Lover’s Bliss

***NETHERREALM***

Ciaran had no idea what had happened because he couldn't project into the dream realm. All of his efforts were futile, and he was confused and hurt. He was confident that he had amassed enough energy to traverse the dream realm.

As the doors to Ciaran's chambers opened, Grim said, "Save your energy."

"We know what you've been up to."

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb, even though you are stupid. Did you really think you could continue to travel the dream realm under our noses."

"Mori intercepted one of your dreams."

"I will never stop fighting to get back to her."

"God you are pathetic, it has been eons Ciaran, save yourself the heartache and let her go. It hurts me to see you do this to yourself. He won; he got her."

"That's a lie."

"Why do you think you can't reach her anymore, it's because her heart belongs to another now. Let her go Ciaran, I could send you into another incarnation. I'll even do a kind gesture and let you choose a nice family to be born into. You can finally be happy, let me help you begin again."

"But I will always be empty without her, I don't want to live a life where I cannot be with her.'

"When Mori returns, remember I tried to help you. He will destroy you."

"I'll take my chances." Ciaran fell to the floor, he wept. The pain he endured was too much to bear.

***Hall of Sheol***

"Where is Mori? Has he forsaken his throne and duties?" asked the chief reaper to an annoyed Grim who sat on the throne.

"We do not question the actions of the master; our duty is to serve him and his realm." Grim replied, "he had no interest in quelling the uneasy residents of the Nether-Realm."

"I hear he now lives on earth as a mortal, perhaps the duties of the throne grew too much of a burden for him to carry."

"He did seem rather weary last I saw him" replied another entity.

"He has gone against nature, only disaster will follow." Added a reaper.

"What would you all have me do? Should I journey to the earth, and drag him back here?"

"You are his vizier, the only one he listens to. Please talk sense into him, urging him to return, if the rumor of his absence spreads throughout all the realms, nothing but chaos will ensue." Replied a Shade.

"I have heard you all, I shall take all your council into consideration," said Grim as he got up and vanished.

*Next day*

"Silence! I will have order! Yelled Grimm with the base of his voice.

All the entities present were quiet.

"We aren't children or Neanderthals." Replied Grimm, annoyed at the disruptive court.

"Apologies my lord" said the Shade, Lucian. "It's just, we wonder about our leader, he abandoned the nether realm, I couldn't understand why, then I heard a vicious rumor, that he lives as a human on earth. So, you must forgive our confusion."

"Well, those are just rumors, he didn't abandon his realm. He is just on a hiatus, is that such a bad thing, I mean he hasn't left the nether realm since life first came into existence. even immortal beings crave a break, especially dealing with vile creatures like you all."

"Don't cover for him Grimm, it's common knowledge that Mori has been in love with a particular soul for eons." Said the reaper Gali.

All the entities present began to murmur.

"As if that wasn't bad enough, now the soul eaters are rallying, plotting to take over the Nether realm. Does his grace even know this? Or is he too occupied with his pet." Said Lucian the reaper condescendingly.

"How dare you all!! Mori is your lord. This is the highest of treasons. Get out, all of you at once." Ordered Grimm. All the entities got up and exited the court.
