The one who loves me too much

She reached out to collect it and their hands touched. She was teleported back in time to the night she was leaving the café. She gasped and dropped the paper to the ground.

"I'm sorry, she needs some time to gather herself," her Aunty apologized on her behalf.

"Have we ever met?" Delilah looked him in the eyes, searching for answers.

"I think I would remember a face as lovely as yours if I had met you previously. But sadly, no we haven't met before."

Delilah smiled, "I'm sorry, my mind, it's a mess and very foggy."

"Don't worry about it, I'll be back" He closed the door behind him as he left the room.

"He is so handsome; Lilah do not embarrass yourself."

"Aunty!!"

"What? Am I not allowed to admire art? That's a man that's seriously attracted to you, he has this haunting beauty about his face and those eyes of his are very strange and piercing. Like one of those men in romantic novels."

"There is something very familiar about him," Delilah said as she stared at the door.

Soon after, there was a knock on the door, which opened to reveal Kim Dae-Jung, who was holding pink peonies, Delilah's favorite flowers.

"Good afternoon, Lilah." "I heard about what happened; how are you doing?" Kim had a worried expression on his face as he kept the bouquet on the table in the room and kissed her on the cheek.

"Thanks, Kim, I'm feeling much better. The stress of school got to me."

"I'm so glad you're okay," Kim said as he held her hand.

Delilah smiled at him and kissed his cheeks.

"This is my Aunty Ade, aunty this is Kim Dae-Jung. We go to the same university and remember I told you my friend Malia also interned at his law firm."

"Ah a handsome successful lawyer, it is raining beautiful men today" her aunty winked at her.

Delilah blushed with embarrassment.

"So why are you in school?"

"I'm working on my doctorate."

"Wow, Lilah, I had no idea he was this handsome. Kim Dae-Jung, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Kim Dae-Jung kissed her aunt on the cheek.

"Oh, and he's also a gentleman."

Delilah's Aunty flattered him by touching her chest.

Kim gazed at Delilah with such tenderness and care that her Aunty sensed the sizzling chemistry between them and that Kim desired to be alone with her.

"If you both will excuse me, I'll be on my way now, I'll try to be back before you are discharged later today," said her Aunty as she gave her the biggest hug and left the room.

Kim sat on the bed next to her.

"Lilah what's truly going on with you?"

"It's honestly such a blur, these past few weeks have been confusing and overwhelming. I have moments where I black out and can't remember anything. I keep having these strange dreams that seem like a message. But then it's so crazy that I feel like I am losing my mind."

She went on to tell him everything she remembered from her dreams and the symbols on her spine.

Kim Dae-Jung paid attention to her and was always present when he was with Delilah.

"Lilah, I think you study too hard and you are just under chronic stress. The mind tends to react in bizarre ways when under tension and extreme stress. These dreams about sorcerers and trapped souls are nothing more than just a dream. Do not overthink things, with this time, you now have off from school, I want you to just rest and take care of yourself and let me take care of you."

Delilah rubbed her brow; after all, she was a workaholic, and this wasn't the first time stress had landed her in the hospital.

"You are right Kim."

Dr. Morian entered the room as she and Kim were talking, holding a small bag containing her medication. Delilah's heart rate dropped; there was something about Dr. Morian that made her skin heat up. The redness on her cheeks would have been visible if she had fairer skin.

"Sorry to interrupt" Dr. Morian looked at Kim and then at Delilah. He was a bit taken aback by Kim's presence.

"Hi, I'm Kim Dae-Jung, you are the doctor who took care of Lilah, thank you," said Kim as he got up and offered his hand.

Kim and Doctor Morian shook hands.

"Just doing my job, I brought your prescription, we ran more tests, and you seem to also have very low iron levels. So, these should help, also a lot of sleep and rest."

Dr. Morian smiled as he handed it to Delilah.

Kim observed Morian and Delilah's entire exchange, sensing Morian's attraction to Delilah. Morian's gaze was intense every time he looked at Delilah; he didn't want to take his gaze away from her.

"I have signed your discharge form, and you may leave. "It was a pleasure meeting you," Doctor Morian said, smiling again.

"Are you sure she should be discharged?"

"Trust me, I wouldn't discharge a patient if I feel like they could be in any potential danger. She is free to go, as long as she follows my instructions, she will recover quickly. Dr. Morian nodded at Kim and left the room.

Kim grabbed her duffle bag, which her Aunt had brought with her change of clothes earlier.

"I can't wait to get home and sleep in my bed," Delilah said as they both walked out of the room. They left after she changed in the bathroom.
