

My hand smashed the snooze button on the almost deafening alarm clock as I sat up in bed. My eyes looked for any sign of him. A sign that I had not just imagined the most passionate night I had ever experienced. Instead, all I found was Ash curled at my feet, purring loudly.

I groaned my way to the bathroom, going to work after a night like that would be impossible. I caught a glance at myself in the mirror. Light bruises littered my body where his mouth had been. I closed my eyes and imagined them on my body. My legs trembled at the thought of his mouth and the places it traveled last night. That had to have been real…

I'm gonna need a cold shower.
