Fifth Lie

After their serious discussion, they started to talk about light topics.  They also talked about her other relatives who's been supporting her since the accident. Her relatives want to shoulder all of the things that her parents left her, even the responsibility to raise her as they do not want to left her alone. Kaori's relatives from her father's side decided to shoulder her financial needs. Of course, her parents leave her with all of their assets but her relatives would like to support the little girl as much as they can and in every possible way. They even offered their homes so that she will feel less lonely but Kaori humbly declined their offers saying that she wants to stay at her own 'home'. They were reluctant but respect her desire as well. Since Hiromi and his wife, Akane will be with her then they can at least rest assured that she will be taken care of.

There are so many people who loves her.

Good. That is good to know. Kosei think so. As long there are so many people that will love and care for her, then she will be okay. She should be okay.

After few hours, they decided to go home but Tsubaki and Watari insisted Kosei to stay and entertain Kaori for the mean time because they said "We know you need time and Kosei was really worried about Kaori, just talk and be comforted to each other's presence." Kaori stated that they can talk some other time as she will return to school but the two won't accept it and glared at Kosei as he sighed.

"I understand. It's fine. I am quite tired from playing earlier and it's still not that late.. I guess? Well as long as it is fine for Hiromi-san, I can stay here a little bit longer. Why don't we discuss the lessons that you've missed?" Kosei offered and Kaori made a funny face at the mentioned of study.

Tsubaki and Watari then bid their goodbyes and left the two who went to Kaori's room. Kosei hand her his notes for her reference and they started to study.

"Oh! So there is a formula like this? It looks complicated! Just by looking at your notes, I feel dizzy!" it was only half an hour when they started to study the new math lesson and she already complained, Kosei looked at her with disbelief. "More importantly, your penmanship really needs to improve." Of course, she really never forgot to make fun of his writing.

"As long as it is legible, it should be okay. Shouldn't you be thankful?" he reprimanded. He's already used to her and do not really take any offense from her words. Kaori is just being Kaori and he's more than glad with that.

"Pft. I understand. I understand. Thank you so much, Arima Kosei for your holy notes and it saves me from any trouble," she said half-heartedly and started to go back to her studies again, "thank you so much for everything and sorry for worrying you."

It was just a soft voice, and Kosei looked at her, surprised. He is not quite sure if he heard it right as the it was said like a whisper. Kosei was about to dismiss it thinking that it was just a imagination but as he look to Kaori again, she is still looking at his notes, but he can clearly see how her cheeks reddened as she looks so bashful.

Kosei sighed, "What are you apologizing for? Didn't already Tsubaki and Watari told you enough?"

"I-I know! It is just---"

"You are our friend. You always support us in everything we do. When Tsubaki got sick and was unable to join the softball competition that she's been waiting for, aren't you the one who comforted her first? When Watari got a fight with our senior who mocked him and accused him of stealing his girlfriend, aren't you the one who bravely confronted and slapped our senior? We all called for the teacher who will stop the senior but you were upset to the words they used for Watari and took the matters on your own without caring about your hand that you protect so much for your violin." He smiled at him softly, he can list everything she has done for them if she wants to but Kaori already looked so embarrass and this was an unusual sight.

He saw her as if she wants to deny all of those things but he did not let her. "And did you already forgot? You saved me. You saved me when no one can."
